Re: Talk With Me
As distressing as all this was - and it was, more than Blossom wanted Death Bunny to ever know - there was a great relief, here, too. While she’d told her mother little and less about their relationship, the one thing she’d seen fit to tell Blossom, above all else, was to be honest and open in whatever she was doing. If this was going to work in the insane environment of the AFW, the two of them had to build on something solid and unbreakable...or as close to it as they could ever hope. This was definitely a step in that good direction. Whatever else happened, they could say that much.
As Death Bunny spoke, Blossom listened. She would take the occasional moment to nibble away on her food, not wanting it to get too cold before it all went down to her stomach, but for the bulk it was eyes forward, her up, focus centered. She listened and she watched, cataloguing every grimace on her lover’s face, doing her best to share in it.
That was what you did in a relationship, right? You shared.
”No, no, it’s okay.” Blossom only piped in at the end, when Death Bunny talked about making excuses. She hadn’t seen them that way, not at all. Her girlfriend was laying herself bare, and she wasn’t about to ignore that. ”I know it doesn’t come easy for you, being...not that. I get it.” She winced at the mere memory of it. Blossom watched every Death Bunny match she could get a hold on with religious fervor, but that didn’t mean they were easy sits. Just being in the AFW helped inoculate her to that sort of thing, but watching it happen with someone she cared about…
She went quite for a moment, mulling, considering, thinking. ”There’s no easy answer, is there?” Blossom looked up with half a laugh and a weak smile. The best she could do, for now. ”I won’t lie, I don’t like that other side of you too much. But at the same time, I want you to be happy. I want you to be successful. I want you to get what you want in life. I just want to be a part of it, is all.”
She shrugged, wishing she had the depth to figure out an easy solution to this. It just was not coming to her, though. ”Do you think you could ever find some way to balance it?”

Re: Talk With Me
All this soul-searching and introspective analysis...D.B. felt like she should be sprawled out on a leather couch with Blossom dressed in a suit and scribbling notes into her clipboard. She didn't remember the last time she spoke so candidly about herself for so long a period of time...but the truth needed to have it's time in the sun. Whether it would bloom in the daylight or shrivel up under the oppressive sunlight had yet to be determined though. D.B. knew jack-all about relationships, but she did know that she trusted Blossom with all of her heart...and cared for her too deeply to keep her in the dark anymore.
D.B. turned her head to face Blossom after asking her about balancing it all. After all D.B. had said...Blossom still prioritized her lover's happiness over all else. All that caring affection...and here D.B. was causing her so much stress and anxiety over this entire mess. It was becoming that much more difficult in restraining D.B. from simply walking over there and hugging her lover tightly with only muttered apologies to explain herself. But she stayed strong. Vigilant. Hands folded while she glanced down at the floor with half-lidded eyes in her own moment of thought...despite how badly she was being torn up inside over all of this. She had been telling the truth up till now...and she wasn't going to be changing that up anytime soon.
"...no. I probably won't be able to balance it for too long......on my own." D.B. pushed herself off of her knees so she was standing and walked around the table over to Blossom, than turning the chair to face the bunny girl before she got down to both knees. Her hands gliding up the sides of Bloss' thighs as high as they could for a tender grasp as she looked her lover in her emerald eyes. "Now...I won't lie. The bigger my name becomes around here...the more the company is going to start placing me in more...elaborate, matches. I'll probably be tussling with the guys soon in cross-promotional events...and...haveta learn how to fight in the confines of an apartment bedroom...and, I might fall off the wagon here and there." D.B. solemnly averted her eyes to the floor at the idea of what the future had in store for her...before turning back to face Blossom with the wrestling equivalent of Halley's comet....a genuine smile on D.B.'s face.
"And this is why...if you ever see me losing myself, or on the brink of going down a road I can't come back from...I give you express permission...to wallop me in the face with as hard a right hook as you got and knock me back to my senses. Because I would have lost sight about what truly...truly makes me happy...and that's the scruffy-haired women I see smiling back at me every-time I walk through that door." D.B. uttered with a tenderness to her voice that could only come from words from the heart."You're already a part of this, Blossom. I couldn't have done any of this without you. Every time I leave the arena, no matter what sick shit went down that night...all I think about is coming home to you...and that makes it all worth it. So...whaddya say we just take this one day at a time?...just you and me."

