Chasing Ms. Wright
Despite what many would believe to be a pointless endeavour, amazon Karen Starring's personal vendetta against what appeared to be the entirety of the Friction roster was a resounding success. She was by no means finished of course; she still had many a name upon her list. There was method to her madness too. Karen was not simply attacking those she deemed worthy of such in any random order; rather, she was saving the more flavoursome targets for last. All of the women that defeated Karen were hated by the amazon, and thus deemed deserving of 'justice,' but it was those who appeared to go above and beyond during said victories that earned themselves a more renowned place upon Karen's list. The more you had pissed Karen off, the more painful and personal her attempted vengeance would be, right up until the end where the last women she targeted would receive the most malice.
Save for one.
The woman who nearly retired her.
Karen had long imagined Jessica Wright's face upon the punching bag when unloading upon it during her many months of rehabilitation. Many a long night spent imaging how she would exert revenge upon a woman who had not only defeated her, but flat out put her on her back. A simple beat down like the others wouldn't do, not at all. Karen spent months thinking about Jessica. She wanted the Violet to do the same after she was finished with her.
Barely half-way through her self-written list, the obsessed Karen Starring deemed this of all nights to be the perfect one to begin her overly-drawn out plan of revenge upon the Violent Violet. Weirdly enough, considering her plan involved dominating Jessica in every aspect, mental and physical, she was weirdly dressed for such. Clad in a tight fitting black dress, which did wonders for making the already sizeable cleavage of the amazon a touch more satisfying to look at, Karen would give one final brush of her hair as she gazed at herself in the mirror. She honestly could not remember the last time she had taken such care in her appearance. The dress down to her thighs, Karen herself couldn't help but feel smug at the sight gazing back at her in the mirror. It was simply perfect for what she had planned.
With matching black heels, and a shoulder bag to match slung over her shoulder, Karen would gaze upon herself one last time before leaving her apartment, making sure to lock it upon exit. Her plan was meticulous, carefully done so down to the last detail. But this specific detail was the most risky, the most random. There was no telling what she had in mind could even begin tonight, with perhaps the last few hours Karen had spent infront of the mirror all being for nought. Not that such would stop her. A mountain itself would have to appear before Karen before she'd finally halt her journey for revenge upon the woman she so scorned.
But less than half an hour later, after hitching a ride to a extremely specific bar in the town of Kyoto, Karen would give a healthy tip upon exit as she gazed upon the venue. It was busy, but not so packed that Karen would struggle gaining entry or sliding her way through the crowds. Although, said crowds were already carefully examining and oogling the tall busty amazon in a dress a shade too tight for her.
Finding her way through the double doors, Karen's eyes would turn to that of scanners, as she scoured the horizon for the individual she so sought.
Nothing, at first.
Again, she looked, trying to picture the individual she had only seen upon the roster of AFW itself before in her mind. Such was risky itself; all it took was for said individual to change their hair, or perhaps wear something Karen was not expecting for them to go completely amiss in the amazons gaze. Let alone be there.
A final time she scoured, taking careful note of the bar itself where she believed this individual would be. Or rather hoped. If the person she sought just so happened to be in a group, let alone with someone else, things could turn a little complicated. Finally, her eyes latched on something. Only the back of a head, but one which was quickly examined further as Karen sidestepped through the crowd in order to gaze upon this individuals looks. It was most certainly the person she sought.
Karen nearly screamed in glee.
Controlling herself, the amazon soon found herself carefully sliding her way through the masses, in an attempt to close the distance with the one she sought. She was weirdly gentle, apologising and smiling to those she accidently nudged against. Weirdly, now was not the time for violence.
To her luck, the person she sought would be alone at the bar, a space opening next to them as a customer received the drinks she sought. Karen swooped in like a hawk, turning her frame to meet this figure she had spent all night preparing for. Not that they were expecting her at all.
She could barely contain her smile. She'd try to do so however, as she looked upon the figure with a sultry glare, speaking in a hush, almost careful tone.

Re: Chasing Ms. Wright
There was revenge. There was always revenge. James had a penchant for not really understanding things, and that was one of the many, many things he did not understand was why everyone felt the need to scheme against one another, to attack one another outside the bounds of the squared circle, to hone in on one person as if nothing else in the world matter. The aerial ace had lost many, many times in his life, and he could not even name any of the people who had defeated him outside of one or two particularly bad ones. James could not name any of the people he had beaten for that matter. He wrestled, he got a check, he skipped town for a little bit until he ran out of drinking money so he had to wrestle again. And the process repeated, endlessly.
So there James was, in his favorite bar. It was Saturday night, the beer was cold, the music was bumping, and it was basically everything he could have asked for on his night off. His manager had informed him that it was incredibly unwise to drink to excess, even when he was not wrestling the next day, but James rarely listened to anything other than his id. And his id was telling him to consume copious amounts of alcohol, so there he was.
"Bartender!" He assumed there was some Japanese word for bartender, but he had not cared to figure it out yet. James shook his empty bottle, his seventh, at the man and he sighed before removing the top off another one and sliding it over to him. The purple haired man nodded at him, and took a nice swig of it. Liquid satisfaction poured down his throat, and James was really started to feel it.
A presence sat down next to him, and James noticed it was a woman from his peripheral vision. He was about to turn and appraise her, when she made the first move. James turned so quickly he was liable to get whiplash. There, he laid eyes upon a woman that he thought was truly stunning. She had blonde hair and a killer body, and immediately his eyes dropped to one of the loveliest pairs of breasts he had ever had the fortune to see. The aerial ace tried to comport himself, and looked up to this woman's eyes.
"I, uh, hello there." James stammered out. It did not even occur to him to ask her how she knew his name. He blinked a few times, then took a swig of his beer. "Can I get you a drink? What are you going to be having tonight?"

