Alaina Sanders vs. Misaki 'Maiden' Sakurazaki - Know Your Place

Maiden made her way into the ring, though she didn’t slide in under the ropes like some sort of undignified heathen. She entered like a proper lady. Walking up the steps, across the apron, one leg through the middle and top rope, then the other following close behind. The audience laughed at the sight, but she kept her head held high from start to finish. She was a lady and a representative of Gwendolyn Bettencourt and the organization she would one day lead. She would conduct herself as such.

A pity the same could not be said for the woman she was passing on her way the corner. Alaina was a great champion, that could not be denied, and Maiden had garnered some respect for her despite the ignoble way in which she claimed the title.

But to see her be so brash, dismissing her betters with such ease, was disheartening. The young wrestlers of today lack discipline, that much was clear, and it fell to the older ranks to help instill such values.  They couldn’t all be as refined as Gwendolyn, but they could try.

Maiden waited in the corner as the referee got into position and called for the bell. When it rang, she moved forward and slouched into a classic wrestling stance, working her way towards the middle and silently requesting a lockup with Alaina.

Alaina saw Misaki eager to lock up. This was a dream come true! Alaina quickly rushed in locking up with Misaki and showing her the extent of the amazons power. Alaina bent down, trying to maneuver to grab Misaki around the waist and lift, holding the maid beside her parallel to the mat.

Alaina quickly lift high and looked to bring Misaki crashing down to the match with a sidewalk slam!

Of course, Maiden had a plan before she locked horns with the woman who nearly twice her size. Her initial idea had been to duck under the lock up, come out behind the Amazon, and kick her legs out before she could react. A reasonable move, she felt, and one that made use of her superior speed.

Alaina, however, was no slouch in this department. Before Maiden knew what was happening, she was grabbed, hefted up, and slammed with all the ease of ragdoll, ,manhandled in one sudden, violent motion that left her flat on the floor.

She stayed there, dazed for a second, before instinct took hold and bade her to rise. She rolled off the side, grabbed the ropes, and tried to pull herself up as fast as she could, shaking off the impact as she rose.

A minor miscalculation. It would not happen twice.

Alaina backed off as Misaki made it to the ropes, pulling herself up. Alaina could not figure out for the life of her why someone would willingly work for Gwendolyn.

That was another question for another time. Right now there was a matchuge going on, and it was a match Alaina was intent on winning.

To that end once Misaki got off the ropes Alaina would rush in again and extend her arm looking to land a hard clothesline on the maid!

Alaina was coming her way again, storming towards Maiden like a runaway freight train. Powerful. Dangerous. Unstoppable. This time, however, the maid was ready for her.

First, she would deal with the clothesline. Maiden moved forward, and for a moment it seemed like the thunderous blow was destined to hit. Instead, she ducked at the moment, the exact last moment, and let it pass harmlessly overhead.

Secondly, as soon as she was clear and behind Alaina, she’d reach up, pull the back of the ex-champion’s head to her shoulder, then drop down flat on her back, attempting to hit the Amazon with a neckbreaker before she could hope to counter.

Alaina came in and swung. A swing and as miss. "Dann it ya little..Arrrgghh!"

The neckbreaker connected flawlessly. This was a direct result of the sharp mind of her foe. Misaki's fluid movement lead to a hard, painful fall for the amazon who now had the maid standing over her triumphantly! Alaina was stunned as she lay on her backnees, trying awkwardly to sit up and work her way to her feet.

It worked. Of course.

This was the reason Maiden promised to be a far more useful subordinate than Gwendolyn’s previous aide - not only could she provide logistical support and govern the heiress’ many maids, but she could be a boon inside the ring as well. Her skills had not diminished in her time away from the ring, and she was eager to prove that in so many ways.

She rose to her feet quickly, far sooner than Alaina did, and move around the blonde as she started to sit up. That would not do at all - the key to this fight was to keep the Amazon down as much as possible.

With that in mind, she strode over to Alaina front, spun about, then ran forward and came at the former champion with a running knee to the face.

Alaina sat up ready to get back to taking the fight to Misaki when a running knee plowed into her face with devastating effect!

Alaina hit the mat hard, her face throbbed as she covered it in her hands, kicking the mat in frustration.  The along, once one of the most feared women in Friction suddenly couldn't buy a win against top women ever since Valley took her title, establishing herself by a good deal as the superior Californian in an AFW ring, anot unofficial title Alaina used to believe was hers.

Now the muscular woman was having the fight taken to her by a maid, and she was so rocked that Alaina was not in any position to get up.

Maiden made a quick note to herself: she needed to invest in some kneepads.

Slamming her bare knee into Alaina’s skull, while more satisfying than she cared to admit in polite company, sent a shock through her bones. The  Amazon did not make a soft target, that was for certain. She’d have to wary of where her blows landed.

Regardless, her foe was down, laid out, stunned. Perhaps it was hoping too much, but Maiden dropped down, lifted up a leg, and leaned on her chest, going for a pin. It was unlikely that such a simple blow would earn her the win, but far stranger things occurred in the squared circle all the time. Such a decisive victory would surely prove her worth.

Alain a groaned as Misaki covered her for the pin! If she thought this would do the trick she was sorely mistakenot!

"ONE!"

Alaina thrust the smaller woman off her as hard as she could right after the referees hand hit the mat! She was still groggy and wobbly as she rose bit damn it she was on her feet again.

To try to keep Misaki honest Alaina tied to close the gap, swinging a kick into Misaki's obliques!
