Lei Cheng
Lei Cheng
Name: Lei Cheng
Age: 20
Height: 5'5
Weight: 139lbs
Alignment: Tweener (Jobber)
Nationality: Chinese
Entrance Theme: Theme Of Rufus – Street Fighter IV
Style: Wear and demean his opponent down mentally, before using his 'supposedly' superior strength and speed skills to overwhelm their and come out on top!
Preferred Matches: Up for any kind.
Endurance: 5/5
Strength: 2/5:
Speed: 2/5
Defense: 2/5
Technique: 2/5
Favoured Moves: DDTs, Elbow Chops, Splashes, Spears, Figure Four Leg Lock
Signature:
Quick Errand Run: Lei swings his arm out to deliver a series of quick chops to an opponent's chest. If he's successful and has them reeling, he'll run to the ropes and rebound, performing a dropkick to nail them in the chest and send them down.
Finisher:
Please Accept!: Lei whips out one of his business cards from his pocket and holds it towards the opponent. The card advertises his low priced, multi-varied services. The aim of the move is to distract the opponent long enough for Lei to tackle them down and perform a quick roll up pin, but to this day it has yet to debut...mainly because no opponent has ever been fooled by the business card. But it's bound to work sometime, surely! Who can resist such an amazing offer?! Often done in a moment of desperation when Lei is on the losing end of a match.
History: Lei is originally a penniless family in rural China, his parents taking in laundry from around the village in order to make ends meet. As such, his childhood was filled with ambitions of a luxurious lifestyle and having whatever desire he had granted. His parents tried their hardest to appease him, but could never quite scrape the money to get what he wanted. His clothes were often reused and he had to amuse himself with things like wooden sticks for toys. Lei emerged from his childhood eager to do whatever he could to break free of his peasant lifestyle.
He started by going door to door, offering his services for any odd jobs that people needed doing. To get people convinced to hire him, Lei often did the most tedious work for as little as possible. Cleaning bathrooms with tooth brushes, weed cutting with scissors, that sort of thing. It soon grew him a reputation for being cheap yet reliable. He never earned tons to become wealthy and famous like he dreamed of, but it was a start, and he soon began to travel into the city to continue scoping out odd jobs while presenting himself to people as a hard labourer available at affordable prices! Very affordable, in fact. He even got into the habit of making his own business cards as a way of advertisement.
While in town, Lei caught sight of a poster advertising a wrestling match challenge, to take on an imposing heel for cash. The youth jumped at the chance and into the ring, although was subsequently destroyed. Still, his ability to sell was so well-lauded that the promotion gave him more money than they had advertised...and that was what gave Lei the idea to make it big in the world of wrestling! If losing gave him that much, just imagine the kind of cash winning would net him! Filled with dreams and hopes of becoming a star of pro wrestling, Lei scrounged up what little purse money he had to buy a ticket to Japan, travelling there and enlisting in AFW to kickstart his career...
It just might take a few bumps and bruises before he reaches the top...if ever.
Personality: Lei emits arrogance and confidence in spades, looking down on all opponents no matter their accolades or size. He loves to taunt and mock others, and is something of a goof ball, often unintentionally mind. While he never grumbles openly about the work he used to do, he does believe he's capable of far greater feats in life and desires to be rich and famous above all else. However, his over-confidence has led him into several confrontations, none of them working out in his favour. Still, one can't fault his determination, and he'll keep climbing back up until he's well and truly defeated. Some find it irritable how long he'll hold on. Lei is also easily swayed by offers of wealth and moments in the limelight, especially if he can get a good connection out of it. He will gladly follow the order of anyone who makes such a proposal to him, such as interfering in a match or taking someone's spot if they request it.
Appearance:
The left image shows Lei in his standard ring gear, albeit he removes the jacket of his tracksuit to go shirtless. The right displays his entrance gear - despite the flashiness, it's all cheap knock-offs he secured from a thrift store.
Likes:
-Clothing from wealthy and famous brands
-Expensive sake
-Being fanned
-Interacting with celebrities
-Limo Rides
Dislikes:
-Discounted items such as clothes and alcohol
-Doing work for zero pay
-People who scrunch up his business cards
-Ramen
-Leeks
RP Hooks:
Need someone to squash an arrogant jobber? Look no further than Lei! Alternatively, do you need to make use of his services at an extremely low price? Can do! And are you particularly wealthy and famous in the AFW circuit? Expect Lei to try and get a meeting with you!
Trivia:
-Lei once had a girlfriend who he saw as a convenient personal ATM dispenser. The relationship lasted half an hour.
-Lei is terrible at saving – the majority of what he earns ends up on manga, anime and gaming, which he has become hooked on since arriving in Japan.
