Gaijin² V.s Momoka Le - Handicap Debut Match
Gaijin² V.s Momoka Le
Handicap Match - Victory by being the first to score a KO, Submission or Pinfall against the opposing team. (Gaijin² only need to score one to win)
- Momoko's Theme:
Momoka had to admit that Kyoto was pretty. Compared to her northern homelands the flash of the city and urban life was something new to Momoka. Unlike the rest of her family who had been out to cities like this around the world, Momoka had been confined to mostly her hometown and the surrounding Hokkaido areas. Despite wanting to spend her entire life exploring Kyoto, she didn’t really have time to. She came here for a job after all.
It might have taken a few more years than her older brothers, or her parents but Momoka had finally landed a prowrestling contract in the big leagues. Sure it wasn’t as prestigious as where her brothers had gone, but it was still a contract, and she could always make her way upwards. She had only been here for a week and she had already been informed of the date of her debut. In her excitement she had contacted her Family right away, on the spot. However when she found out what they had in store for her debut her heart sank. It would seem that the powers that be, wanted her to debut with a handicap match. Two people against her. Her mother had tried to lighten Momoka’s mood by saying that it was because her daughter was so good they needed two people to be a challenge. Though it was comforting to hear that, Momka knew it wasn’t the case.
The final couple of days leading to the fight, Momoka had been training in her new digs. Trying her best to ignore the handicapped part of the match. She only needed to get one of them down to win. So focusing on that, it was just like a singles match. At least there wasn’t a stipulation that allowed both of them to be in the ring at the same time. Then Momka would have been screwed. The intense training camp of sorts helped sort her head out, and as fight night dawned, Momoka was back in her swing again.
The key was to take it in your stride. Very few people debuted in Tension. Fewer still had a handicap debut. So at least she was starting her career with a bang. Backstage she had spent some time getting into her costume, which took a lot more work than people realised. Finally however she was ready, and just in time too, as she was called to go out. One final deep breath was all she could afford as her theme would start playing. Momoka would make her way onto the ramp, hands outstretched in the air. She was breathing it in, the crowd, all cheering, the lights, the noise. This is what she came for.
Finishing her descent down the ramp, Momoka sprinted the final few meters, across the mats and up the stairs, grabbing onto the ropes before giving everyone a wave. Sliding between them she took a moment to drink in the size of the ring, and the surrounding audience. Leaning against the turnbuckle Momoka would now wait, wait to see who this duo she was facing actually was. Hopefully it was two little Kawaii girls. That would be manageable.