Re: Chasing Ms. Wright
Of course, had James asked her name, or if he were to now, Karen would simply refute the request or give a false answer. The game had just started, in her mind, and she didn't want some off chance that Jessica's brother somehow knew her list of past opponents to screw things up. Had she had a heart, she would feel immense regret for what she was about to do, knowing full well the purpose was solely for revenge. Not that James wasn't an attractive gentlemen, but Karen was a rare breed of individual that simply cared not for the world of love. Perhaps in another life.
"Ohh, so kind. Hmmm...well actually...I'm not too much of a drinker..." Karen grinned, trying to play the role of cute stranger at the bar. She was lying of course; she had nearly drunk herself into an early grave following the weeks after Jessica's dismantling of her. She'd use this moment of course, to lean in close, her hand gripping onto Jame's arm as her eyes turned to the bar and selection of drinks. As she did, her sizeable chest would press a touch closer, mushrooming ever so slightly against the surface of the bar itself. No accident, of course.
"What would you recommend, Mr Aerial Ace?"
Fan girl, much?

Re: Chasing Ms. Wright
James waited for a bit, to hear this beauty's name. He was never very good at reading people, and some part of him recognized that this brunette woman, whoever she was, was feeling particularly reticent when giving her name. The purple-haired man did not particularly care one way or another. Here, at the bar, it was incredibly hard to be who you were. For the most part, James was a doddering mid- to low-carder who struggled when not soaring in the ring. But right now, he felt like the belt was already around his waist.
And even then, the little grin of hers made him forget quite a lot of what had happened only seconds ago. He listened with bated breath as the brunette gave her little spiel. For whatever reason, he chuckled when she said she was not much of a drinker. In his mind, that meant that he could get her loaded, as quick as possible. And from there, all sorts of fun things could happen.
"So," his tone dropped a country mile when he said the word, "there are a few things that could happen. The first, is good ole beer, not a thing wrong with this," he took a swig, as if that proved anything, "but you're a proper lady. We can't have a classy girl like you drinking this. I, uh, hm..." The Wright brother did his best to look lost in thought. "What about a nice Martini. James Bond used to drink those," the boor said. And then she touched his arm. It was a wonderful touch, and it seemed to send electricity up his entire side.
He raised his other arm towards the unlucky lad behind the bart. "Dude! Martini please!"
He turned back. "Have you seen may of my matches?"

Re: Chasing Ms. Wright
And just like that, with a sensual tone and the right pressing of skin, Karen seemed to be in as it were. Again, the tiniest part of her felt guilty; James was of a sweet, genuine sort, and Karen had but nothing but bad intentions. She'd put such feelings aside though, with the most minor of difficulties. She was still the cold hearted cow that stormed her way into AFW what felt to be a life time ago, and she wasn't close to changing that anytime soon. That, and part of her knew James wouldn't exactly struggle claiming a date after this whole fiasco with some other stunning broad.
"Martini sounds great~" Smirking, Karen's eyes purposefully grazed across the bar as if she'd just witnessed the many vintages and brands for the first time in her life. Had she had her way, it would of been the stiffest of lagers. Such wouldn't exactly help solidify the image of a cute beauty spending her first time in the bar however.
And now, she was presented with an opportunity to put the knowledge she'd tried to memorise to good use. After all, how good was a fan if they didn't know their hobby?
"Kasa...Kasamat...su? Is that how you say it?" Karen smirked, again with all the innocence she could muster. "That was a great match, what did it feel like facing a newbie?" Her knowledge now put into it's use, Karen's purposeful stuttering of the girls name and child-like curiosity over the match was again shown in full for her facade.
"OH! And there's that little thing called Showdown!" Her fake-smiling growing, Karen felt it necessary to prod the arm of the young Mr Wright, as if she felt the need to remind him the perks of having such a big spot in a pay-per-view.

