A Welcome Pack

In a letter addressed to "Ms. Angelique Margot DavenPort", handwritten and delivered to her new office by hand apparently... The letter read:

Dear Ms. DavenPort

It is my sincere regret that I have not had the chance to make your acquaintance yet since my dear sister, Cassandra, appointed you as General Manager of Friction.

I, Melissa Sellers, would be most grateful if you would accept my invitation to meet at the Naibu Heiwa Gardens in Kyoto at 3pm tomorrow. I have enclosed a pamphlet in case you struggle to find directions there.

Angelique would take a moment to look at the letter. It was from Melissa Sellers, the General Manager of Tension and the sister of Cassandra. The new General Manager had heard that Melissa originally wanted to be the General Manager of Friction as well as Tension but Cassandra had shot down that idea. She was a bit suspicious but it would be far too rude for her to refuse.

Upon arriving the location she would take a moment to look at the letter just to make sure she got the location right. “Seriously, who sends letters these days now? An email would have been far easier.” stated Angelique to herself as she then would herself towards the meetup location.

She would take some time to look around, seeing the Japanese Garden with a pond, stream and even a house. It kind of reminded her of the time when she was in a Japanese school and was friends with Akiha. Though she did enjoy those moments she preferred the American approach, with lights, music and all sorts of technology.

After taking a few moments to look at the scenery, she would make her way towards the house. Upon reaching the door, she would look for a door knob only to realize there wasn't one. It had been a while since she had been in Japan and even then usually they had normal doors. Yet what was in front of her was a different type of door. She would recall from her memories of Akiha using Shoji doors though even then they were pretty rare. Though the Friction General Manager would remember that she had to slide the doors. She would then proceed to do so and then enter the house, with a large smile on her face as she kept her whip under her clothes... for now.

The house, or hut, consisted only of one room in its entirety.

Close to the door there was a exquisite looking circular yin-yang table that housed a tea pot and a couple of saucer bowls to drink out of... To one side of the table knelt Melissa Sellers. The resemblance to her sister Cassandra was faint but slightly visible. They both had blonde hair and wore an air of superiority about them like a second skin... But that sense was quite different with Melissa than Cassandra. Melissa appeared to be much more companionable then her sister Cassandra.. She wore black silk kimono with an intricate patter of intersecting thin white lines.

"Ah.. Ms. Davenport..." Melissa spoke in a tone of voice that was as soft and soothing as a warm cup of cocoa in the evening "At last we meet. Please... Leave the doors open, it would be a shame to waste such a glorious view don't you think?" And it was indeed quite the view. From the hut, one could see a majority of the Naibu Heiwa gardens... he sun was located behind the building and so there was no glaring light, although the sunlight did glint crisply off of the surface of the lake

A professional smile would appear on Angelique's face. She would leave the door open and take a seat as she looked around before turning her attention towards to her fellow General Manager. “It is indeed a pleasure. As for the view, I would have to disagree. A glorious view comes from things created naturally, like your body for example. Anyone with enough money can create such a view without putting any effort into it. But to have glorious bodies like ours, take effort and luck, no matter who you are. I prefer clubs and stadium over gardens, they at least don't pretend to be something they are not.” stated Angelique as already began to go on the offensive, show that she would not be a push over or someone that could be bullied.

“Now then, I assume you did not call me here, just for the...view and to introduce yourself. Seeing as you have asked me to leave the doors open, I assume it's not for pleasure either, a shame as I would have enjoyed dominating you. That means the only reason you called me here was for a business reason. So let us get straight to business then.” stated the Friction General Manager as she then waited for Melissa response as she gave a bored look.

Melissa made a gentle laugh through closed lips that sounded faintly like she was humming

"You already sound somewhat like my dear sister... Perhaps that is why she hired you in particular." She leaned forwards and took the tea pot in one hand, using her other to hold the lid down as she poured slowly into one bowl and then the other in such a manner that one might have thought she had taken geisha lessons. "Does it really always have to be business deary? Perhaps I simply wish the company of a fellow general manager.." The offensive stance Angelique had taken along with the suggestive undertone didn't garner a direct response, but that was not to say that it had gone unnoticed... Melissa placed the pot down in the middle of the table and then looked inquisitively at the pink haired woman.