Re: Gaijin² V.s Momoka Le - Handicap Debut Match
If there was one thing Leah loved to do, it was accessorize. Whatever money free money she had that didn’t go towards sweets or the crane games down at the arcade tended to be used on baubles and assorted costumes. Her wardrobe of lust with eccentric getups and oddities that had her jumping for joy any time she had a semi-justified reason to pull one out. Today, was one of those. While she had never met Momoka, she had asked around quite a bit about her, enough to know what to expect from the woman’s look and a small hint of her attitude from glimpses people had gotten of her around the arena. She was a ninja… or at least looked like one. That was not only awesome, but incredibly exciting. She had just the outfit for the occasion.
Neither Leah or Edgar were stoked to be involved in a handicap match. The blond girl had gone so far as to lament to a fellow wrestler, one she hadn’t known, in the back as she got suited up. It wasn’t exactly fair, two people against one. Not really her style, but at the end of the day she didn’t book these things. The hope was that this girl they were going up against was pretty amazing. She couldn’t help but have a few doubts and fears though. Felina, her new best friend, was pretty great and Edgar had taken her down handily on his own. She knew how to keep things friendly but her brother wasn’t really one to play nice with strangers.
Edgar in stark contrast to his sister has done no real preparations. Dressed in his usual street attire that doubled as his ring gear he waited patiently outside of gorilla position. While he had been waiting there primarily for his sister to hurry up, it had afforded him a brief bit of insight into his opponent. Leaned up against a few boxes of stage equipment, Momoka had unknowingly brushed right past him in the halls on her way to the stage. Had it not been for her bright garb, he might have missed her entirely due to a simple lack of interest.
While fleeting, he got to soak in a good look at her from behind, taking in the way she carried herself before she vanished from sight. From there his eyes lazily drifted to a nearby display screen just outside of his earshot, as he watched her entrance. She didn’t seem one for flare even with the flashy getup. Strange. He would have pegged her for a showoff for that alone. So far he had a decent track record when dealing with the more serious types here in Tension, they liked to think they were hot shit, before he caved their face in away.
“I’m here, I’m here!” Leah came running up the hall, huffing as she came to a stop beside Edgar, reaching up to set a hand on his shoulder for support while she caught her breath. His eyes were narrowed slightly, watching her with silent judgement she was all too familiar with. “What? Is there something on my face?”
“L… What are you wearing?” He breathed a small sigh of annoyance, reaching up to pluck her hand from his shoulder and drop it off to the side. She seemed ready for it, and steadied herself before fumbling forward would have been an issue.
“It’s my kunoichi outfit! It’s for theming purposes!” She stood herself up, bouncing a bit on her feet before striking a sudden pose one would normally associate with a ninja… at least in popular media’s depiction of one. “Better watch out, or I am going to nin all up in your business.” She furrowed her brow before whispering softly. “Did that sound dirty? I didn’t mean that to be dirty… sorry.”
Edgar slowly brought a hand to his face, dragging his palm up across his features until it slipped past his forehead, slicking back his hair. “Just… don’t say it again. Ever.” They hadn’t even gone out to the ring yet and already he was so done with her. He shot his sister a flat look as he pushed off the crates, watching her giving him one of her cutesy dopey grins. He tilted his head slightly, eyebrows arching as if to ask her what she was looking at without needing to use words.
“I know you wouldn’t dress up with me so… I brought you this instead.” Leah untucked a black bandana from the red cloth sash tied around her waist, giving her wrist a small flick to snap the cloth out. A jet black, depicting the a skull. She carefully folded it in half from corner to corner, reaching up to attempt to get closer to his face. While Edgar’s eyes narrowed, he seemed to let her work. Once she had secured the bandana over his face, it covered from part of his nose down past his chin, leaving the image of the skull’s jawline on the cloth lined up with his features. She was rather proud of herself. "Perfect."
“Done?” The bandana moved slightly as he spoke, the bottom point flapping gently from his breath. Leah nodded up at him, grinning from ear to ear. Compared to most things she tried to drag him into, this had been relatively tame so he would let it slide. With a curt nod, he lead them into gorilla position, waiting for their music.
There was no real initial reaction as their music hit. It was strange, new, unknown to those in attendance. While both the Shaw siblings had been seen in action, this was the first time Gaijin² had been in a match. As soon as Leah came cartwheeling out from behind the curtains however, the crowd erupted with a thunderous pop for the American sweetheart. She had become a incredibly fast rising fan favorite in her short time in Tension, displaying good sportsmanship, skill, and rubbing elbows with some notable talents in and out of the ring. She was a hot commodity as of late with her recent announcement with her inclusion to the upcoming Elimination Chamber as well. She was dressed different, though not too far off from her normal dark attire. A sleek black custom leotard accented with a bright crimson sash that floated behind her every moment adding a bit of flourish to even the mundane. She word a few bits of ornamental dress armor, not unlike the sort she donned when filling the role of The Oni Queen of Oju. She seemed to embrace the idea of being a a ninja, darting about the stage, striking poses one would likely see in cartoons and movies. Regardless of how historically accurate it may have been, the crowd was eating it up.
Edgar trudged out after Leah had her moment to shine. He hadn't expected much of a warm welcome, not after his dismantling of Felina in their last match had left people horrified. To his surprise, while there was a few smatterings of boos here and there, he was also was receiving a sizable amount of cheers. While he didn't seem to soak it in like his sister, it got at least the arching of one eyebrow as he made his way down along the ramp while his sister did the whole shebang of handing out high fives and hugs to fans along the barricade. While she continued to make her rounds along the ringside, he slowly walked his way up the metal steps at the corner of the ring, taking his spot on the apron. He didn't bother to get inside, as far as he was concerned this wasn't really a real match. It was just some girl that somehow drew an incredibly short straw in having to face the siblings together. He didn't even acknowledge her beyond a cursory glance, instead choosing to fold his arms over the top rope and lean with a yawn. Hopefully this would be quick.
With a few bounding hops along the outside once she had made a solid effort to hit up most of the fans at ringside, she slid herself beneath the bottom rope, hopping up briefly before taking a practiced tumble into the middle of the ring to strike another pose as if she were holding a katana horizontally in front of her eyes. She thought she looked pretty cool in the moment, and the fans were egging her on with hoots and cheers so it must back been okay. With a bright smile she sprang up, giving Momoka a quick look over with stars in her eyes. She LOVED this woman's outfit, almost immediately wanting it for herself. She was going to have to ask her for some fashion tips later after the match... She gave a small wave, backing herself up as she awaited the bell. While it hadn't been discussed who was going to start, Edgar hadn't protested in the least with her getting things rolling so she was ready to go.

