Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda - Second Impressions
Blue Thunder Mask had, in the past few minutes since this match started, worked here over across the ring, harder than just about any man ever had. He’d gotten her into submission holds, three times no less, and worn her away with them. Knocked out of ring, kicked her like a soccer ball, bounced her back and forth.
She’d taken all of that, every bit, in stride. Just the same shit that was supposed to come with every match. Blue Thunder Mask could bring the goods better than most, she’d admit that much.
But then he had to go and give her this bullshit.
”A thug? Fucker, this isn’t Edo and you’re not a goddamn samurai. Leave the honor shit at home.” She threw her hands up. ’There’s no spirit to preserve, that crap’s as dated as your silly-ass mask. You’re what a wrestler was. I’m what a wrestler is. You’re the one out of place. And if you’re dumbass can’t get that through your head…”
Makoto charged in hard with her arm cocked back, throwing a right cross at Makio’s chest.
”...I’ll hammer IT in!”

Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda - Second Impressions
In that moment he saw Makoto opposite him. Two sides of a coin. She wasn't wrong per se, the bygone days were behind them. People like him, were dated, while places like the AFW provided a platform for every tough man or woman who stepped through that door regardless of how much wrestling they actually brought to the ring. Makoto stood for a future without order, without boundaries, a swirling pit of chaos. Was that what wrestling was now?
Not if he had anything to say about it.
The words she used to try to cut him down had done the opposite, they lit a fire in the pit of his stomach, a fire that swelled uncontrollably to consume him from within. His body moved before he had even realized it, slipping to the side, leaning back as Makoto's cross flew past missing it's mark. His hand snapped out as he turned, trying to catch hold of her wrist and yank her forward off balance as he threw his back towards her. Arms raised he'd bring her own arm down on his shoulder and pull, kicking his weight forward and hips back into her to attempt to judo flip Makoto to the canvas, letting her fly free and clear from him as he had turned completely.
"As long as I still draw breath, I will stand for what I feel a wrestler should be. Maybe I'm living in the past, sure... I won't make excuses for who I am and what I believe in. Seems to me, between the two of us, you're the one here with something to prove." He threw up a fist, shouting into the open arena. "TOKYO! I AM WITH YOU!"
"THUN---DER THUN---DUER... MAAAAAAAAAAASK!"
He held out his arms to the roaring crowd as he stared Makoto down. "They remember. I -am- the spirit of wrestling. And the past is here to haunt you, Makoto."

Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda - Second Impressions
- Spoiler:
- Young Tatsumi Arima had just turned nine years old.
What normally would be a day of celebration was lost on him. This day, just like the eight others that had come before it, would be one more reminder of her mother’s passing. He was too young to remember her face. Too little to even be aware of it. But when he finally did, his expression never changed. A shadow clutched his heart, leaving his eyes dim and his face hollow. It seemed like nothing could snap him out of it.
That was until he discovered wrestling. Then AFW. The high-flying characters, the captivating personalities, like real-life superheroes. For the past year, Tatsumi would hour after hour, night after night, watching his favorite wrestlers fly across the ring. It was on this day, then, that his dad surprised them with a pair of tickets. Front row. In the Tension arena. He was too young to see over the barricade, and instead rested on his dad’s shoulders from the moment the bell rang. The whole night, only two words had ever escaped his lips.
“So..cool.”
Blue Thunder Mask. Every time he moved, Tatsumi’s jaw hung open. Starstruck by the majestic figure that had come to dominate the ring. The other person was strong, but it was like it didn’t matter to him. No matter how hard he got beaten down, he just got right back up! It was like nothing could really hurt him. Not even her words. How could he keep going? He was unbreakable. No, it was more than that. He was...
I won't make excuses for who I am and what I believe in...I- am- the spirit of wrestling.
Tatsumi’s little heart pounded, and, tucking in one mighty breath...
“Go Hero Mask!” He shouted. “You can do it! You’re the greatest!”
The crowd shouted right along with him, giving the masked wrestler all the support they could muster. Tatsumi’s father couldn’t even draw his eyes to the ring. His eyes only looked up at his son and the laughter bellowing forth. Just how long had it been? And, with a slight grin, his gaze softened as he turned his head back to the ring, and the blue-haired hero shining at its center.
Can you see it, Ayame? He thought to himself. Your son...is really smiling.

Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda - Second Impressions
Stone had seen Makoto mad before. Quite often, actually. In fact, One could say she had ‘barely simmering rage’, as her default emotion, and anything above or below that was outside the norm.
But she has never seen her show this much rage before. As Blue Thunder Mask spike, she stood there with tightened fists, her face growing redder with each sentence. She was quaking, shivering, looking ready to explode, and Stone knew the only question was how long it would take.
The answer: about five seconds after Blue Thunder Mask finished talking.
”-motherfucking, cocksucking son of a-“
She rushed forward in a blind rage, fists flying almost as fast as the curses that accompanied them. There was no rhyme or reason to her assault, no targeting areas, just an onward wave fists, plowing into him at 10MPH. Makoto didn’t care what she hit, so long as she hit.

Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda - Second Impressions
While a flame burned scorching hot in his heart, so to did a fire burn under Makoto's flesh. He stared at her boiling over, not quite sure what to make of it. She had gotten pretty cross with him throughout the match, but overall seemed to keel a mostly level head. Now? He hardly recognized her. She was like a rabid animal let off the least and he was the only one fenced in with her... Save for the referee.
He found himself backing away, throwing his arms up and Makoto came at him like a the Tasmanian devil a tornado of fists and unchecked raged. Blow after blow rained down on him, some slipping past his makeshift guard. A fist to the stomach. A hook to the head, a elbow o the chest. It was as if she had been building up to this and the dam had finally burst flooding the canvas with a side of fists. He couldn't take much more, each second that pasted he could feel his arms straining, muscles crying out. Soon they would fail, and like his guard he would fall.
He had to act.
Bobbing to the side he finally manages to avoid a blow entirely, hand snapping out to grab for Makoto's wrist to yank her forward as he dipped around her. "Enough!" He brought his body up beside her, a large palm swinging over and around to try and catch the murderous Motorhead at the base of her skull and carry the momentum to slam her face into the canvas, bearing down on her with his weight to drive the strike home as hard as he could.

Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda - Second Impressions
Red. Pure red. Makoto’s entire world was filled with nothing but crimson, as if she were looking at the world through some kind of bloody filter. There wasn’t much coherent thought behind her actions, not a whole lot of focus or attention paid. Her main thought, her only thought, was hurting Makio. Making him shut. Making him stop standing tall and getting the audience behind. A wild, final effort to turn him into the whining little bitch that all Tension men were supposed to be.
It didn’t work.
Instead, it ended up with Makoto’s face on the floor and Makio on top. She wasn’t quite sure how she’d gotten there. One moment, she was slugging away at him, infighting, working in her ideal range. She was throwing everything she had into this push, and if it worked, if she could get him into the corner and hammer him there…good times.
But then, somehow, he’d vanished from her sight. And before she could figure out where he was, he grabbed, brought her down hard and...well, here she was. Flat on her chest. Groaning. Not moving much. This wasn’t quite the way she’d seen this day going when she woke up.

Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda - Second Impressions
Blue Thunder Mask pulled his palm away as he brought Makoto down to the mat panting as he looked down at her. he could think of a few things he wanted to say to her, none of them were especially flattering or kind. He had fanned the flames enough as this woman at his feet now must have suffered some sort of mental break in the ring. He wasn't going to press it further. He was just going to end it.
Stepping over Makoto, he took hold of her ankles. He stepped down on the inside of her knee and thigh before hooking one ankle around her shin, stepped over and did the same with the other. Crouching down, he grabbed hold of her wrists to wrench her arms back as he teetered awkwardly on top of her. He rocked his body until falling backwards. Briefly the two of them were pressed against one another, until he extended his legs to hoist her up, hanging above him, suspended in the air for the whole arena.
He made sure to keep her steady, balance was an important part of this. He slowly bent her back, hooking an arm under one of hers before reaching up to apply a dragon sleeper to her neck as her lower body was still hanging suspended. There was precious little that could be done now. Makoto had one arm to work with, and nowhere or no way to crawl to the ropes this time. After a few seconds of him shifting and adjusting, her seemed to have locked everything in.
He wanted to gloat... to insult her... to rub all of this in her face... But that's what she would do, wasn't it? This could have been avoided, but here they were. He didn't say anything. He was better than that. He strove to be at least. She had put up one hell of a fight, in that regard she had earned his respect. It was just everything else he couldn't get behind.
All he had to do now was to wait for her to tap or pass out. This was over.

Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda - Second Impressions
That was far being pleasant, no getting around that. Makoto was currently face flat on the floor, hurting, her mind awash with pain, embarrassment setting in. More than anything, she kept wondering how this guy so consistently managed to put her on the ground. She was fierce, she was throwing her all him, but he wasn’t just surviving, the man was thriving.
She moved about on the floor, pushing up with a slow rise after a few moments passed. She was dimly aware of Blue Thunder Mask moving about her, no doubt getting ready to setup something up. She wasn’t too worried, though. The ropes weren’t far. Whatever he put her in couldn’t be all that bad. Right?
Wrong.
”Hey, what the fuck?” She tossed her head about, trying to get a good read on the situation, as Blue Thunder Mask seized the moment and yanked her back into another one of his fancy holds. This one was different. This one lifted her up, gave her no avenue to reach the ropes. Basically, she was screwed, and it only got worse when the dragon sleeper got into the mix.
Cries and cheers echoed about the stadium, as the people clamored for Makoto to tap, and she had to admit, that wasn’t the worst idea. There was no way for her to fight this move, and to make matters worse, it seemed like Blue Thunder Mask wasn’t keen to let her go.
But there was another option. It wouldn’t settle the match, but it would make her feel better.
Makoto threw up twin middle fingers, and Stone took her cue, rolling into the ring without a moment of hesitation. The blonde giantess came rushing towards Makio with Devine following close behind, and they both handled their respective business - Devine tried to pull Makoto free, and Stone started to launch kicks into his side, giving him some kind incentives to let their leader go.

Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda - Second Impressions
He breathed in deeply. This was it. He wondered if she would at least give him the courtesy of a hand shake when it was over. Maybe they could put this thing to bed. He glanced over at her bent upside down... Not wouldn't be the time to ask. Surely she understood this was over. She was barely even fighting it...
His brow furrowed as the canvas suddenly shook. Craning his neck, looking behind him upside down to see Stone and Devine moving into the ring. This was wrong... this was so wrong. He unhooked his arm from around Makoto's neck, trying to shove her off of him. He had to get rid of her so he could make a stand or this was going to be bad. Come on... come on get off!
The two were already on him now. Devine would have no real issue breaking their leaders free, he was trying to offer her over freely as if he understood what was going to happen otherwise. That didn't seem to matter as Stone drilled him in the side with her big boot. His body bent with each thunderous kick as he wheezed, clutching at his side trying to protect himself. She had been able to get in two free hits before he even had a chance to defend himself. he had thought Makoto had some power behind her, Stone was a juggernaut.

Re: Blue Thunder Mask vs. Makoto Takeda - Second Impressions
Blue Thunder Mask was a good man. Stone could see that. He was the sort of guy that Tension needed a lot more of. He wasn’t here because he had some fetish for beating up women, or because he wanted to get free wrestling sessions with hot women. This was a man who loved the sport. A purist.
She respected that. It wouldn’t stop her from kicking him into the mat under orders, but she wasn’t happy about it.
Makoto wasn’t happy, either. But, with her, it was more about white hot rage, than any shame. She stood up with Devine as the referee called for the bell and the audience went into a predictable frenzy, some of them even looking ready to jump the barricade. They were welcome to try, honestly - Makoto was in a mood to wreck anyone in the near vicinity who wasn’t wearing her colors, and the more the merrier on that front.
For now, she was content to give Blue Thunder Mask all her attention. ”Get him up.” She spat off to the side and paced about the ring, rubbing her neck as she stomped about. ”Get him the fuck up!”
Devine moved in a hurry, grabbing Makio by one shoulder while Stone seized the other one, holding him upright on his knees. ”Word of advice, handsome.” She whispered his way, blowing hot breath into his ear as she did. ”The more you fight, the harder it’ll go.”