Re: Chasing Ms. Wright
James smiled. His intentions were fairly clear, he felt, so he did not have any particular qualms about shamelessly hitting on his new brunette friend. It looked like she knew the game too, and was playing it like an expert. Or maybe playing him like an expert, he did not really know. Whatever the situation was, he was becoming more and more confident that he was going to get laid tonight, and that was the only reason he was out here.
"Kasamatsu," James said, with all the confidence of someone who actually knew what they were talking about, "yeah, she was my first win I had here in Japan. Certainly not going to be my last," he raised his glass and took a swig, and then smirked saucily. "It felt like it was going to be an easy win the whole time. But that is just how it goes when you are the long lost Wright brother, flying all over the ring." James took another sip of his beer, full of bravado now.
"Yeah, Showdown was pretty neat too. When you are on a PPV, you get your own dressing room, and they stock it all full of really neat shit. Never had real Swiss chocolate before. You should try it, it is quite nice." James turned his attention to the bartender, who placed her martini in front of her.
He turned his attention back to his new friend. "So that's enough about me. What about you?" James offered the woman's martini to her. It had an olive in it, and the aerial ace assumed that was a nice touch.

Re: Chasing Ms. Wright
If one was to recognise Karen, they would perhaps be amazed by the woman's apparent natural acting ability. Every smile seemed genuine, every laugh seemed honest, and every rub of the arm seemed accidental. There was no mistake; this was a woman who had practised this routine for this very moment to an absolute tee. There was to be no accidents. The payoff was simply too good to miss.
Raising her glass just a tad as James did too, Karen would be sure to take a small sip of the Martini, again using her apparent natural acting skills to shudder and squirm as if it was her very first taste of alcohol. Her skills would be put to the test though, with the mention of obviously being 'the Wright brother.' God, Karen wanted to punch someone right about now. Ideally Jessica.
But patience, Karen. Patience.
"That all sounds very top tier. I imagine you'll have that all the time when you have the tension world belt around your waist..." Again, her best impression of a fleeting fangirl was on display. To be honest, even Karen was starting to fool herself.
"Oh I'm just here for a friends wedding..." The story Karen had thought up early would finally come into play. 'Hot American Busty Chick' simply turning up to some random Japanese bar would of perhaps worked in the first place, but Karen wanted to leave absolutely no space for error.
"It's in a few days, so I thought I'd might as well see the sights. I do have a bit of a problem though..."
Turning her head to the bar, Karen soon adopted the persona of a woman in genuine sorrow.
In reality, she'd just set the bait. Hopefully, James took it.

Re: Chasing Ms. Wright
She said it. She said those words. Title belt. It had not even occurred to James that it was something within his reach. He had just gotten so acclimated to mediocrity, and the thought seemed to far out of reach. But now that a pretty girl had firmly implanted that idea into his head, he fixated on it. The aerial ace did not speak, instead going for a swig of his beer. It was still cold, still tasty. Maybe Japan was not so foreign and bad after all. He rotated the beer in his hand a bit, and shifted to the side.
"But uh, yeah, I mean, weddings are nice. I have only been to a few. Usually they have pretty solid bars, and the beer is free, so..." His smile was roguish. It did not look like this brunette was much of a drinker. That was a shame. Party girls were always a bit more pliable.
And then the whole tone of the conversation shifted. He was not much of a knight errant, but a lady in need was a lady in need. So he piqued up, and sat up a bit in his chair. "I am not really that good at fixing problems. But I would have no issue trying to help you out. What is it?"

Re: Chasing Ms. Wright
Had Karen knew of her success somewhat in setting James' mind ablaze with the thought of championship gold, she would of likely continued further, feeding ideas into the young mans head until all he could picture was himself at the peak of success. A wandering mind was one less likely to ask questions after all.
Again she'd take a swig, doing her best to impersonate a woman having never tasted the fruits of alcohol. Again the Martini went down smoothly, yet to appearances, James couldn't of been blamed for believing it was perhaps literally burning her throat. Had he known that the woman before her would have happily accepted and matched him in a drinking contest, the allure of some sweet innocent by-the-books soul would have been broken. When James sat up into his chair, apparently keen to bow to the mysterious woman's wishes, Karen couldn't help but smile.
"Well...my parents are going to be there..." A lie that briefly stung exiting the amazons mouth, given the state of her past. "And well...they'd really roll their eyes at me if I turned up without a plus one...so...do you think you could...?"
She'd leave it there, smile still apparent. If he finished the obvious question for her, it seemed James would be less likely to refuse.

Re: Chasing Ms. Wright
James was starting to come back to earth. The alcohol was making that descent a little bit slower, but the glimmering belt got duller and duller as James considered the bar more and more. There was no way he could get that, not any time soon at least. But this dark-haired woman in front of him, she was attainable. Very, very attainable.
"Oh yeah, I would not mind going with you. Not one bit. I mean, I need to go get my suit dry-cleaned, first," by that he meant finding a suit at all, "And yeah. Will there be an open bar? I am pretty good at weddings. We can tear up the dancefloor. When is it?" The excitement of getting laid by a smoking hot woman went straight to his head. "Because I may have to move some of my matches around."
James finished his beer. Tonight was already quite interesting, and now it was about to get a whole lot more interesting.
