[FWC] Mechanic matchup! Ava Landry vs. Silver Peterson

Ava Landry:

Ava paced in the waiting room, she already had a second match and she couldn't wait, and that was something anyone watching could tell you. The pink haired Canadian would take a few steps, drop into a fighting stance and throw a few punches, then bounce back up to her feet and pace back and forth more. She would stretch after every instance of this, her muscles were still sore from her debut match, and she suspected that the pain wasn't a feeling that was going to go away anytime soon. The Canadian was kind of glad she was alone back here, Millie had offered to come with her to the match, but she had managed to convince the Brit just to meet her at a pub later on in the evening. She understood that her friend was just worried for her, but she wanted to do this on her own, not with a friend looking over her shoulder the entire time.

Once her theme began playing, Ava made her way out to the ramp. This time as she emerged into the stadium, she was met with more cheers than previous and responded to them with her usual friendly smile and wave. As her song got into the speedier beats, Ava would begin practically dancing down to the ring, having fun with her introduction this time. If the cheering of the crowd was anything to go by, it looked like it was working too! She would smile as she pulled herself up into the ring, then crossed over to one of the turnbuckles and climbed it, shooting out V for Victory signs to the crowd and waving excitedly, before dropping down to the canvas and turning as her music faded.

Alright, only thing left to do was wait for her opponent. She was hoping she wouldn't be going up against a heel this match, not because she didn't think she could take one though. No, Ava just didn't quite want to have a fight that tough this early on in her career. The Canadian was having fun right now, no need to mess that up. But as she waited for her opponent, she felt a stroke of pain shoot through her muscles again, and would go back to stretching and massaging them. She really, really hoped she wasn't up against a heel.

As Ava entered the arena and hopped into the ring, Manager would climb out from under the ring after messing with some things. He looked up at the Canadian girl and leaped up and landed on the turnbuckle behind Ava. "Hey there," Manager greeted, tipping his fedora, "You must be Ava Landry, right?" After asking, Manager would jump off the turnbuckle and over Ava's head and land in the center of the ring, dusting off himself.

He wore his usual fedora and tinted glasses, though this time his normally blue sweat hoodie was black. He gave Ava a friendly smile before asking, "You're probably wondering where your opponent is right? Hm, looks like she made some stops. How about I call her for you?" Manager chuckled as he would pull out a megaphone from behind him, which baffled the audience as he turned it on and yelled in to it, "OH SILVER!" His voice echoed across the arena as a theme started to play.

Silver Peterson:

Suddenly a large figure burst out from the arena entrance and onto the ramp. Silver ran down the ramp at high speed before jumping at the last second and landed in the ring with a huge thud. Silver wore the same plain, emotionless expression on her face as she reeled her arms back to loosen them up.

"There you are Silver! You know you were almost for the match right?" Manager asked with a chuckle, putting the megaphone behind him and it suddenly vanished. Silver shrugged as she finished loosening her arms. Manager turned to Ava and said, "Welp, she's here. Hope you have a good match!"

Manager would then hop out of the ring and head to the Observation Deck as the referee signaled for the bell to ring, starting the match.

Ava turned as Manager appeared from underneath the ring, giving him a confused, but friendly smile. "Ah, yeah, that would be me!" She exclaimed, approaching the man cautiously. "I'm sorry, you have me at a disadvantage...?" She would trail off questioningly, giving him an odd look. She was one hundred percent certain that this boy wasn't her opponent for the evening, and she really had no idea why he was here.

Ava's smile warmed a touch as she mentioned her opponent. "Well, just a little bit." She answered with a nod. She was still confused, but at least it seemed like he had something to do with all of this. Maybe he was her opponent's manager, or more like a younger brother from the looks of it. This was... not how she had imagined this match going.

Ava jumped a bit as she heard the loud thud and turned to face who she assumed was her actual opponent, giving the girl a warm, but curious smile. "Hi there, I'm Ava, nice to meet you." She would say, stepping forwards with an extended hand. She heard the bell ring, but didn't back down, figuring she would still greet her opponent before they got down to business.

As the bell rang and Ava greeted her, Silver gave her a blank stare as a response, readying herself like she was about to dash at her opponent before introducing herself in a monotone voice, "Silver Peterson." After introducing herself, she would suddenly charge at the slightly shorter girl. Silver read up on Ava several weeks prior to the match, but was still dead set on her strategy; run her down over and over.

Silver of course expected her opponent to tense up and prepare herself, but that didn't stop her or slow her down one bit. If Ava were to catch her, Silver would simply keep on moving, forcing and pushing Ava towards the rope for a strong start. If Ava couldn't, well she would be hit with run over by 190 lbs of force! If Silver could knock Ava down, Silver would keep running to the ropes and rebound off them in order to gain some leverage for a splash attack!

