Hi hi~

So ima new and just had a single important question to ask before I attempt to create a character! Since there are probably a lot of characters existing here, what is the ruling on characters that share similar appearances i.e images of the same character, being the same image, or a different image just a similar character? If it's forbidden, is there a time lapse in where one persons inactivity opens up the gate way for said character to be used should it ever become a problem? I saw the "week of inactivity" in the general rules but that seemed to only apply to people without finished profiles.

Generally speaking, you should try not to choose exactly the same pictures as a preexisting character on the site, especially an active one. Using different pictures of the same anime character can be okay, but it's best to check with whatever member has a profile based on that character first. Best thing to do is ask a staff member if you're unsure.

Thank you~ I haven't yet seen anyone with the particular character or image I want to use yet but I am sure all ends will be checked when I actually post the character and it's checked.

You can always post the picture in the first thread I linked if you're uncertain.

I am so glad that I was already here before that policy was introduced. I have very few taste in how to find good pictures and only know the most basic animes anyway.