Re: Gaijin² V.s Momoka Le - Handicap Debut Match
Momoka observed the duo as they made their way to the ring. It was at this point at some of her nerves started to bubble. There definitely seemed to be a disconnect between the two: One seemed to be full of energy, bouncing around the place, while the male seemed less interested in the fight at all. It seemed as if the female was fighting first, as she was the one to climb into the ring first.
Momoka observed her female opponent more carefully now she was actually in the ring. She seemed very energetic, more so than first impressions let on. She was also ruing to pull what Momoka could only imagine was some kind of shinobi pose. Now Momoka wasn't a kunoichi that was for sure. But these two didn't know that. Her mother had always taught her that If you dressed the part you played the part. So right now it was time to be an actress.
“What is this?” She called out, pointing to the costume she was wearing. “Are you trying to make a mockery of the Kunoichi!? A Gajin wearing the sacred Uniform. It is a disgrace! No matter…. I will make you pay for your insolence” She then drifts her finger up to the male behind the turnbuckle “and you… don't think that wearing a mask is going to be enough to hide your identity. You too will fall to me, The Kunoichi of Fate: Momoka Le!”
That wasn't a bad performance. At least the crowd enjoyed the theatrics, and the sound of taking the male down seemed to earn a few cheers. Though Promo was now over. It was now time to fight. Dropping into her stance, she waited for one of them to join her in the middle of the ring. There was no running back now. For better or for worse, Momoka was going to about to make her debut on Tension indent of a full arena audience and to a number of people watching around the world. A Number she couldn't quite want to bring herself around to estimate.

Re: Gaijin² V.s Momoka Le - Handicap Debut Match
Leah’s smile faded slightly as Momoka dug in with her words. Acting or not, it seemed rather convincing to the young American across the way who instantly was regretting her playful choice of costumes. Had she actually caused some manner of offense? She certainly hoped not. The girl stole a quick glance back to her brother who remained where he waited lazily against the ropes. He seemed unmoved by their opponents little speech… she wasn't sure if he had even been listening.
Taking in a deep breath through her nostrils she turned to face Momoka once more, puffing up slightly, standing as tall as she could manage. “It’s no mockery. They would.be honored to have me, regardless of where I come from.” She threw out an arm, pointing an unshaking finger across to Momoka. “The only thing fate has in store for you tonight is a crushing defeat! So ready yourself, we’ll see who among us is unworthy!” With a small upnod she threw the ball back into the brunette's court as the crowd began chanting for everyone involved.
Edgar had in fact been listening, rolling his eyes as well. This came across to him like one of those bullshit cries of cultural appropriation to him which instantly lost his interest. He caught Leah glancing his way, but made no move until her back was to him again. Once his sister had turned away, one arm straightened vertical to allow him to unfurl his middle finger in Momoka’s direction, letting is wave gently back and forth. He wasn't much a believer in fate either it seemed.
As Momoka readied herself, Leah made her way in to do the same. Lowered stance, legs separated and braced. Arms outstretched, fingers wiggling a bit as they were primed to intercept. The bell sounded, but she made no fast move to engage. Instead, a hand was brought high in silent offering to a test of strength. While she normally would have begun fast and furious with a lockup or a running assault, she had some added leeway to test the waters with Edgar at her back.
The two girls didn't look too dissimilar in their builds, and given their gimmick the blond assumed that unlike her, the woman she faced likely wasn't a full on grappler. Perhaps she could wittle her down early if she could.just overpower her here and now to gain control. “Let's see what you’ve got.”

Re: Gaijin² V.s Momoka Le - Handicap Debut Match
Momoka watched the blondes reaction to her words. It seemed her little acting trick seemed to get them riled up. Though the male’s reaction made her scowl in annoyance and a small amount of anger.
“Oh you think you can just give me the finger huh? Why don’t you get in here and try giving me that finger!” She proclaimed with her chest puffed out. “I will snap that finger off and break it you insolent brat!” With her words finished she turned her attention back to Leah. She was trying to goad Momka into a test of strength. While she wasn’t opposed to a test of strength or grapples in matches, when you were up against two opponents however, she couldn’t afford to lose and get smashed into a corner, essentially a corner where her partner lived.
Momka was about to start unleashing her Shinobi strikes and tear Leah a new one, at the last minute though, she decided to try and take up the offer for the lock up. Intertwining fingers, Momka began to push forward, pushing all of her energy into her calves, trying to push the woman into the corner where Edgar was living. Momoka should be loving this debut, but in the back of her mind, now that she saw the duo, something was gnawing at her mind again. Something about that blonde male made her feel nervous.