Re: Talk With Me
This was good. Blossom liked this.
Sure, the situation was uncomfortable and weird and the awkwardness was so thick you could cut it out of the air with a steak knife, but given the subject, it sort of had to be. This wasn’t easy for Death Bunny, she could tell, but her lover was powering through it for her. For them. She needed that. Appreciated it.
She was a wee bit surprised when Death Bunny stood up and approached her, rounding the table with uncertain steps. Blossom was wheeled about in the chair to face her, and when her girlfriend dropped to her knees, her heart skipped several beats. Eyes widened. Mouth gaped. For a moment, a fleeting, wonderful moment, Blossom thought that Death Bunny was about to pop the question. Way, way sooner than she’d been expecting, but she knew what her answer would be if that were the case…
...which is wasn’t. Drat.
Still, what Death Bunny had to say did bring a smile to her face, and filled with all the warm fuzzies. For someone who said she wasn’t down with all the girlfriend stuff and hadn’t been smoshy before, she had a surprising talent for it. When she spoke, Blossom hung on and believed every single word that came from her lips. No deception. Nothing held back.
”Well, I don’t know about punches. Not good with those. But I can do a mean suplex.” She gave Death Bunny a playful tap on the forehead, before leaning in and whispering in her lover’s fluffy ears. ”And I can help you get ready for the apartment matches, at least.”
Blossom gave her a quick lick on the cheek, then moved back with a sigh and a smile. ”But yeah. You and me. Together. Always.”

Re: Talk With Me
D.B. wasn't sure what it was, but she noticed that whenever she went down to one knee to address her lover while looking up or wanted to surprise her with something, Blossom tended to look like she was having some type of anxiety attack. Like she was always expecting something different in some type of hyped up anticipation. She always wondered what Blossom was thinking about during those times. Maybe later on she could ask her lover what always went through her mind...but for now, they needed to settle everything that had been bothering them that night since there was more at risk than just their dinners getting cold.
D.B. hoped she worded everything alright. Her emotions were kind of all over the place tonight, but that's why she knew her idea could work. She trusted Blossom with her life...and now she trusted her to keep her in check should her emotions get the better of her. D.B.'s demons led her down the wrong path once, and the possibility of it happening was very real. But not if she accepted help from her flowery lover whose always had her back. D.B. flashed a blushing smile from all of Blossom's adorable mannerisms, trying to act all innocent...she knew Bunny finds that side to her absolutely sexy as all hell.
"Suplex it is than~...But as for practicing for those apartment matches, I say why wait. It'd help us burn off that meal. too..." D.B. gently uttered practically into Blossom's lips while pressing their foreheads together. The grip on Blossom's thighs being just what D.B. needed to haul her emerald-eyed lover out of that chair and proceed to carry her flowery companion out of the dining room and down the hallway to their spacious bedroom. She couldn't have felt luckier than to have this moment in her life...
"But what is it with us and heartfelt confessions over dinner? It's kinda becoming our thing..."

Re: Talk With Me
There were times where it was hard to believe that Death Bunny had never been in relationship like theirs before. For all her protests, she seemed to be real good at it. At least, from where Blossom was sitting. Did she know how warm she made Blossom feel, looking at her with so much affection? Did she know how good it was to have those strong arms around her? Did she know how amazing it was that Death Bunny could be such a terror to the AFW, someone who sent their peers running, but be so kind when she came home?
It made Blossom feel special, like she was the only other woman who lived in this little world they were building, and it was a part - a big part - of why she loved Death Bunny.
Now, if only she’d put a ring around it…
Blossom suppressed her fantasies for the moment and cuddled up with Death Bunny as she lifted her up and carried her on. She giggled at her girlfriend’s observation, and leaned forward to give her a few pecks on the neck, giggling under her ear. ”I’m not complaining. You make an awesome desert.”
Too corny? Maybe too corny, but she didn’t much care.
