Wanna Talk About It?

Mako Adachi:

Mako had been in some bad moods in her life but this one was one of the worst. She had just been in an intense showdown with the recently proclaimed “King” Daisuke Takeuchi, one that he had immediately backed out of leaving her high and dry. How that ass thought he could become king was beyond her, and why he thought he deserved to be called that was even more confusing. She really needed to let out some anger, so Mako would do what she usually did when pissed…go to the closest bar and pray that someone would start a fight with her.

Sadly the bar she arrived at was pretty empty and no one seemed to be sober enough to do…anything really. So now that she was at a bar, Mako would get a quick drink and head over to the dart board wearing jeans, an open black jacket, and a white top underneath. The shark would do remarkably better that she usually did when playing. The reason might of had something to do with the fact that she was imagining Daisuke’s stupid looking face right on the bullseye. It took a special kind of person to get her like this, and after the stunt he had pulled, Mako was considering a google search to hunt him down.

Of course she wasn’t that good at things like that, and eventually the shark just decided to blow off some steam at the bar. So here Mako was dying to let out some anger but nowhere to direct it. She would’ve tried playing darts with someone and bitching about her troubles to said person, but the bar was empty for thew most part save a few people that seemed too drunk for a conversation. So when the shark finally got tired of throwing darts at Daisuke’s stupid imaginary face, she would head over to the bar to get a few more drinks in her. Maybe if she waited long enough something would come along that she could do...

Speaking of bad times in ones life...

Appearing with a sour look equipped fully to her face, Diana Accera found herself slumping through the door of the bar. Her hair flowing mostly down her face as to hide her gaze, Diana's arms were pressed firmly to her pockets. She knew the chances of her being recognised even this close to the premises of AFW were mild at best, but she simply didn't want to risk it.

A baying fan right about now would likely earn a headbutt from the Italian.

Taking a seat, Diana would finally remove both face from obscurity and hands from pockets, as she signalled to the bar keep with a quick wave of her fingers. She didn't have to make eye contact, or even speak a word to the man, as it became clear such premises were Diana's regular. When her drink came to hand, a whiskey on ice, she'd quickly take a hefty swig as her rear took to the nearby stool.

Her success in both the ring and the world of sparring was recently astounding. In terms of personal life, well...

The drinks couldn't come quick enough.

Mako was just heading to the bar just as another woman took her seat, and for some reason she seemed familiar. Her face was mostly covered by her own black hair, but something was definitely familiar…maybe. It took a few moments but the shark finally recognized the newcomer as Diana Accera, a woman who was pretty much a badass in every way. She was actually a big deal to Mako, who had followed quite a few of her matches. If it wasn’t for her own bad mood this may have turned into a fan girl moment, which would’ve been embarrassing and it would’ve made a terrible first impression. So after her dismay to the fact that Daisuke pissing her off had actually helped in the long run had passed, the shark decided to play things cool and just take a seat next to the amazon at the bar.

From there she’d motion to the bartender for a drink while saying, “I’ll take a bourbon”. Then after taking a quick glance to her left, Mako could tell Diana wasn't happy. It honestly looked like the woman was in a worse mood than her. Now having second thoughts about striking up a conversation, the shark was unsure of what to do. She didn’t want to just give up, but she also didn’t want to piss off the woman. Mako continued to stay silent until the bartender handed her the drink, which prompted the shark to just go for it.

“Screw it” she would think to herself before shooting down a good bit of the bourbon. Then looking at the woman to her left Mako would say, “So do you come here often?”

“...What the fucking hell was that!?” Mako thought to herself in disbelief of what she had just said.

"Are you trying make a good impression on Diana or hit on her damn it!!!” the shark would think cursing at herself while maintaining a calm look on her face. Hopefully the amazon wouldn’t take it the wrong way.

Diana, in all her malcontent, obviously had no clue she was being fangirled over somewhat. Why would she be? She was no crowd favourite, nor one fans would deem a 'face.' She always vowed to put on the greatest of shows, but it was the personality of the wrestler that often made attendees turn into fans. She was respected, it didn't mean she was popular.

Whats more, now of all places? In such a quiet, dead end bar? Diana didn't expect it at all. Not that she cared.

Already halfway through her whiskey, she'd turn to partially face the figure that came into view. Part of her was expecting a male patron about to hit on her. Part of her wanted it to be. She needed something to punch.

To her mild shock however, the voice was feminine, albeit she still made no efforts to match said voice to her face. It didn't click to Diana that the woman's words might of been one based on attraction, but said figure seemed far too kind-voiced to earn a strike from the Italian regardless. When the figure was done speaking, she'd turn her attention back towards the bar, again raising her glass. Before she took another swig, she'd feel the need to break words however.

"Now isn't the best time..."

She had already forgotten about her own problems, but now Mako was about to die from what she had just said, while thinking hard about why she'd say that of all things. But Diana was definitely bothered by something that distracted her from the shark's statement, so the amazon simply tried to brush her off by saying now wasn't the best time. Now while Mako didn't want to bother the woman, she wasn't about to leave her alone to mope at a bar either. So after taking another drink of the bourbon, she'd try her luck at cheering the amazon up.

