Janis is a 25-year old tan-skinned girl from Pretoria, South Africa, who used to be a part of a gang called "Blood Gear" when she was 20 years old. The gang consists of corrupt mechanics and construction workers, delinquents, female thugs as well as bikers and operates on a decrepit junkyard in Yokohama. Janis was used to be one of Blood Gear's elite henchwomen, and one of Kurosawa's loyal workers. She spent her life robbing banks, fighting against police forces and trafficking drugs. She had many friends there and respected by other Blood Gear members, until a young agent from the JSDF infiltrated the Blood Gear's HQ. Janis fought hard against the agent with her street fighting skills and her trusty spanner, however she's still no match for the agent's tranquilizer handgun, which knocked her out. After 5 years spending her time behind the metal bars, Janis decides to pursue a wrestling career in AFW after involved in many prison fights against other female during her time in jail and reading an advertisement in a newspaper. At one time, Janis took out a much stronger convict who used a chain as her weapon. Her personality changed as well during imprisonment, from a silent yet loyal girl to a shrewd and sadistic girl. She sometimes gets raped by other inmates as well during shower, which explains her nymphomaniac traits
