Debut Match! Yagyu vs Rook the Vigilante (Debut)

Yagyu wasn't able to buck the Vigilante off, much to her dismay. No, what happened was worse as she actually helped Rook gain more power to her punch. Yagyu tensed herself up and braced for impact but Rook's punch had more than enough strength to shatter through her arm guard and her punch would hit Yagyu directly in her face. Yagyu would shut her eye and cry out in pain. The punch hurt, it hurt a lot to the say the least. Some tears would form in Yagyu's shut eye but she wasn't going to lay there and take everything without fighting back. Just as Rook was pulling back her arm, Yagyu would grab it with her left arm, holding it down, knuckle to forehead, and pulled Rook downward. Yagyu would then attempt to sock Rook with a right hook to the face! If this succeeded and rolled Rook off of her, Yagyu would get back up and rubbed her face to soothe the pain.

After hitting such a devastating blow Rook was up and ready to follow it up immediately when she spotted the tears in her opponents currently closed eye, and though it might have only been for a moment, she hesitated. The previously infuriated expression which the vigilante had softened for the shortest time, as if the sight had reminded her of something long since passed, the fist which she had ready to strike Yagyu lowering a small amount in the process. Rapidly snapping out of it Rook went back to looking as pissed off as she did before, re-preparing her fist and attempting to punch her downed opponent once more when her attack was unexpectedly caught. Surprised that the blow had been trapped so skilfully, Rook didn't even get a chance to pull away before she was abruptly yanked in, Yagyu getting a decent amount of payback as she struck the vigilante with a decently powerful punch of her own! Knocked off of her foe by the force of the impact Rook did a short, uncomfortable roll before raising herself up onto her knees, doing as Yagyu was and gently rubbing her face to help the pain go away.

As Yagyu was able to escape, she noticed something was a bit off. Earlier when she was trapped under Rook, the Vigilante could've easily pulled her fist away and punch her again but she hesitated. Yagyu was able to catch a slight glimpse of Rook's face, and saw her eyes. Immediately she could tell, something wasn't right, she had just remembered something about her past and apparently Rook saw whatever it was when she was straddling her. Able to soothe the pain and getting back into a proper fighting stance, Yagyu would look at Rook with sadness in her eye. Looks like she wasn't the only one who had gone through something traumatic although Yagyu decided to pry a little.

"Why did you hesitate?" Yagyu called out Rook as she waited for her to get back on to her feet.

After gently massaging her face for a moment or so Rook to managed to return to her feet, her piercing gaze already locked on Yagyu, already preparing to strike when the girl asked her a question which caught her quite off guard. "I didn't." Was the vigilante's solitary response, both her further angered expression and tone of voice showing that whatever had caused her to hesitate was an incredibly sore topic, and even bringing it up would piss her off. Apparently set on not answering Yagyu's question Rook would charge for her once again, putting extensive amounts of care in staying safe as she seemingly ran straight past her, presumably to bounce off of the ropes.

However instead of running past Rook would stop just behind Yagyu, using her momentum to see if she could spin around and lock her elbow around her opponents neck for a sleeper-hold!

Yagyu narrowed her eye when Rook gave her her response. Yagyu knew something was up, she's seen that kind of face enough to know. She could obviously tell it was something personal but before being able to pry any more Rook would run towards her. Yagyu would ready herself for a counterattack but before she could turn around, Rook's arms snaked around her head and she would feel herself being lifted up slightly in a sleeper hold! Yagyu's eye would widen and she would grit her teeth as she kicked her legs aimlessly in the air, while prying at Rook's arm to free herself!

"Grah! Stop struggling!" Rook hissed in protest as she found it quite difficult to keep Yagyu confined within the tightness of the effective sleeper-hold, the vigilante having to shift her own weight around and wiggle her arms a bit to prevent her opponent from pulling them apart. Clearly very intent on not releasing her, Rook stepped up the sleeper by falling backwards onto the canvas, bringing Yagyu with her as she went. From there she used her other arm to lock things into place further, spreading her legs far apart before using them to wrap around Yagyu's midsection! Trapping her in a fashion which would take plenty of effort to break free of!

