Kaylee Rush vs. Makoto Aihara - Sensual Orientation

Makoto sighed as her opponent struggled in the hold, Kaylee’s frustration readily apparent. She knew firsthand how annoying this sort of thing could be, especially since she’d suffered through it often in her training. Keeping your opponent’s grounded, grinding away at their defenses, pouring on the It wasn’t exactly the most flashy form of wrestling, but it was effective.

To a point, at least. She wasn’t going to win any matches with headlock takedowns, and Kaylee’s kicking was starting to become more than just a mere nuisance. Feeling the purpose had been served, Makoto abruptly let go of the hold and pushed her away, getting her way back to her feet in short order. She moved back to the center of the ring and regained her stance, silently asking Kaylee to rise back up and resume.

Just like that, Kaylee was free, instantly rolling away and getting to her knees, rubbing her neck and keeping an eye on Makoto. Surprisingly, the pink haired girl had a smile on her face, as she got back up to her feet.

"Alright, alright, not bad! Let's go again!"

She said, her enthusiasm unbreakable as she got her arms up and stepped in closer towards Makoto, looking to lock up with the judo star!

For whatever reason, Makoto was expecting Kaylee to be mad when she came up. Not that she had any reason to think her opponent was a spoilsport, but that tended to be the reaction her style of wrestling brought out in people. They hated being countered, and she was all about countering.

But nope. Instead, she got a smile, one she eagerly returned. Refreshing change of pace. ”Right!” She nodded and moved in. ”Here I come!”

Makoto locked up with Kaylee, but only for a moment, before she tried to duck under the younger wrestler’s shoulder and come up behind her, pulling her arm into a hammerlock as she went.

Kaylee kept to her happy-go-lucky personality, excited to see more of what Makoto could do, and the woman didn't disappoint, quickly converting the lock up into tight hammerlock, bending the dyed-haired girls arm behind her.

"Hg! N-ot bad! Your still quick!"

The compliment was legitimate, Kaylee impressed with Makoto's speed, though, being quick herself, the bikini clad cutie trying to spin her way out of the hold!

Down and under, quick as a whip. The move might’ve looked simple enough - and it was, really. The sort of thing that any wrestler would learn in her first week. But that didn’t mean it was ineffective, especially when you applied it as deftly as Makoto could.

She had a dozen things she could work from it, but they all required a couple of seconds to set up. As it turned out, Kaylee was just a little too swift.

Before had the chance, the younger wrestler had rolled out of the hold with an impressive display, alleviating the pressure. Good work, and Makoto would doubtless give her a small clap when she was watching the video later. But, for now? All about business.

With that hold gone, Makoto let go of the arm and instead dropped down to her knee. She reached out, grabbed Kaylee’s leg, pulled it towards and pushed forward at the same the time, trying to put her flat on the mat with a single leg takedown.

Kaylee had only JUST gotten upright again...when Makoto took her down to the mat yet again, this time with a single leg, dropping her right onto her back, caught leg sticking upwards in Makoto's grip!

"Alright already!"

She exclaimed. With no ropes nearby, and doubting she'd be able to scoot back enough to reach one, Kaylee used her only real option, kicking at Makoto with her free leg, trying to hit something to make the girl back off!

Frustrating as it had to be for Kaylee, Makoto wasn’t letting up on her usual style. She could tell her opponent was reasonably skilled and energetic, but the Judo Babe was of a mind to put this to an end quickly - after all, the faster she beat her opponent, the less she’d had to worry about hurting her. She might even be able to get through this without cranking one of her more damaging submission holds.

But, maybe that was a forlorn hope. Kaylee was scrappy, and Makoto wasn’t able to capitalize before a boot smacked her flush on the face. It wasn’t a serious hit, far from the worse she’d ever taken - Dixie had a mean Big Boot - but it was enough to plant her flat on her butt and leave her a bit dazed.

It seemed luck was on Kaylee's side, managing to land a lucky shot and kick Makoto off of her before she could apply one of her famous submission holds.

Kaylee wasn't done pressing her luck however, the teen rolling backwards, heels over head, to get back on her feet and, upon seeing Makoto sitting on her butt, the pink haired scrapper took a couple steps forward, closing the distance between the two before swinging her right leg out, trying to smack her shin into Makoto's chest!

The crowd was firmly on Makoto’s side, and had been from the start. Nothing against Kaylee, but the Judo Babe was practically ring royalty. There were no shortage of Rumble Rose loyalists in the AFW crowd, and just about everyone respected her Olympic work.

So it was a small surprise that Kaylee was starting to get a few cheers from the rabble, admiring her skill and attitude. Makoto seemed to like her enough, after all, so why shouldn’t that rub off.

The former Olympian made a small note of this for later, but in the current moment, her thought were forward, as the fog in her brain cleared in time to see a boot coming her way. She managed to rise up a bit more and get her arm up, but that didn’t dull the blow nearly as much as she would’ve liked. The Judo Babe stood up, but she was stumbling a bit as she moved away from the ropes, her hands raised with a cautious guard.

While the crowd was clearly on Makoto's side, which was just to be expected for a new rookie taking on a veteran established through two different leagues, Kaylee was gaining a few cheers her and there. Maybe it was because of her outfit, but it could also have been because the two women just had a quick exchange of fast moves, with Makoto dodging Kaylee's attempted follow up kick and rolling back to her own feet, both women up and ready to confront each other, earning a brief applause from the crowd as they sized each other up again.


"Wow, can't believe I'm mixing it up with you like this Makoto! This is exciting, a real dream come true, you know that!?"

Kaylee exclaimed, hopping from foot to foot, waving Makoto on, willing to let the veteran make the next move as they made to go at it again!
