Tag Match: Kara and Vita vs Kyo and Makie

Kara manages to push Kyo off of her entirely as she throws herself backward. It actually worked out better than she had planned as she expected to just make him roll off. Instead she managed to flip him and get him on his back. Sensing an opportunity Kara will try to rush behind Kyo and as he tries to sit up wrap her arms around his neck in a rear naked choke hold. She won’t focus on trying to actually choke him, instead she will try and haul Kyo to his feet where she will try to push him towards the ropes to set up her actual attack.

Kyo was, admittedly, still a little surprised at being sent flying like that by Kara's kickout: he had thought he had the Cubana under control, but once again he had forgotten about her formidable strength. His upper back was a bit sore from the landing, and for a few seconds he was lying stunned on the mat, slowly and gingerly standing up.

Only, that was, for Kara's arms to wrap around his throat from behind. He gulped as his air was suddenly cut off, and rasped as he clasped at Kara's arms, trying to pry himself free. He found himself being dragged towards the ropes, thoroughly under Kara's control: if he managed it, he would try to reach one arm for the back of Kara's head and flip her over his shoulder, hoping to then get her in a rear naked choke in turn-- if Kara was ready for that, however, then he would be unable to stop her from taking him to the ropes...

Kara manages to get Kyo onto his feet and she gets ready to fling him towards the ropes. But just before she can set Kyo up he reaches up, grabs her by her head and flings her over his shoulder and onto the mat.

Kara lands on the mat with a loud thud and sends a lance of pain down her back. She has enough time to wonder what happened before Kyo gets behind her and traps her in his own choakhold. Unlike her hold Kyo is actually trying to put on the pressure. Kara manages to get her hand between Kyo’s arm and her throat so she won’t be immediately choked out but she can’t hold out forever.

From her corner Vita can see things are going rough for Kara. That said she isn’t really worried enough to try and jump in, not just yet. No instead Vita will keep to watching Makie incase she makes any moves to help her brother and cheer Kara on.

“Hey come on Kara! You can get out of that!”

Kyo took a deep breath as he managed to snapmare Kara over his shoulder onto her back. So far, so good-- whatever the Cubana had been up to, he was sure, he doubted it would have been good for him. In an instant, their positions were reversed-- now it was Kyo locking Kara in a rear naked choke, although Kara was quick enough to get an arm up to prevent him from closing the sleeper. Still, it felt good to be back in the driver's seat.

"I did say you improved, Kara-san," he said with a wry smile, "but I see you're still too slow for my counters." As he spoke, he would try to pull Kara up to her feet while squeezing her...before suddenly switching a grip to her arm and whipping her towards the ropes, hoping to run at her as she rebounded with a clothesline...that was, unless the Cubana had a counter of her own in store...

"Come on, Kyo, quit playing with her and win already!" Makie taunted, pouting. "Or at the very least, tag me in! Come on!"

While Kara normally would have made some counter remark to Kyo all that came out was a rough gurgle. When Kyo lifts her up and shoves her towards the ropes she realizes he is setting her up for the same move she was planning. He sends her running towards the ropes without much problem and Kara’s mind is racing to think of a counter.

As she rebounds off the ropes Kara tries to run faster because when you don’t have time to think her fall back is to beat him to the punch. She strikes out with a clothesline and runs into Kyo’s attack coming the other way, sending the two to the mat.


Kara will be stunned for a moment, but when she comes to she will try to roll away from Kyo, trying to get to the ropes to climb back up to her feet quicker.

Meanwhile outside the ring Vita is practically itching to get into the match and Makie’s taunts are egging her on. So when she sees Kara trying to crawl towards the ropes close to their corner she sees an opportunity. Vita will try to stand within arms reach of Kara as nonchalantly as possible, hoping no one else notices.

Kyo had figured that Kara must have been softened up a bit by that rear naked choke when he irish whipped her across the ring. Ideally, she would be woozy now, barely able to react in time as she bounced back into his clothesline. He was still thinking this as he ran at her, arm outrstretched...just in time to see her raise her arm as well.

The two of them collided hard in the centre of the ring with an almighty crash, the impact bowling sending the two of them slamming onto their backs simultaneously. Groaning, Kyo flopped over onto his side, stunned from that clothesline...slowly but surely getting to his knees. He was not aware, at that time, that Kara was already crawling to her corner to tag in Vita...

Kara actually didn’t notice that she had chosen the ropes closest to their corner. She had just needed the nearest ropes to get up quicker. In fact as she rises and notices that Kyo is getting up at the same time she can feel a smile coming on. Yea she shouldn’t be happy Kyo was already on his feet but she is reminded why she enjoyed their last bout. He has the same ability to get up after taking a beating, one of the few people she has come across that she can go all out on and know that she will still be tested. At least one of the few that she also respects.

So when she felt Vita’s hand tapping her shoulder her smile drops being replaced by a look of utter confusion. When she looks over her shoulder and realizes that Vita has tagged in her confusion turns to anger.

“W-what are you doing?!” Kara says fuming.

“You were taking too long,” Vita says with an impish smile as she slips between the ropes.

Kara starts to stand and goes to stop Vita but the referee steps in front of her and points to get out of the ring.

“Don’t worry I'll leave some for you,” Vita says over her shoulder before turning to face Kyo.

Kyo had just managed to get back to his feet, and was whirling around to face Kara...when he saw instead that Kara was sliding through the ropes, looking none too pleased about the fact as she did so. In her place, her tag partner...Vanessa? Vera? Vanda? Something beginning with a V...was sliding through the ropes in her place, smiling cockily.

In an instant, Kyo began hopping lightly on his feet as he eyed the new girl, who looked to be lighter and more agile than her tag partner. A part of him was disappointed that he couldn't tussle further with Kara. Another part of him knew that he should know better than to underestimate this new girl, though.

"That's very generous of you," Kyo said in reply to Vita's comment as he started to circle her. "Of course, you may have just bitten off more than you can chew." He waited for Vita to make the first move: he wanted to see what she was capable of.

The moment Vita gets into the ring she starts to bounce from one foot to the other, mimicking Kyo’s footwork. After Kyo speaks Vita takes a step forward and lowers her posture pulling her arms in like a boxer.

“Not likely,” she says just before she charges.

Vita sprints towards Kyo, and will make it look like she is trying to flank around his left. However, she will stop hard on her right foot close to Kyo and try to use her momentum to drive a knee into Kyo’s gut.

In an instant, Vita exploded into action after a few seconds of cockily eying Kyo, circling him like a boxer and lowering her body as though she was ready to lunge. The posture was enough to fool Kyo, for a few seconds at least...although he was expecting a feint. And so when Vita lunged at his left flank, he spun, thinking she was going to aim a punch for his right instead and shoot a knee into her midriff for her troubles.

He was not expecting her to do the kneeing instead. The blow exploded against his midsection, causing him to double over for a few seconds with a grunt. After he and Kara had simply traded back and forth holds and throws at the start of this match, Vita's knee was an unwelcome wake up call.
