Josey Wales vs. Athena Wonder

Josey played a lonely song on her harmonica. She was not that lonely, of course. The Outlaw had a tendency to be alone when she wanted to be alone, and that was usually because she would knock someone out if they talked too much. She was leaning back in her chair in her dressing room. The cowgirl had her usual white and red outfit on, and was just wasting away the minutes before whatever worker bee flew on in here and called her off to fight.

The Outlaw hit a low note and rocked forward. She was not really sure who this woman was, other than the fact that she was downright huge. She closed her red eyes, and breathed in before starting her mournful tune anew. Josey was a fairly large woman herself. And nasty, and brutal, and easily the most violent person around, by a long shot. Her red eyes opened again, and the wailing of the harmonica picked up in pace. It was the long whistle of a train, going off the rails, and causing untold destruction to whatever two horse town the tracks happened to run through.

Someone said it was go time, so Josey went. She got up and stormed towards the entrance of the arena, her white cape billowing behind her. Her red eyes stayed concentrated on what was ahead of her, and she did not lose focus for even a second. Nothing else interested her other than the prospect of ripping this woman apart.

Her music wailed over the loudspeaker, heralding her entrance. The crowd was doing something, but Josey did not distinguish anything that they were saying or doing or anything, really. She marched down to the squared circle and slid in under the bottom rope. The Outlaw threw off her cape with a flourish, before she sunk into her corner. When the cowgirl jerked her neck to the left and right, and cracking sound erupted, one similar to when she forced her fingers back with her fists. Josey leaned back against the ropes, showing off her large and powerful frame.

She was ready.

Athena Wonder had slowly built up her momentum here in AFW, winning a couple of matches. Despite being a veteran in this industry, her winning those matches showed to everyone that she's still got it. Already donning her red-and-gold superheroine-esque spandex leotard, the Eighth Wonder was prepared to make her entrance. From the sound of it, her opponent had already made her entrance, so it's about time for her to do hers.

A heroic, patriotic-sounding song heralded the appearance of Athena, greeted by the adoring cheers from the fans. Standing tall like a superheroine that she envisioned herself to be, she posed and flexed her arms in front of the crowd, showing off her Amazonian, powerfully-built figure before she took powerful steps down the ramp, heading over to the ring. Her eyes were focused on her opponent for this match, an outlaw-themed wrestler named Josey Wales. She might have heard that name in passing before, but overall, Athena had no preexisting opinion about this woman. All she needed to know about this woman would come from their match that would start shortly after this.

Athena Wonder:

From the look of it, this Josey was slightly, perhaps a few inches, taller than her. But Athena paid it no mind, because what was important was one's skill, not one's height and weight. Once she was finally in the ring, Athena climbed up a turnbuckle, each foot on the bottom rope, raising her arms up to rouse her fans. And right after that, she got off the turnbuckle and directed her gaze at Josey.

Taking off her blue cape, she spoke to Josey, "So, think you have what it takes to beat me?" The Eighth Wonder might come off as a bit arrogant from her tone, but being a veteran in this industry, she simply couldn't help herself.

Everything about this woman irked Josey. Her look, her music, how she carried herself. Back on the Texas plain, she knew thousands of punk cowboys just like her, who thought they were strong and mighty and better than everyone else. They weren't. Josey did not know what she was, but she was damn sure of what this woman, and all those other pricks, weren't. It appeared as if the Outlaw was going to have to give out a fairly harsh lesson this evening, but it was not something that she minded. Not one bit.

Josey pushed herself out of the corner, and took a few steps towards the woman. She was big, but Josey was bigger. Her fists were balled, and her stance widened. Josey was preparing herself to throw a punch at any moment, and she did not particularly mind if Athena was aware of this fact. Upon hearing Athena's words, she turned her head to the side and spat. "Gonna rip your head off." Josey's voice was a low gutteral thing. Though it was distinctly Southern, it lacked the charm of a Southern belle.

The cowgirl breathed in. It was nearly time to go. Every inch of Josey's body was primed and ready to punch this woman's head clean off her shoulders. As little as she cared, she felt their excitement. Her heart beat a little bit quicker, and her red eyes narrowed. She desperately wanted to be the one who made the first move.

Athena raised one eyebrow as Josey made her way closer to her and uttered those words before she grinned, as if challenging her to do just that. "You're not the first one trying to do that, kiddo. Do try to not disappoint me..." The Eighth Wonder cracked her knuckles, clearly prepared to clash with the cowgirl.

