Dave Blake Addresses the Tension Roster!

The moment the new music hit, Dave came out onto the stage, smiling at the fans as they let out a chorus of cheers and chants. Unhooking the new piece of his attire, he hoisted up the 24/7 title with the biggest grin on his face. Marching off at a brisk pace, the young man slid into the ring, not even bothering to contain his excitement. Hopping a bit on the canvas, he reached out to take a microphone from the tech man n the outside of the ring.

"Hey Tension?!" he called, raising the title, "I....DID IT!"

He held the title belt high in the air, soaking in the praise. After a few moments, he tossed the belt on his shoulder, adjusting it slightly so he could talk to the crowd.

"It has been quite the ride up to this point. Went from a losing jobber to your new 24/7 Champion. First thing I want to say is THANK YOU. To the fans, to my opponents....and specifically to Ryo Kamiya. You and I showed what we can really do in a competitive match, and helped me unlock that drive that helped me win my first championship."

Sighing, he turned to the empty stage, "Which brings us to the next inevitable question. Who's next? I promise you all I will not squander this opportunity. I recognize what having this title means, and what it asks of it's holder. That's why I am calling out the entire Tension Locker Room. You have a fighting champion here! I want whoever comes out of that locker room to have the FIRE and PASSION to put on the BEST DAMN MATCH THESE PEOPLE HAVE EVER SEEN! THAT is who I want to fight for my title."

Gesturing to the back, he smiled for the world to see, "Anytime, any place, let's do this!"

Adam hadn’t been the most active man in tension. That being because of a few…well…quite a few suspensions. The red head didn’t care in the slightest, though. In his mind, he could take the league by storm any time he wanted. And as luck would have it, Adam would get his chance as he watched the current 24/7 champ running his mouth on a screen. The red headed terror might have well been staring at his golden goose. So without wasting another minute, Adam would find a mic and head out to the arena. He wasn’t coming out of the entrance though…

While the fans currently were cheering on Dave as they waited for someone to show up, Adam was already out there. Stalking his prey from a far, the red head would wait for the moment when the crowd quieted down to speak.

“Testing, testing! Is this shitty thing on?” the speakers would blast to the crowds confusion. “That’s a nice title you’ve got on your shoulder man…congrats you really deserve it! But you also deserve to have it ripped away if you’re gonna parade it around like this...” Adam would almost growl as he stayed back in the shadows.

“I mean really man? You finally get a title and you take a risk lie this right off the bat? Well it’s too late to turn back now Dave. So if if you want fire and passion…I’ll make sure to give it to you while I’m kicking your ass!” the red head would shout through the speakers, but still not revealing himself.

Dave's head cocked to the side when the voice called out from seemingly everywhere. The champion turned this way and that, the prospect of a challenge already bringing a smile to his face. Waiting for the mysterious individual to finish speaking, he chuckled and put the mic up to his lips.

"Don't threaten me with a good time stranger. Underestimating me is a one way trip to a loss. Just ask my past opponents."

Adam would chuckle back darkly into the mic after hearing Dave's rebuttal. Sure he had gotten lucky with one or two pretty big names, but in his mind, the current champ was in over his head.

And his cheery attitude was pissing Adam off...

"You think there's no danger here, Dave? Hmm? Is that it? Well trust me Dave, you're fucking dead, and the sad thing is you put yourself in this situation! You wanted a challenge! You came out here so someone would ambush you! What would've happened if some six foot five giant had come out here, and crushed you? I'll tell you...you would've looked like an idiot. Period. Plain and simple." the red headed terror would say before pausing to let his words sink in. And then, moments later, he'd start to speak again.

"Trust me Dave, that attitude is gonna screw you over one way or another...this whole time you've been like a frog in pot of hot water. While those little 'wins' you've gotten have just blinded you to the fact that you're slowly being boiled to death!" Adam would say as his voice built to a growl.

"And do you wanna know the funniest part?" he would ask before pausing to hear Dave's answer.

Before Dave had a chance to respond, ___ began to play unexpectedly. Coming out in casual clothing he didn’t look like he was here for a fight. He hasn’t been heavily active since he and Daisuke retained their tag team championship, and upholding justice in the process. After stepping through the ropes he call for a mic, before turning his attention to Adam. “Hold on a second Adam, you need to calm down and take it easy.” Turning towards Dave he continued. “From one champion to another, allow me to congratulate you on your recent win.” He has his half of the tag team championship with him, resting over his shoulder.

