Belinda Northman vs Cicilia De'Reignhardt

Well... Cicilia couldn't help but look forward to this match. It is no secret that Belinda Northman was related to the former champion but also that she was quite the formidable wrestler herself. If her reputation alone wasn't enough, the German had taken it upon herself to do some research and learn more about such a foe. Admittedly, she didn't so so purely because she was going to fight her... in fact, the only reason she chose to dig deeper at all was because she was looking up some earlier matches of Ouka's after their fight, trying to learn more about her. By mere chance... or perhaps probability (because there were a LOT of them), Cicilia had stumbled across one of Ouka's matches against Belinda and she found herself enthralled... Each one of them had been so back and forth, one could never tell who had a solid upper hand! It was these matches that encouraged the German to learn more about her foe.

This wasn't going to be a match where Cicilia was going to turn the ring into a stomping-ground. She had prepared herself for a long, grueling match... but she was confident she could make it. She SURE AS ALL HELL wasn't going to let herself get pushed around either.

Cicilia stepped out from backstage as her theme blasted over the arena, the German committing to no act of showmanship for her audience. No dances or poses, nothing to hype them up more than what her music and her appearance brought forth themselves. She was never into any of that crap... and it never seemed as if she needed to commit to it either. She was here to fight, not to show off.

That didn't stop the audience cheering her on, however, their enthusiasm not at all dampered by the Juggernaut's stoic personality. She couldn't help but smile faintly at that. Even if she didn't put up much to earn that praise, they still gave it. T'was a gift she appreciated for certain. Not necessary... but nice. The Boxer would walk down the ramp, letting out a loud sigh to calm her nerves... They shot fire through her with each step, anticipating the battle to come. Heh... Why was she so nervous...? This was going to be fun! Damn nerves...

slipping under the bottom rope, the German would rise to her feet, tossing her jacket out of the ring in one swift motion. She would stand in the center, arms crossed as she looked across the way towards her opponent's side...

You got this... She muttered to herself under her breath. You've been through worse...

Well, this was an interesting match up...Belinda was a bit annoyed at first as she had actually though that she was facing her older sister at first. Just the sight of that name...even if it was a different spelling had first caused her to think of that chance. Though, it was not like she was disappointed when she read the rest of the name on the card.

Belinda had seen a fair bit of what Cicilia had to offer, she had especially kept a close eye to the match between Ouka Shumisen and Cicilia De'Reignhardt. After all, Ouka was one of her greatest rivals and she had been able to take the redheaded woman to her limits and then some. All that simply pointed to Cicilia being a tough opponent.

The Swede had decided to go with her blue and yellow outfit this time, as she felt a bit like this would be a special occasion, after all this was a chance to face off against a new potential rival! She was excited for that! Being one half of the tag champions, Belinda still had to represent Blazing Blizzard, so with one of the tag belts wrapped around her waist she would do just that.

Stepping out onto the Gorilla Position as she waited for the stage crew to get everything ready. She would pull her hood over her head and do a quick motion, shadow boxing in the air as she waited. When her theme hit, the Shooting Star literally shot out of the curtains and in a dash came running towards the ring. Like a speeding comet running through the sky she made her way to the ring and jumped up, diving into the ring through the middle and bottom ropes, rolling through the dive and ending up on one knee! She stood up and ran to the turnbuckle where a swift jump had her up onto the middle ropes.

Both arms shooting up into the air as she crowd would cheer for the fan favorite Swede, arms coming down to pull off that hood and then turn and jump off the corner post. Moving to unbuckle her belt as she'd hand it to the referee. The Swede would then lean back in her corner. Awaiting the introductions of the challengers in this match, eyes moving to look on at the raven haired opponent she'd have tonight...she looked strong, strong enough to hold her own against Ouka. That meant she was strong enough to hold her own against her as well.

Cicilia's first reaction towards Belinda's entrance was one of... skeptism, the woman hamming up her appearance like it was thanksgiving dinner. Every move she made was showy, exaggerated and were in no short supply. In a sense, she was the exact opposite of Cicilia in many different ways! She was a ham, Cicilia was direct. Belinda wore national colors, Cicilia wore monochrome. Belinda was a champion... and Cicilia wasn't- wait WHAT!?

The Juggernaut's eyes widened as she spotted the championship belt that Belinda sported, a signal that she was one of the strongest wrestlers out there! She... how... HOW did she not know about her status when she researched her!? Surely, she would've seen her championship match FIRST when her name came up! Clearly, she didn't look deep enough into her... Apparently her family was a family of champions... Cicilia both admired that... and was completely jealous of it. In a way, Cecilia and Belinda had a similar relationship familial-wise as Cicilia and her older sister Elfrida... Perhaps a basic comparison, but one nonetheless... one she didn't quite know how to feel about. On the one level, Belinda was like someone she could aspire to be, a champion who stands above her sister (...at least currently as she's the only one holding a belt), a legendary wrestler among the AFW!