The referee made sure that both wrestlers were prepared before she called for the bell, starting the match. Athena was already primed to engage the cowgirl in the fight, and the moment the bell was rung, she would rush over to her, arms held out in her attempt to lock up with Josey, mustering her effort to overpower her in this contest of strength.

"Haarghhh!!" Athena yelled, muscles bulging under the strain, and considering how form-fitting, skintight her superheroine-esque attire was, the people would clearly see her muscles rippling with power as she tried to push the cowgirl back.

Josey felt the woman come at her. Her hands quickly rose to meet the woman, and Josey tasted her strength for the first time. This blonde woman's audacity had solid reasoning behind it, because Athena had the raw strength that all true fighters needed. Josey grunted as she lost ground initially. She was prepared to knock some sense into Athena, but she had to make it through this first. It was quite the task.

But Josey was quite a powerful woman. She surged forward. The Outlaw had earned her muscles throwing hay around back on the farm, and she had kept that might on. The cowgirl was nothing short of furious. In her black rage, she brought her formidable strength to bear against her blonde opponent, and held nothing back. The excess of force use had no limit. It was plain to see that the Texan girl would stop at nothing against an opponent such as Athena Wonder.

Athena could feel Josey's push matching hers, locking them up in a stalemate. The Eighth Wonder was honestly impressed by the cowgirl's strength. But, with them locked up like this, there would be no progress, and Athena decided to do something in order to change this.

She would try to use her leg to sweep Josey's legs, hoping that could make her lose her balance, thus allowing her to topple her down. Letting out a mighty yell, Athena would push forward right after performing the leg sweep on Josey, hoping that her attempt to make her lose her balance succeeded, thus allowing her to push her down onto the mat, which would certainly allow her to follow up with a move to deal some damage on the cowgirl!

Josey was looking straight at Athena. She was summoning her strength and her black rage forward, and glaring into the eyes of Athena with the burning hatred of a thousand suns. The Outlaw was looking to overpower this woman. No other thought even crossed her mind. She lacked all of the misconceptions about honor and justice that would have propelled a normal woman into pushing and pushing. No, this was about setting the tone. This was about not letting Athena even get the inkling that this whateverth wonder of the world was better than her.

The cowgirl did not see the trip coming. When her legs were swept, she plummeted down to the earth, her mouth open in shock. This was a little bit dirty, and usually it was her doing the dirty moves. She clung to Athena by her hands even as she fell, and she broke eye contact with her fellow blonde.

When she finally hit the mat, she winced. It was not good to take the first blow of the match, but there was little that Josey could do about it now. The Outlaw finally unlatched when she was completely laid out.

People might consider a leg sweep to be a cheap move, but as a veteran, Athena had learned how to be pragmatic, pushing the bounds of the rules if she had to. Right after bringing Josey to the mat, Athena would then bend down, grabbing the cowgirl by her head to pull her up, getting her back on her feet so that the Eighth Wonder could continue dealing more damage on her.

After doing that, Athena would then try to put Josey in a side headlock, wrapping her arm around the cowgirl's head as she would press that face of hers against the side of her huge breast. "Ready to get schooled, kid?" Athena said to Josey, adjusting her footing to prepare herself to use a move on her.

Josey was grabbed faster than she could react. She was brought to her feet and then tucked against that massive chest of Athena's. It would have been altogether pleasant in a different time and in a different place, but Josey was not anywhere other than in the center of the ring, with a large and powerful woman. The Outlaw was within another's grasp. As a free and proud spirit, that was always the absolute last place that she wanted to be.

So Josey resolved to be free. She sent a few harsh punches into Athena's back. The Outlaw recognized that a kidney shot was not only going to get her out of this, it stood a chance of seriously harming Athena. And besides, she was not shy about throwing punch after punch to make sure she found it...

Athena had put Josey in a side headlock, and was planning to bring the cowgirl down with a bulldog. She needed to weaken her even further to make it easier to put her down, but before she could even do that, Josey sent a couple of punches right into Athena's back, and she winced upon taking the hits. "Urgh!! Ngh!!" Due to this, her hold around Josey's head was loosened, and she had no choice but to abandon her plan to use bulldog on her.

In retaliation, Athena would let go of Josey's head before attempting to smash her forearm into the back of her head, hoping that it could send her down sprawling on the mat. If she really wanted to play rough, a rough play she'd get!