“I couldn’t help but over hear you calling out entire Tension roster a moment ago. Did I hear that correctly? It’s good to see you’re willing to defend that title against anyone, but I’m not sure you fully understand the situation you’re in.” He pauses for a moment to see how Adam is taking the interruption before continuing. “Don’t get me wrong, if you and Adam want a piece of each other that’s fine with me, in fact I welcome getting a chance to see it…but there’s a problem with that.”

Before he can finish his statement someone else decided to join the party. Daisuke snuck her way ringside, with a referee following close behind. Just before Sion was about to open his mouth again Daisuke slid in the ring and grabbed Dave from behind, rolling him up, looking to take advantage of the situation that Dave put himself in…he is the 24/7 champion after all.

Sion said nothing as the referee began to make a count. “One…Two..”

Dave waited to hear Sion's little speech, giving the man room to say his piece. He knew that in the back of his mind every midcarder in Tension would be gunning for him, and he wouldn't have fought for the belt if he wasn't aware of the risk.

Before he could answer properly though, he felt someone yank him from behind, rolling him up perfectly while a ref slid in for the pin!

"What the fuck?!" Dave yelped, breaking the pin at a two count and shoving the woman forward, rolling back to his feet. The belt slid across the canvas, where the ref scooped it up and kept an eye on the three wrestlers. Dave smirked at Dai, shaking a finger, "Oooooh sneaky little trick there. But if you want the belt, I'm afraid I won't be handing it over THAT easily."

Close, but not close enough. Getting to her knees she looked up at Dave after having the pin broken, giving him a small shoulder shrug before regaining her footing. Sion grinned at Dave giving Daisuke the finger shake. “See what I mean? Are you sure you can handle the possibility of that becoming an every day occurrence?”

Daisuke made no further advancements as Sion spoke to Dave. Sion tells Dave “Good luck to you though.” Sion respectfully tells Dave before turning to leave. Upon exiting the ring he hands the mic back to the ring announcer, and his gal joins him on the outside. “Did you really have to do that?” Sion asks her. “If I didn’t someone else would have” she responds, which he didn’t see anything wrong with the reply. They both look up at the two guys still in the ring for a moment, wondering how Adam will react to almost being legally robbed of a chance to face Dave for the belt.

This was exactly what Adam was talking about. Before he could realize what was happening, a newcomer came out and was talking to the 24/7 champ! What was this a talk show!? He was in the middle of challenging Dave god damn it! Then, to make matters worse, a second newcomer would take advantage of the champ's conversation and go for a sudden pin attempt out of nowhere!

As much as Adam wanted to run in there and curb stomp all of them, in his mind he could just as easily beat up this girl just as easily as Dave. The champ managed to kick out at the last second, though, meaning there were two challengers...not just one.

"Oh...for the love of...Fuck this!!!" Adam would growl into the mic as he got tired of hiding. So jumping over the broadcasting equipment he was standing behind, the red headed terror would charge the ring. But before he went after Dave, he'd go after the bitch who had butted into his moment. Jumping over the barricade, Adam would aim to simply drop the woman by striking her with both hands behind her head! He'd completely ignore Sion for now, but at the same time, he'd aim to knock the woman into him so he wouldn't be a bother.

If successful, hew would then try to bring her back up and force her into the ring. He was sick of waiting for this match to start...so if this bitch wanted in, he'd hurry her up as well!

A couple of ringside fans started to encourage Sion to go for it, feeling that he could take Dave as is. He turned his attention to time and asked "You sure about that?" and as he did he saw Daisuke fall in front of him. With a look of surprise and confusion he turned in the direction he fell and saw that Adam came out of hiding. Before he could react to the sight of who knocked Dai over, the referee that came down with Dai earlier got between the two guys. The fans didn't take too kindly to Adam jumping Daisuke like that, which Sion was in agreement with them. "What was that for?" he demanded to know.

"Yeah what was that for?" another female voice asked with a non-pleased tone. Having heard of what Daisuke was trying to pull, her manager Lina attempted to get to her before she could act, but with due to some distractions backstage she wasn't able to get out there as soon as she would have hoped. She arrived on the scene just as the referee was getting between Sion and Adam. Having seen the attack from behind Lina shoves Adam away from Sion and the ref. "What the fuck's your problem?" She was prepared to give Adam a piece of her mind, getting right up in his face as Sion turned to help Daisuke back to her feet.

"That was for getting in my way damnit!" Adam would bark as he grew more and more angry at the three. He wasn't even paying attention to the others anymore after entering the ring. All he cared about now was Dave, and beating him senseless so he could get that title belt. The others were just annoying bugs to him...

"Just stay the hell outta my way" Adam would growl at the others before looking at the ref girl. "Ring the bell!" the red head would then shout before charging at the current 24/7 champion. It was time to show Tension just what he could do, and just how brutal he was while doing it.
