Mio then gave Layla a little nod and went to her corner, until the ref summoned both of them to the center of the ring so the match could start. Her expression didn't give away whatever she's thinking of feeling as she approached the middle of the ring, but underneath that mask was a mild level of excitement as she's wondering how this bout would turn out.

"Um, hi..." Mio returned the greeting taking Layla's hand and shook it briefly. She didn't say much afterwards. The bell would soon be sounded to start the match, and she'd take a step back from her opponent.

Rather than engaging Layla straight away, Mio decided to just circle around the girl for a bit, trying to look for an opening or something. Eventually, she'd attempt to close in again and test the water by locking hands with Layla to try pushing her a bit.

Layla took the hand and simply smiled at the girl wondering where she could hurt her the most. Not that it looked like she would need much Mio looked petite and probably wouldn't be able to handle of her style or skill. Once she backed up Layla eyed the girl up until the bell rang where she basically hopped off the ring and started to move towards the girl.

Mio moved around the ring but Layla was quick to close the distance and tried to lock up with the girl. "Come on Mio lets see what your good at." Layla said locking up with the girl and trying to push her and control the hold as a show of strength.

With Layla locking up with her and began to push, Mio would do the same. First she tried to hold her ground, which wasn't an easy task as it turned out. Still she'd try pushing more and more, giving it her all, hoping she might even be able to push Layla backwards if possible. Physical strength not being her forte but it's not like the raven haired girl could easily pulled away or anything even if she wanted to.

Pushing against the girl Layla could tell she wasn't exactly the kind who overpowered her foes all that much. Though now that she was here she wanted to see by how much. Pressing into Mio as she smiled and beamed at the girl she made sure to never divert her eyes from her opponent as if the mere staring contest would intimidate her a bit.

Though muscle wasn't her forte either and she had other plans. Moving low and trying to go past her she would try and get to her back and put her hands up and towards Mio's breasts as she tried to squeeze them.

Mio was slowly being driven back even if she tried to push harder. Her eyes also fixated on Layla's the whole time, although their expression was kind of contrasting each other.