"Yeah...I can literally see depression radiating all around you...it's pretty intimidating to be honest..." Mako would say as she looked over Diana's body. Everything about her was screaming to be left me alone, but the shark wasn't going to just leave the amazon like this. It was like leaving sad puppy in the rain. But while the woman was definitely not fragile in any sense of the word, it was still hard to abandon her.

"...but seeing as we're in a bar, which is...you know?...the place people go to complain about and drown their problems...how about you and me have a little chat? And if it helps...drinks are on me tonight" Mako would say as she turned herself on the stool to face Diana. At this point she may have been pushing her luck, but the shark was always pretty quick to make friends. So hopefully the same would happen tonight...

Diana merely sat there, drinking yet still. She didn't need to be told she was depressed. Had the girl not had such a innocent aura, and cute frame to match, Diana would of likely snapped at this point. The girl appeared to mean well though, and Diana was not in the mood for making pointless enemies.

The mysterious figure seemed to be rambling yet still, but the positive intentions remained. And well, even if Diana was at her lowest, she wouldn't refuse a drink. Downing her own, she'd shake the empty glass to the bartender, who was already within ear shot of Mako offering to buy the next few rounds.

Without a word, she'd extend her leg, 'courteously' knocking the stool back away from the bar, so that there was space for a Mako-sized figure to slide in and sit down. In her current state, that was likely the kindest thing she'd be doing all night.

Mako watched as Diana shook her glass at the bartender, most likely meaning that she was accepting the offer for free drinks. Then the woman would slide a stool out for the shark, so with a smile the shark would move and right smack next to her new drinking buddy. Mako would finish off her drink soon after and wave for a new one, prompting the bartender to make their drinks quickly.

“Thanks and go crazy with the drinks, I’ve been meaning to go on a spending spree for a while now.” she would chuckle. Money was no object to Mako, after all, she came from a pretty wealthy family. One that could buy her another house if she wanted one. They weren’t the most…moral of people, but the “family business” never impacted her much, so Mako didn’t complain about where it came from.

Besides, she wasn’t involved in it at all and rarely spent any money they gave her because it always felt...odd to buy things with potentially dirty money. But if she spent it on others...then there was no problem in her mind. So in short spending a ton of cash on Diana seemed fine to her.

“Oh, my name’s Mako by the way. I’m actually in Tension too, but I’m just a rookie right now. Still it’s been pretty exciting so far.” the shark would say before realizing that she was starting to ramble.

“Sorry, rambling...so what’s got you down? Other wrestlers? Assholes in management? Something you think I can’t help with but will be trying to either way?” Mako would ask while flashing a smile. Hopefully she wouldn’t be crossing any lines while trying to Diana to open up.

Again the girl began to talk, but Diana was already too busy into her next whiskey to notice. Another half glass down, she'd put the glass to the bar once more, apparently satisfied if anything that everything was starting to literally numb over. The girl seemed innocent enough, and genuinely trying to help. Both paled in comparison to the fact the woman was buying Diana drinks without a catch of course.

Ever one to not talk about herself, a trait even more highlighted given her current state, Diana simply latched onto the girls mention of Tension.

"So who've you fought..." She'd garble, completely ignoring the girls questions at her. "Any good ones...?" Eyes turning halfway in the direction of the girl, as Diana gave the closes thing she could to interest with the girl.

Mako perked her head up a little as the gloomy amazon spoke. She hadn't expected an answer so soon judging from Diana's mood, but she was glad that it was going easier than expected. The woman seemed to be interested in her previous match ups, and the shark was always happy to talk about fights.

"Yeah I've had a few good fights. There was my first against this kid named Shido. He was...heh pretty damn short...but he was really strong for his size and it took a lot to put him down." Mako would say until her drink was handed to her. Then after taking a gulp she'd continue.

"Then there was that former wrestle angel Suzumi. Faced her in a steel cage surrounded by water...it was set up as a shark themed match cause my nickname is "The Shark". As for the fight itself, Suzumi took some work but I managed to win that one too." Mako would say before she took another drink.

"Anyway I don't wanna talk too long now...so now it's your turn. Tell me something about yourself. And remember, the longer you go on, the less you have to hear me talk." the shark would say with a chuckle.

So now Mako would fall silent and wait to see what Diana had to say. She wasn't really expecting much from the amazon, but the shark figured it was worth a shot.

Again, Diana was very specific with what she actually listened to. Mako didn't have to tell her to talk. She either would, or wouldn't. Whichever one she opted to do, she certainly did not need the Sharks permission. A little part of her was wiled up by such a demand, before her attention fixated on something else.

"Suzumi you say..." Putting down her drink, Diana would finally turn her head all the way, locking eyes for the first time with the girls own. And she certainly was not a bad looker. But for now, the focus was on one of the two Wrestle Angels Diana had actually met within AFW. She certainly wouldn't be talking about the other.
Not without punching something first.

"Little shits tougher than she looks. Who won that one?"