Re: Gaijin² V.s Momoka Le - Handicap Debut Match
Edgar tilted his head slightly, smirking beneath his mask. What a firecracker this one. With a arched eyebrow he chuckled faintly. “Want me to get in there and give you the finger?” He held up his hand, two fingers raised, curling them slowly, tauntingly. “Feisty. Sorry to disappoint, but we aren't having that sort of match. Maybe another time.” The pugilist gave the mouth of the mask a small tap, gesturing blowing her a mocking kiss from.across the way.
Leah cast a small look over her shoulder at Edgar, lips curled into a small disapproving look. She didn't have time to dwell on that however, she was the active wrestler and turning her back on Momoka likely wouldn't end well. There was a tense moment as she stared at the brunette, unsure if she was going to bite at the offer. As her opponent slipped her fingers between her own, a wide grin worked its way across her face. The excitement was visibly pouring out of her as she worked her palms into the kunoichi’s.
Momoka was able to push Leah back at first, the blond had waited a bit too long to apply her own momentum in her attempt to give them a fair start. She would need to work on that in the future. Her heels dug in, turning her backpedal into a solid wall of resistance. Her arms strained as she struggled to hold her opponent at bay. She wrenched at the brunette's wrists, attempting to apply a bit of added leverage to make up for her loss of ground.
“Gosh… you’re pretty strong, huh?” Leah huffed softly, clearly impressed. That wouldn't stop her from attempting to overpower the other woman though as she tried to force Momoka down to her knees with all she could manage. No matter how much things waxed or waned from her favor, she seemed intent on not breaking the hold until one of them had been brought to the floor or the ropes.

Re: Gaijin² V.s Momoka Le - Handicap Debut Match
It seemed the male was going to be a bastard all the way through, Alright. Momoka could deal with that, just needed to give it time. She would wipe that smug little smirk from under that mask. She couldn’t see it, but she knew it was there. She was actually looking forward to the moment she could clobber his face in.
Momoka pushed and pushed, and it was going well for her. Leah was falling back and it looked like Momoka was going to win. Seems like having to do to lock up training with her brothers for all those years was finally starting to pay off. Then Leah started trying, and the push ground to a halt, suddenly Momoka was struggling to maintain her position, her body bending backwards as it looked like she was about to fall onto her knees and yield the lockup.
Normally at this point, Momoka would release the hold and go in for some classic strikes. And Leah did look like she would be caught off guard, and with strikes like hers, she could even get her into the corner. But it didn’t feel right. It was strange. Normally she had no issue doing it, but against Leah, in a match like this, she seemed to want to play fair even when the odds were stacked against her.
So there she stood, fighting back against Leah’s lockup, delving deep into her stored energy to push back and get back on her feet proper, Momoka knew how to be a powerhouse at times, it just took alot of energy to do so, and if it meant winning this lockup, then Momoka was willing to expend it. Pushing back harder and harder, Momka started to let out yells of frustration, that only released more adrenaline, which fuelled her to go further and further.

Re: Gaijin² V.s Momoka Le - Handicap Debut Match
Edgar watched from the sidelines with a lazy confidence. Did he believe his sister was a better wrestler than this other chick? He had no real idea. The fact she was against them both, him especially, felt like a one way ticket to a loss for this lady’s debut. It didn't matter where she tried to submit or pin Leah, he would be on this woman in an instant. Unlike his sibling, he cared very little for what constitutes fair and honorable play. If he could get away with it, that was fine. He had every intention to taking every double team opportunity and pot shot he could on this girl until he got his chance in the ring with her… then it would be good night ninja princess for good.
Leah was locked up with Momoka in a rather epic struggle. Nothing really forced the two women to remain like this, it would be easier to slip in a kick or twist into a hold. They both seemed committed to see this through regardless of how taxing it became. Leah had lost ground on the initial push, but had quickly made it back as Momoka was slowly being bent against the grain, possibly to the point of breaking. The blond knockoff ninja’s body was tense and shaking, face screwed into a look of focus so intense her to guess poked slightly out from the corner of her mouth. It seemed as though she had this first exchange in the bag…
That was until Momoka found a well of energy deep down and started to pull from it. Not only had the other woman pulled herself back up, but had begun to force Leah back. Her muscles strained, a small stressed whine sound escaping her as she fumbled with her footing. Her heels dug in, but even then they were being pushed along the canvas. It was slow at first, but as Momoka built up momentum it was hard to stop. In no time she was driven back, slammed into the turnbuckles with a surprised cry of pain.
Edgar watched quietly as Leah was driven into the corner. He hadn't so much as moved his head, just following along with his eyes. The both of them were on his end of the ring. For now he remained put, seeing just how aware Momoka was that this wasn't a very great place for her to be. If she didn't seem aware, he was about to show her exactly why that was.