...On the other hand, she had a much more functional family (probably...) but then... one couldn't get much worse than Elfrida. That sent a surge of jealousy through her, almost bitterly so, The boxer's mixed feelings lasting all the way up to where the blonde-Swedish bomber slipped under the ropes...

Bah, whatever. She could lament her life later. Now, she was fighting a champion and that deserved the proper respect! Even Cicilia knew that when one fought someone of this status, it was only right to award them the courtesy they earned with their fighting skill.

"It's... an honor to meet you, Belinda Northman." Cicilia greeted as the two wrestlers rested in their corner. "...And a greater one to finally fight you. Thank you for this opportunity." They both knew this was set up by the AFW and that they really didn't have much say in who they fought in matches like these but still... the sentiment stood.

Yeah, Belinda had a little flair to herself. Her entrance had become routine for her at this point and she quite enjoyed taking that sprint to the ring. Now that she was in there, she jumped off the turnbuckle and handed off her belt to the referee, turning to face Cicilia as she would look on at her opponent.

She would stand in her corner as she heard Cicilia greet her from the other side of the ring. Belinda would nod her head and walk forward to the center of the ring, placing her hands on her hips a she would throw a kind smile to Cicilia. " Honor huh? I think you're giving me too much praise there." Belinda said with a little chuckle. " It's an honor to meet you too and to fight you. Checked out some of your matches and you seem pretty damn tough." Belinda said as she would nod her head.

Belinda would reach out with her right hand offering her foe tonight a handshake to start things off friendly and sportsmanlike. " Don't thank me, but...if they hadn't set up this match, I probably would have asked for it soon enough." Belinda said with a wink to Cicilia as she would wait and see if she got that handshake, if it happened she would give Cicilia a firm handshake, gripping firmly onto that hand, before breaking off and taking a few steps back so the match could start.

Cicilia would follow suit, following Belinda to meet her in the center. She couldn't tell if the swede was just being humble or she actually believed what she said, but either way the German would simply shake her head.

"No, fighting someone such as you IS an honor... Some people would take matches like this for granted, thinking that they deserve it. I'm just glad I got across the ring from you." Cicilia was rarely one to just HAND OUT compliments, let alone butter someone up! She'd sooner dash someone across the pavement before she gave praise to the undeserving. Belinda was a champion and she earned that title through blood, sweat and grit. Belinda was genuine and strong and it made Cicilia PROUD she got to trade fists with one of the AFW's finest! Even if she didn't smile, hop up and down like a girly-girl in front of her idol, the Juggernaut would mark down this day in her history books as one of her finest moments... even if she ended up losing absolutely horribly.

Belinda might never know how much her words meant to Cicilia when she stated how this match was BOUND to happen anyway... She didn't feel worthy of this praise, that she would be referred to by the AFW's Tag-Champion like this, with such high regard! She had to wonder how many women back-talked Belinda, treated her like dirt despite her coming down from her highest position to offer them a fight... She wondered how many people thought of her as nothing more than an obstacle to crush...

Cicilia did not... She viewed her as a symbol of excellence, someone who rose to the top and held it with an iron grip. She was strength, skill and she treated the German with respect... All these things culminated in a little fluttery feeling in the Boxer's chest... it almost brought a tear to her eye, really!

The boxer smiled, reaching out to take the hand Belinda offered in a handshake, her sanguine eyes for once not channeling the fires of hell... but the peace and excitement of heaven.

"I'll do my best to give you the fight you deserve." Cicilia promised as the two stepped away from one another in preparation for the match to start. The Juggernaut took a deep breath, letting out all her anxieties and frustrations, leaving only the calm attentiveness of a fighter... She didn't want her rage... not in this fight... All she wanted was to enjoy a match with Belinda Northman... A worthy woman to call her "example".

Belinda could clearly tell that Cicilia was rather genuine in what she was saying, she had an air of seriousness to her word that made it feel as if she meant every word she was letting out. Which made Belinda feel a bit...embarrassed but also proud. She had seen how tough Cicilia was after all and getting such honest praise from her got her to bring her free hand up to the back of her own head and scratch at it a little.

The Swede gave that handshake as much of a good and firm handshake as she could as she would fix her own red eyes against Cicilia's. Sanguine eyes meeting as they stared each other down. The Shooting Star would smile just a little as she would then release that arm.

She backed up a few steps as the crowd was starting to cheer for the upcoming action. The referee would then call for the bell and with it, the match was on it's way.

Belinda stepped forward and would raise her arms up, being her knees a little as she went into her standard grappling stance. The Swede would nod her head and then start to circle Cicilia, looking to a good chance to move forward and offer a lock up to the raven haired German.

DING!

...And like that, the match began.

