The Fated Encounter (For Kerf)

One Year Later...

Only getting one match in the last 8 months of her AFW contract, Navi has been doing work for a number of other promotions in Japan...but few paid as much as Friction matches did.

As she walked into the AFW Complex clad in a simple shirt and skirt, she wondered why that was...

The sole reason she came up with is that all her rivals either left the company (such as Yukiko or Kat) or have defeated her and she couldn't challenge them again due to other match obligations (like with Ace).

There was really only one name in the company that was still here, and she had unfinished business with...

Regardless, the blonde was marching towards the AFW booking office to get herself a match, no matter if it was with someone knew, or someone she has fought before...

Adrian was feeling slightly smug with herself as she walked through the corridors near the AFW office, it had been a while but she was starting to get back into the swing of things, and also managed to wipe the smile off of Gwendolyn's face in the process! With one more match on the horizon she once again found her schedule clearing up and while she could have left herself the time off, if she was back full time that meant she couldn't afford to dip out of view again.

Strolling along she saw Navi walking with purpose in her eyes, heading straight for management's office. "Hey Navi, long time no see." She called out as the blonde passed her by.

"Well...think of the devil, and she shalt appear...", Navi thought, with slight surprise as she saw Adrian walking past her.

"Yeah...not since I almost beat you last year", the blonde would say to the former Hardcore champ with a snide grin on her face, clearly meaning the words as a rib to Adrian...but still saying them with personal feeling that that was the truth...

Adrian's eye twitched when Navi mentioned almost beating the former cosplayer, "That's not how I remember it," She replied, pulling herself up haughtilly to meet Navi's eye. The brunette was not one to let any insult go unanswered. "I thought it ended with me stomping you."

Navi stopped and turned around, looking at the former cosplayer with surprise:

"I asked that during the match, you sure your hardcore reign didn't mess up your head or anything?"

Stepping towards Adrian, she would poke the taller woman with her finger to her chest: "I beat you the shit up outside the ring"

*poke*

"Then tried to get in"

"And, not content with losing, you pulled me back outside for a draw. Does that joggle your screwed up memory enough, "champ"?"

"Hey! Stopping people from getting back in is a legit strategy!" Adrian yelled defensively, swatting away the accusing finger as she marched right up to Navi "And besides, if you couldn't keep me down then you couldn't have beaten the anything out of me."

Getting more and more angry at the fact that Adrian was denying the clear (in her mind) conclusion in the match that would've happened had it not been for the ring out, Navi started to scream back at Adrian:

"Couldn't keep you down?! Bitch, please! Not only would've I kept you down, I would've made you tap out while you weeped as a baby if the count out wasn't there!"

"As if!" Adrian screamed back, before she pressed her forehead against the blonde's "You couldn't make a ten year old white belt tap out! Heck, go to any random dojo, take a video camera, and go record you getting your ass kicked by the schoolkids. Might be less humiliating than what I'd do to you if that match went on." the brunette challenged

As the brunette pressed her forehead against the slightly smaller blonde's, insulting and mocking her technical ability, Navi's fist would clench into a fist...

...before relaxing a second later, the blonde calming and composing herself:

"Stupid ideas aside, why don't we just have another match. To one up the last one, it would be a submission-based affair, so that we definitively know that I am better than you?", the blonde couldn't help but leave that last jab at the ex-champ within her sentence.

Huffing on the spot, Adrian kept glaring at the blonde even as she pulled away to lay her challenge down, "How about we do a submission match so that I can beat you at your own game instead?" she retorted with her hands on her hips and a small smile creeping onto her face as she pictured the image of a humbled Navi tapping out to her. "You know what? Let's do it before we go to Australia so you can have a nice vacation where it's sunny without having to worry about the ass-kicking coming your way."
