Medieval history match: Tessa vs. Triin
Medieval themed History match
Standard, with POW stipulation for a night
On a sunny, late afternoon Tessa Price made herself ready for her next match. It would be a match against a newcomer and the latest edition to the video on demand series of AFW that would took place in historical settings.
Therefore it was not an arena where the match took place, but an old fully restored castle in the middle of an area called the Blackwood forest or Schwarzwald in the native tongue. When it was built, the little castle had received a place at the river Rhine where it sat seemingly smug on a little hill over the dark forest like a proud baron, expecting the big old trees of the rural landscape to bow down before it.
Tessa had received the home terrain bonus so to say because she was half German, but home advantage was basically worthless in a wrestling match anyway.
Contrary to the last matches of this kind, this one would not go straight to DVD but would be live in front of a well situated audience who could afford a vacation in medieval style clothes and surrounding, so every spectator would be clothed accordingly as lord or lady. Things were expected to get a little heated up over the course of the weekend, and a woman wrestling match would be an appropriate teaser.
A fanfare and the start of her music heralded the entry of Knight Tessa who walked confidently to the ring. The knight was clad in her usual attire except that it had the crowned Prussian eagle on the back of her bottom and top and her robe had been hung over a really light chain armor and a fake, sheathed sword at her side. Her golden hair quelled out of the sides of the open visor helmet that was sitting on the top of her head.
Stepping through the second and third rope, she would wave and parade around the ring until her opponent was about to appear and she could start to get rid of her extra equipment.

Re: Medieval history match: Tessa vs. Triin
- Triin Liiv - The Baltic Knightess:
Triin Liiv was still a newcomer at AFW. But her knightess -gimmick had already proved out to be a hit among the management there. Unlike what she had expected, one of her first matches would be taking place in Germany. The management had contacted her and told that they were looking to arrange a medieval-themed match with the wrestlers performing as "knights", and naturally had thought Triin would be perfect selection for the task.
Needless to say, Triin agreed.
So here she was now, in a medieval castle in Southwestern Germany. The landscape and surroundings were awesome, more than suitable for a match of this type. This was definitely a castle she wanted to be ruling after today's fight.
But her opponent? Triin didn't really know anything about her, other than the fact that she enjoyed history-themed matches. But it didn't really bother her, she'd be ready to face anyone whoever it might turn out to be.
And right now, she was about to find out. Observing the situation from the other side of the match hall, Triin was watching her foe's every move. She appeared to be relatively similar to her, and looked like the medieval crowd was going to witness a clash of two blonde knightesses.
Another observation was that her opponent was apparently local. Yes, Triin recognized the Prussian eagle. And it meant that, at least in theory, Triin would have the role of an attacker trying to conquer the castle. Or at least that was what she was psyching herself up with. Her attire wasn't really any different from her usual one, apart from the fact that someone had stuck an armor and a helmet in her hands for the pre-match part. But her outfit, coincidentally, kind of represented the colors of the flag of Estonia anyway. Not that it really had anything to do with medieval times.
With fanfares and music, now it was Triin's turn to enter the ring. With the role of an attacker in mind, she decided to act as plainly and threateningly as possible. Without any waves or words, she immediately settled herself in the middle of the ring, and rose her sword in the clashing position. Let's see if her opponent would agree to clash their swords a bit for show before they would get rid of their extra equipment and the match itself would begin.

Re: Medieval history match: Tessa vs. Triin
Tessa had stopped parading around and was about to get rid of her helmet and knight outfit when her opponent began her march in. Following and intuition, she stopped removing her garb and looked at the entrance of the other girl, only opening her visor to have a better look. This would pay off immediately for several reasons, but the best reason was that Triin, or however the name of the girl was pronounced, added to the flair with a first standoff. This was unplanned as far as the blonde knew, but it was most welcome.
So she would unsheathe the replica sword she was wearing to mirror the move of her opponent to the growing cheers of the spectators.
“Hey there. Nice idea!”
She began kind of a conversation with a little smile.

Re: Medieval history match: Tessa vs. Triin
So, this was a knight-themed match. Or actually, the whole setting was totally medieval-style. That was absolutely perfect for Triin's knightess role, and it meant that she could play along with that whole-heartedly now. Which then again obviously meant that she could show off some of her skills with the sword.
With that in mind, Triin immediately set herself in the center of the ring with her sword raised. Luckily, her opponent seemed to be all too pleased to play along with that plan. The blonde local came promptly to meet her, and her sword with her own. And then she was greeting with compliments and smile! Sure, it was nice, and generally Triin appreciated it. However, it wasn't helping with trying to give an impression of a threatening attacker...
"Thanks!" followed with a second and a half of a subtle smile was deemed to be a sufficient response by Triin to Tessa's greeting. Immediately after that, it was time for some sword-clashing. Indeed, Triin had experience in swordplay, and she was confident that those skills could help her outshine Tessa before the match. First, she would try to clash the swords of the two fighters a few times together for the purpose of a good show, before attempting to suddenly sway her own sword swishing closer to Tessa's body. Hoping it would catch her German foe off guard, Triin would then raise her eyebrows with the statement "May the best knight win..." before turning towards her own corner to get rid of the extra equipment.

