Personality: Affectionate. There are very few things she dislikes about human contact, to the point she seeks it out most everywhere. Unabashedly flirtatious, she has no issues with outright expressing her wants even in more civil company. Past/History: Tradition wasn't just part of her world, it was her world. Raised far from the bustling cities of Japan in a small village, the mysticism of the miko was still a role of reverence. Raised outside of the traditional school system, her education revolved mostly around duties to the shrine her people tended, sacred rituals, martial arts, and alternative medicine. She was a dutiful daughter, adhering to all the teachings laid before her. Long extensive ceremonies, intricate steps for even the simplest of tasks within her daily life, and a strict schedule which allowed little time for her to pursue her own passions. She was considered to be one of the most dutiful, promising miko in their entire village. Adept in nearly every field she had been introduced to. While she performed the tasks she was given, she secretly grew to despise the her ridged upbringing.

The tutelage she received in the field of medicine was her greatest boon. Acupuncture, chief among them, was a large influence in her interest and love in the physiology of the human body. She took a keen interest in what made the body tick, and how it reacted to sensations both good and bad. Herbal medicines allowed her freedom. Under the guise of studying and collecting from the wilderness, she was able to squire away long hours to do as she pleased, free from the scrutiny of her peers and betters.  It was here she began to hone her own fighting techniques, based on the teachings found within Tenshin Shōden Katori Shintō-ryū which was taught within her shrine. Jujutsu and to a lesser extent battōjutsu were her focus, despite the two styles clashing fundamentally. She wished to apply her knowledge of medicine to her strikes to allow for more efficient means to end conflict. When she felt it was ready, she made use of it during a sparring session to great success, and a loud outcry for the bastardization of the practice of strictly the traditional aspects of the martial art.

Her creativity stifled, her resentment grew as time passed on. When given the opportunity years later to be part of a small pilgrimage to other Shinto shrines, she jumped at the chance to leave her home. In their travels they stayed in many locations throughout Japan, many of which allowed her a glimpse into what modern culture had to offer... and she loved it. Before their journey could be completed, she abandoned her miko sisters to start a life for herself, doing whatever, whenever she wanted. No longer tied down to a strict set of rules, she cut loose to the point of excess. Wild and free, she holds little to no shame over casting aside what once was her life, to forge her own path by indulging in all things beautiful

Hurts so Good: Kura is a bit of a masochist, enjoying when an opponent can manhandle her in the ring. She has a tendency to purposely allow her foes to get in strikes on her or wrap her into painful holds just to derive her own sexual pleasure from the experience.

Broken vows: While Kura keeps to some old traditions, such as purity rites and her martial training, her abandonment of her people and miko duties keep her far from visiting any Shinto shrines throughout Japan.

Cleanliness is next to godliness: Kura will almost always perform a ritual of purity on herself following her matches, to absolve her of the acts which were committed. She can sometimes be difficult to find outside of her matches as a result.