Re: Gaijin² V.s Momoka Le - Handicap Debut Match
Momoka was certainly giving it her all. She was putting as much energy as she could muster into making sure that Leah was going into the turnbuckle, whether she wanted to or not. In a singles match she would have minded so much, but when she was being outnumbered, she couldn't afford to show weakness to either of her opponents. They had twice the strength and twice the stamina when combined and if was nothing short of a David versus Goliath battle that Momoka had been thrown into. That kind of pressure was certainly enough to rattle the woman's nerves. She wasn't as good at wrestling as her parents, or her brother. Perhaps this was bitting off way more than she could chew?
Either way, Momoka had managed to pull off what she had wanted, moving the twin wrestler into her own corner. In reality, it would have been perhaps better to pick a neutral corner, as she now has bother her opponents Inna dangerously close position. As she closed those final few inches, Momoka put more strength into her push to essentially shove Leah into the turnbuckle. After all the energy that Momoka had expended to get this far, she needed to make sure that Leah was in some kind of pain. Momoka then unlinked her hands with Leah's, leaving the woman to her own devices in the corner.
Momoka had little issue with taking down Leah. She believed that if it was a one on one matchup, Momoka would be able to edge out a comfortable victory. It was her brother that was causing her concern. She didn't know what his strength and limits were, something that meant he was a bit of a loose cannon. She knew that being this close to the duo could set her up for danger, but she had to take every chance she got. Taking a couple of steps backwards, giving herself some clearance, Momoka would then charge back towards her trapped foe with some speed. When she was close enough she would jump up and throw her arms out to her sides as if she as trying to starfish in the air. It looked strange, and it was most certainly and untested move, but, if it worked Momoka would splash her body into Leah, who was trapped, and her outstretched arm would clothesline Edgar and force him off the ring. If it didn't work... Yeah. Momoka may have just trapped herself in a situation she may end up living to regret.

"Ugh!" Leah's head whipped back as he collided with the turnbuckles, boot soles squeaking as they slipped on the canvas. Her body eased back into the ropes, naturally slumping down as her weight leaned back. It had been jarring, but far from debilitating. Hooking her arms over the top rope, she started to shimmy her way back up to standing when she felt something lightly tap her on the shoulder. Blinking she glanced up to see Edgar withdrawing a hand after subtly making the tag. She gave him a slightly befuddled look, questioning why he'd done that… and her brother just casually clicked a finger to the side, pointing towards the ring. Leah turned to see what he was motioning towards and got a face full of Momoka soaring right at her. She flinched before the impact, letting out a grunt as she was smashed into the corner.
Edgar hadn't been caught off guard, once he had made the tag his focus hadn't left the match. Unlike Leah who was a true blue rookie when it came to competitive combat sports, he had been tested and honed to the point he didn't tend to make simple mistakes like turning his back to a fight even if it wasn't his turn. It helped that he had an itch to feed this weeb piece of trash his fist the first chance he could get. So when she came charging into the corner, the blond boxer had clasp on firmly to the ropes and leaned himself back on the apron, leaving the two plenty of room and preemptively taking himself out of arms reach. The good practice of better safe than sorry paid off as he was free and clear as her arm swung wide and breezed past him. Leah was left to unfortunately take the brunt but hopefully she would learn from this once she had time to think on it. He sure as shit was going to remind her.
As Momoka pressed his sister flat, her shimmering brunette hair caught his eye, fluttering behind her as her momentum carried her. With the corner of his lips tucking into a smirk, he threw his weight forward into the ropes, grabbing out to snatch a handful of that lovely hair of hers. Before the ninja had even fully rebounded off his sister, Edgar was forcefully yanking at her, trying to drag her to him and pull her back to the ropes. If he got her this far, he would crank her neck hair, using the top rope as a leverage point to keep her held tight. Reading back, his arm went wide, snapping up and over the rope to come down over Momoka's shoulder to try and club her right in the chest. If one landed, he wouldn't stop there, tugging at her hair and swinging wild hard blows down at her over the protests of the referee.
When all was said and done, he would relent before inviting a disqualification at the count of the referee, instead choosing to give the brunette and forceful shove in an attempt to knock her to the mat while he leisurely slipped between the ropes to become the legal man. "Take a break L, watch and learn." He muttered to his sister who still hung wincing and injured in the corner. With a sorrowful nod she would take his words to heart and climb out onto the apron.