Yagyu continued to flail around, desperate to try and break free from the hold but she would let out a gasp when Rook would take her down on the canvas. Yagyu clutched onto Rook's arm as they squeezed harder, and tried to roll around but Rook would then wrap her legs around her waist, completely trapping her. Yagyu shut her eye and she grit her teeth as she kept on trying to break free from the hold, teetering left and right but as time passed she was losing strength. She would open her eye but everything was blurry, her breasts heaving up and down, threatening to slip out of her kimono. Her struggle would begin to die as she would be laying on top of Rook, weakly slapping at Rook's arms, pawing at them. Her tongue hung out slightly, panting for air, her eye started to roll back. Eventually, Yagyu would pass out on top of Rook, her arms falling limp on the canvas and her face red from the sleeper and her struggle, her kicking slowing down to a halt as she laid completely still on top of the Vigilante.

With both girls stamina drained and such a potent sleeper having the opportunity to be locked in so tightly Rook could tell that this one was probably over. "You fought well. Lose knowing that much." The vigilante spoke out in a surprisingly gentle manner to help console Yagyu while she continued to put the shorter girl to sleep, unable to lessen the tightness of her cast-steel grip for even the shortest moment as that's all her opponent would need to struggle free. As the fire of her opponents fight began to gently die down Rook just waited for the inevitable, only having to keep everything locked into place for a few moments longer before the referee rightfully called for the bell, Rook immediately releasing Yagyu once it was sounded. Oddly enough for somebody who had previously appeared to be so angry, Rook did not just carelessly push her now unconscious foe off of her, far from it in fact. The vigilante carefully slid herself backwards so Yagyu wouldn't bang her head against the canvas, instead she was gradually moved down until she was rested against the mat, perfectly safe.

With her theme now playing through the speakers Rook sat next to the unconscious Yagyu for a moment, quickly leaning over to fasten the others girls previously loosening kimono, making sure that nothing slid out of place without the girl wanting it to. With a sigh Rook finally stood back up, the referee attempting to raise her arm but stopped by the fact that she took a step back. "No thanks." The vigilante uttered under her breath, not hanging around to gloat about her win as she prepared to exit the ring and head back to the locker-room.

As Yagyu slowly faded and fell unconscious in the ring. Manager and Abigail left the Observation Deck to pick up Yagyu. On their way there, Manager and Abigail ran into the Vigilante. Manager would give her a smirk and tip his fedora, bowing to Rook. "Congratulations Rook. Welcome to AFW," Manager said before recomposing himself and walked past her to hurry and pick Yagyu up. But as he passed the Vigilante, Manager would whisper to Rook, using her name to get her attention, "I understand you do things on your own terms because you despise evil deeds done. But do be careful. Some people don't exactly like others meddling in their business, so I would watch yourself if I were you. And, thank you, for fastening Yagyu's kimono. See ya around -" Manager waved with his back turned as he walked out to pick up Yagyu.

While Manager left, Abigail remained and stared at the Vigilante with her cold eyes, almost as if she wanted to say some thing.

"Hm?" Rook grumbled briefly as her train of thought was cut off by the fact that she saw Manager and Abigail walking towards her, presumably heading down to the ring to pick up Yagyu. Dramatically slowing her walking speed until she reached a halt the vigilante would meet with the duo, apparently far less annoyed than she was when she went into the ring for one reason or another, far more willing to listen. "I understand." Were Rook's only words in response to Manager's well-meaning warning. What he said was true, doing as Rook planned held a lot of danger, even more than usual, but it was a risk that she was more than willing to take. "Not a problem." The vigilante finished off in response to Manager's thank you, turning around to watch him leave for a moment, finding herself rather curious of his origins.

After a moment or so of looking back Rook turned and took a step forward, preparing to continue moving when she abruptly halted, realising that Abigail hadn't left with Manager, and was instead standing solid, staring her down. "If you've got something to say, say it." Rook huffed while staring at Abigail straight back with her own fire-imbued gaze, not willing to back down.
