Shaking his head, Ryu would re-focus his blurry eyes just in time to see Vritra's huge strong body flip over him, coming down onto his smaller fram like a collapsing wall of female muscles.

In spite of avoiding her crushing move, Ryu still had to catch his breathing before he could stand up, and he took a few more seconds to stagger to the nearest corner and climb past the third rope, balancing himself on the turnbuckle.

Supposing that Vritra was still disoriented from her missed senton, the brave boy waited for her to stand up in order to jump from there, hopefully delivering a fullbody press that would tackle her down.

The potential flaw in his plan was all the time needed to recover and prepare for his move, so that Vritra could have predicted his attack and prepare her countermeasures... but he was going to find out soon.

Vritra said with amusement as she would push herself up, using her arms to push Ryu aside so that she could get back on her knees and then on her feet. Well, that was certainly a lucky shot, sure, but even then, Vritra liked it more if her opponent posed more challenge to her rather than being an easy prey to feast on.

Long or standard pinfall could not make any diffeerence, because Vritra lifted her shoulder without problems at the second count, thus interrupting Ryu's pinning attempt.

But what impressed more Ryu was how she easily shrugged him off, having the redhead boy fall apart to the mats while she started to get up.
"Woah...unghf!". Ryu let out a faint groan when his back hit the mats.

Still sitting down with a shocked face while Vritra stood up, he would have better rolled apart to gain some distance and think of a new attack strategy, but Ryu didn't want to lose the initiative advantage and so he tried to dive forward for a low tackle at Vritra's legs.