"A rather perculiar take on beauty, if you don't mind me saying so... Tell me; does your exception to the garden stem from the fact that it is nature which has been twisted into something almost artificial... Something it is not meant to be? Or because you believe that all beauty must come at the price of labor and you do not merit the work done here?" As ridiculous as it was to think that a question about a garden and Angelique's ideals of beauty could hold any importance, Melissa cast an eye Angelique's way that suggested she was keen to hear her answer.

“From what I hear you and your sister do not get along. Though you might find me more flexible in some areas while far more restrained in her other ideas.” said Angelique as she was implying issues regard both business and pleasure, she wasn't sure if Melissa would get it but in the end, it wouldn't' really matter too much. She would raise an eyebrow when she saw Melissa skill at using a tea pot. It was clear that her time in Japan had taught her a few skills. “I guess I will find out shortly if that is true or not.” stated Angelique as all she had to do was to see where the conversation was leading up to in order to find out the truth.

“Replace the or with an and... and you shall have your answer. Please don't tell me we are about to discuss what I and you believe beauty is because if this is where the conversation is going, I am going to head out now and go to the bar... or maybe my Sex Dungeon.” stated Angelique as she wanted to avoid such a boring conversation.

"All tended gardens are not natural, at least in the sense that they are not wild deary..." Melissa said almost abruptly as soon as Aneglique had finished talking... She then paused a smiled "But, I have to admire anyone who manipulates anyone or anything else to be what it is not meant to be... There is a certain power in it, even if it is just a gardener manipulating nature." She carefully took the sauce bowl in one hand and brought it up just below her chin, nodding for Angelique to take up the other bowl if she so wished.

" 'From what you've heard' you said? Has my sister been telling tall tales again?"

“You are starting to bore me... that is not a good sign.” stated Angelique as she then gave a yawn towards her fellow General Manager. She didn't really want to make an argument of her views on things. After all, these were her views, how she viewed things, it didn't mean others had to follow the same or agree with them but as long as they respected her views it was fine.

“Your sister? She didn't say much about you. The internet and all sorts of media, on the other hand, states you two do not get along, on top of all sorts of other things. It is sort of considered common knowledge that you two don't get along.” stated the pink hair General Manager as she then took out her cellphone and would actually start scrolling to a forum, trying to find the topic that was talking about the two sister relationship.

For a moment after Angelique stated her boredom and went to lengths in displaying a yawn... Melissa looked at her not with anger or irritation as perhaps one might have thought, but instead with a hint of what appeared to be sad dissappointment. It lasted just a moment though and was soon replaced with a gentle but sardonic smile.

"Of course it does deary." she spoke in response to the subject matter boring Angelique with a sort of knowing tone of voice. Lifting the bowl with the one hand, she took a measured sip and then lowered it.


"My relationship with my sister..." Melissa began with a soft chuckle
"Well, lets say its... complex... I would tell you an interesting story relating to the Sellers sisters that might shed some light on the situation... 'The Bear, the Lion and the Spider'... Ah but I wouldn't want to bore you now, would I?" She said, an obvious shot back at Angelique comment. "Anyway, No doubt you could always ask Cassandra about that little bedtime story, if you should feel so disposed. I'm sure she will be very glad not to tell you all about it..." At this point Melissa put the bowl of tea down and reached slightly under the table to retrieve what appeared to be a black notepad/tablet and then carefully placed it on the table to the side of the tea pot inbetween herself and Angelique as if she were passing it to her... For some reason, it didn't seem like there was going to be bedtime stories on it. Most likely it was nothing to do with Cassandra and Melissa at all.

Angelique was now on her phone, bringing up all sorts of forums and posts talking about the relationship between the two sisters. As Melissa began to talk about, how each one of the Seller sisters was like a certain animal, the pink hair general manager would raise her head. “Bore me? Too late for that. Though do tell me, are you the spider, spinning her web and attempting to get me tangled in it? Or perhaps you are a lion, stalking me as if I was some kind of prey. Perhaps you are the brutal bear and getting ready to maul me. As for stories, if I want to hear some, I will just go on these forums.” stated Angelique as she showed her forum, having all sorts of theories about the relationship between the Seller sisters. “Not too sure how much of it is true, but it does make for an interesting read. As a general manager, who is now interacting with you and your sister, I could easily intensify certain rumors.” said the small pink hair wrestler as she would then give an evil grin. She knew that when it came to the upper class, reputation was a huge part. Hopefully, this would get Melissa to stop toying with her and get down to business.