Ava's friendly smile faltered slightly, and was replaced with a more confused look as she stared at Silver after her peculiar introduction. Still, it wasn't enough to keep her down forever and the smile soon returned to her face. "Well, it's nice to meet you Silver." She replied, attempting to back up a little.

She didn't get far before she was suddenly hit by a wall of speed, knocking her off her feet and onto the canvas. Damn, this girl was fast, of course the Canadian would wind up fighting someone whose speed she couldn't keep up with. Ava wouldn't stay down for long though, she could hear Silver still speeding towards the rope and knew that she was a sitting duck like this.

So despite the fact that her muscles burned with pain, the Canadian would pull herself up onto her knees as her opponent was nearing her, and would tense herself as she prepared to pounce. Once Silver was close enough, Ava would launch herself at her opponent's stomach, trying to take her down to the mat with a spear.

Silver was able to run over her opponent with ease but as she got to the ropes and rebounded off them, charging at Ava, she would be met with a painful counter. Ava had managed to get back onto her knees and lunge at her, landing a powerful spear attack. Silver would frown slightly, letting out a grunt as Ava brought them to the mat. Normally a spear would be a severely painful, especially when launched and hit in the stomach. But Silver was a tad bit stronger than most girl, though she would be lying if it didn't send shocks of pain through her body.

Silver laid on her back with Ava on top of her, staring blankly at the girl before trying to buck her hips up, causing a slight sting to her stomach but if this worked and caused Ava to fall forward, Silver would launch a quick right punch to get Ava off. Silver would then get back to her feet, tensing up slightly but still showing no serious changes in her facial expression.

Ava was rewarded with a gratifying thump as she slammed into her opponent and managed to bring her down into the canvas. Scrambling, and once again ignoring the throbbing pain of her sore muscles, she would clamber onto Silver and straddle her stomach as she geared up to throw a punch down at her opponent. But staring down at Silver's blank stare, she hesitated. It was almost like fighting Millie...

Ava cursed internally as she realized she had paused, taking too long to make her next move. Underneath her Silver bucked, and threw the Canadian off her balance. Silver then proceeded to knock her completely off with a quick punch, knocking Ava off and onto the canvas. The pink haired woman would try to pull herself up, the danger Silver posed when being able to completely run over an opponent still fresh on her mind.

Silver was able to punch Ava off of her with no problem and once one her feet, Silver was already on the move. Quickly going over to Ava, she would try and pick the girl up by her hair before suddenly whipping her to the ropes, trying to force her to rebound off the ropes so she could deliver a quick punch to the girl's stomach before knocking them on to the ground with a leg sweep. Silver was completely dead set on winning her debut match, she needed the money for her family, and that only made the gears in her body spin harder and faster.

If Silver was able to knock Ava down to the mat, Silver would attempt to deliver a knee drop to Ava's stomach once again, aiming at one spot and heavily damaging it. A human's body was no more than a machine, break one part, and the whole machine can go into shambles. Of course this opened up the possibility for Ava to roll away and thus Silver would be landing on nothing and end up hurting herself, but that was a gamble she taking.

Ava grunted as she felt Silver grab her by the hair, and suddenly found herself running towards the ropes from an Irish whip. Bouncing back, Ava ran straight into Silver's fist, coughing as the air was knocked clean out of her from the blow, then felt her legs swept out from under her, hitting the canvas with a thump and a grunt.

The pink haired woman blinked as she stared up at the ring lights, trying to get the spots out of her vision. As she managed to come back to, she heard the unmistakable noise of someone leaping and immediately knew what was coming. Ava managed to roll out of the way just in time, hearing Silver's leg crash into the canvas where her stomach had been just moments ago.

The pink haired woman would then push herself up onto her knees and turn to face Silver, checking to see what state her opponent was in after that attack, not wanting to rush into a situation where she'd just be run over again.

As Silver dropped to her knees, Ava was able to recover quicker than she imagined and she would bang her knees off the canvas. A normal person would've normally screamed out in pain and fall over on to her back, clutching their knees but Silver was different. She would stay on her knees for a bit, taking deep breathes through her knees as her facial expression remained unchanged, still as plain as ever. But she truly did feel the impact of the drop and even for a big, strong girl as herself, it hurt. She took a moment before getting up to her feet, but her knees ached and she couldn't straighten her legs.

Silver looked down and would quickly deliver one decisive blows to each of her knees with her right fist. And just like that, she was able to straighten her legs out. It was almost as if she was like the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz, all rusted up and unable to move until she fixed herself. Silver knew this would give Ava precious time to attack but if she did, Silver would try to counter and lock up with the girl.