Just because she admired Belinda, that didn't mean she was going to take it easy on her and dishonor her as a fighter! No, she was going to be just as brutal and relentless as she was with almost everyone else that got in the ring with her... She would have to keep herself restrained, not let the tide of battle draw out her inner demons but maybe... maybe she could do that...

Cicilia and Belinda both dropped into their wrestling stances, the two circling each other for a few moments like a pair of lionesses circling downed prey between them... Despite how aggressive the Juggernaut could be, it was the champion who made the first move, looking to test her strength against the boxer in a lock-up! Cicilia saw the challenge... and wonder what she could've been thinking... Why would she want to lock up with her? Wouldn't it be safer if she kept her distance?

...Maybe that was the point. Maybe Belinda didn't care because she was that much of a badass.

Yup. That was definitely it.

Far be it from her to turn down a challenge! Cicilia would lock hand with Belinda Northman, pushing against her with a Juggernaut's VAST wealths of strength! ...Except Cici wasn't moving to push the swede back... No, she aimed to CRUSH her under the weight of her power! The German did her best to loom over her opponent, to push DOWN rather than out and shove her to one knee!

Moving forward, the Shooting Star made her way closer and closer to the boxer, after a short few moments of circling one another the blond decided to step forward and offer that test of strength. She knew though, Belinda was no fool. She knew how strong Cicilia was. She'd seen it in the match against Ouka Shumisen.

Belinda had seen clear as day as her rival had been able to hold her ground, but just barely against the boxer. She knew that her and Ouka was pretty much equal when it came to strength. Despite that she wanted to test herself. Also, if she could overpower Cicilia then she could lord it over Ouka just as much as her recent victory over the redhead!

Stepping forward and locking up with those hands, fingers entwining with each other the blond expected to meet Herculean might, and she was not disappointed! Feeling right away the pressure build up in her arms as Cicilia tried to push her downwards! Trying to force the blond to her knees! "Grrgh!" Belinda growled and grit her teeth, she widened her stance, bending one leg a bit more than the other by her knee. Arms flexing and her core strength coming into play....

She would keep her eyes fixed with Cicilia's though....the Boxer was strong, but Belinda could hold out! She could feel it! She would straighten up again, trying to work them back into a more neutral point as she grit her teeth harder, her body showing off how fit it was as it was forced to flex quite a bit to hold against and try and fight back against Cicilia.

T'was Belinda's mistake trying to fight back against a monster such as she. Oh, sure, Cicilia knew her opponent could fight her in this hold, stand her ground for a little while... but then the German never intended to keep her here either. Enough matches with Ouka and Belinda had informed the Juggernaut that those two women had near equal power, that red-head giving her a great amount of resistance when they clashed...

...All she wanted to do was trap Belinda in a hold she couldn't easily slip out of, the pressure of their test-of-strength hold grounding them both.

And so, the Boxer YANKED the champion in, hopefully disorienting her as all that strength the boxer held back RUSHED out... right into a waiting knee Cicilia had raised up to plant into her gut! Should her counter-attack hit as planned, Cicilia would waste no time going on her classic offensive rush, lashing out with an utterly brutal punch across the swede's face, almost as if aiming to knock her to the ground in one vicious attack! She didn't expect her to fall, however... If this woman was anything like Ouka, she would stand tall, try to show she was tough... and that would only lead to further pain.

If Belinda did not fall from Cicilia's strike or if it didn't hit at all, the German would reach out, grabbing Belinda's shoulder and whirling her around so that her back was to her! From there, Cicilia would JERK her back into her arms, arms locking around her neck in a headlock as the German attempted to drag her to the mat!

Belinda locked up with Cicilia and held her ground, not backing down to that strength of the raven haired fighter, but to her surprise all that pressure she was holding back soon vanished. The eyes of Belinda went wide as she was pulled towards Cicilia instead and then that knee came and smacked into her abs! " Guah!" She coughed out, the crowd didn't seem to like what could be considered a bit of a cheap shot.

Yet, it didn't seem as if Cicilia cared about that right now as she quickly threw her arm back before smacking Belinda in the face! Snapping the face of Belinda to the side as a few drops of spittle shot out of her mouth, she was staggered and forced to take a step back. A bit dazed after that punch she was easily pulled around so her back was facing Cicilia, as the German then stepped forward and grabbed a hold of her head, starting to try and jerk and wrench Belinda down onto the mat.

The Swede didn't go down easy though, she widened her stance and would bring her hands up to Cicilia's arms, trying to jostle a bit more to the side of Cecilia as she struggled to stay standing....just long enough to shift her grip from those arms and instead try and wrap her arms around Cicilia's waist!

With a heave, she would try and swiftly hoist Cicilia off of her feet and try and throw her over head in an arch, attempting to smack her down with a Saito Suplex! Trying to slam the boxer down onto her shoulders!