Re: Medieval history match: Tessa vs. Triin
Immersion was of course pretty welcome here. Tessa had not really thought that her opponent had actually skills with the sword! At least it seemed this way to the Blonde as she had trouble keeping up with the girl and did not really see it coming when the sword whizzed close by her body, letting her indeed sweat a little. She was not a total stranger to swordplay, her father was a British jet fighter in retirement who considered it the sign of an old school gentleman to have some sword skills and did not have the shame to not let his young daughter sit around on the training range.
“Easy there, hot shot. It´s not a fencing duel!”
Tessa said with a slightly wavering voice.

Re: Medieval history match: Tessa vs. Triin
Triin was skillful with swords, and before the match there seemed to be a perfect opportunity to show off some of those skills. Deciding to clash the two swords with her opponent for a bit, her actions seemed to be getting a positive response from the audience. Tessa did seem to be a bit surprised by Triin's pace with it, but it was obvious that this wasn't the first time for Tessa having a sword in her hands either. She kept up with her pace quite well, but Triin did still have a trick up in her sleeve.
The Baltic knightess could see slight shock on Tessa's face as she suddenly swished her sword closer to her opponent's body. And based on her comment, it had exactly the slight intimidating effect Triin was hoping to achieve with it. Content with the dangerous impression she had just given of herself, Triin immediately replied her local blonde foe with her wishes for the match before turning around towards her corner. Leaving her helmet, armor and sword there to be taken outside of the ring for the match, the knightess flexed her limbs for a moment before heading back towards the center of the ring, ready for the bell to ring. Well, if it was a bell that would be ringing in tonight's setting anyway.

Re: Medieval history match: Tessa vs. Triin
Now that had been certainly impressive. Tessa needed a little bit of time until she convinced herself that a sharp blade although impressive would not win her opponent anything in a wrestling match that was not a no DQ hardcore match or something like that.
Shaking her head a little bit from the display of her opponent, she took her helmet and other knight gear off before she would bring her wrestling gear back into all the right places in case it had been distorted by her medieval outfit before she readily confronted her opponent again with a confident stance and impression on the face.
“Maybe you are a pro with the sword, so let us see if you´re a pro in the ring too.”

Re: Medieval history match: Tessa vs. Triin
It was always said that first impressions were important. And Triin was confident that this time she had nailed it. She had appeared awesome in front of the crowds, and intimidated her opponent. Win-win. Now, she just had to make sure she would keep up as impressively as she had started.
By the time Triin had made her way back to the center of the ring, Tessa was already doing the same. The Baltic Knightess could now take a better look at her opponent's body without all the extra equipment - and she had to admit it looked impressive. All in all, the two blondes were rather similar in size, but Tessa did look quite strong. And very wrestlerish.
And she had regained her confidence. Sure, the swords were gone now. No weapons, no armours. Tessa seemed to be very comfortable with that.
"Of course..." Triin replied rather bluntly to Tessa's comment. The truth? Well, she was still a rookie. But she wouldn't let that disturb her... Surely she could fight her way to the top with her agile strikes. And as the bell, this time apparently an old church bell, rang, Triin wanted to get quickly on the offensive. The Estonian would try to immediately spin around, and deliver a high spin kick to Tessa's side to start off the match.

Re: Medieval history match: Tessa vs. Triin
That did now not sound really confident from the mouth of her opponent, rather a little bit blunt to be honest. She also was a little bit assured in her own speech by this way, lowering her hands to get into a grappling stance. Not that Triin had much to be ashamed off from the view of Tessa or any reason to be meek, but her own confidence also did not really hang in the balance from the sigh of a good looking girl. For the exchange of niceties would probably be much more time later on...
Taking a deep breath when the tower bell was rung as a signal for the match to start. Not wanting to let the initiative with Triin, she would take the painful blow to the side and clip in a little bit before attempting to use the momentum given by the kick to pull her opponent into a quick side headlock.
“UFGN!”

Re: Medieval history match: Tessa vs. Triin
Triin had gotten the distinct feeling that Tessa was indeed a pro. In any case, her blonde foe was probably more experienced than her, but that wasn't necessarily a problem. After all, the setting of the match suited her knightess -gimmick well! But one thing was for sure - Triin wanted to gain the upper hand right from the beginning.
With that thought the Baltic Knightess started off the match with the high spin kick. It was the success Triin had hoped for, but Tessa's next move definitely wasn't part of her script. If anything, Triin had expected to deliver another kick soon following the first one, but instead she was pulled into a side headlock!
The surprising turn of events led the Estonian to spend a moment of hesitation and confusion during which she seemed to be practically paralyzed in Tessa's hold. But instincts were quickly kicking in - and they were telling Triin to start delivering some stiff chops to Tessa's midsection.
