I'm probably echoing more thoughts than I'm contributing here, but if you feel it's necessary to leave, that's your choice and I think everyone can respect it. But I see no reason to think anyone here genuinely doesn't like you, your characters or your threads. Personally I've enjoyed every one of the threads we've done, and I've enjoyed reading several others you've done in the past. That was why I reached out to you and requested an RP with you soon after I got started here, and why I was so glad you were up for it. You're a respected and appreciated member of the community here, so please don't let anyone make you believe otherwise.

I wrote a wall of text for a response, but decided not to post that. I'll just point out the fact that I was never able to set up a storyline I wanted after all the years I'm here. A lot of my one off threads had turned from somewhat interesting to pretty bland quickly as well. That should say something about my compatibility with other people here.

Edit: I'm not saying it's everyone else's fault, by the way. I'm quite aware that it's a self issue for the most part.

Not for the overly sensitive people:

I had plenty of threads were people had not the courage or the interest to tell me they do not want to continue it. It´s ok, I asume they have reasons and move on.

Two times I was blantantly ignored by my respective posting partner after setting up a thread I had long thought on. Combined, both of these people have more posts than I have, so you can´t say it was a newbie loosing interest in the site. You never ignored me.

I arranged something with Ise some years ago. At first, it was a pretty big success, but then it all turned into something I had to drive exclusively on my own until I got sick and itred of doing everything on my own and just stopped when the time was right and nobody was stuck in everything. We are pretty close in our ideas what we find entertaining, but sadly we probably can´t communicate it good enough to find an arrangement with the respective other or find a hair in the soup. We both turned down ideas from the other, but that does not diminish my opinion about you.

If I arranged POW matches, I have to poke people to make a follow up thread. I did it a few times, then I stopped doing POW matches. We had a POW match if I remember well, and I did not have to poke you for the follow up thread.

What I want to tell you with this wall of text is that the largest majority of people here are consumers, not creators. If it does not fit their tast 95%+ if it is not a one shot thing, they won´t do it.

That is all I have left to say.

PS: If I think someone is rude or even socially inadequate, I am not afraid to write this. I did this when Bluemouse asked for honest opinions. I posted my honest opinion here, and i think you´re neither.

I dont really have much interest in the matter. I will get that out there first, but the idea that people are not interested in you seems flawed. I know that I tried to set something up with you before I became ill and nothing came of it.

some people seem to only want a small number of threads while others like me want to develop characters more and will take on 10+ threads at a time. (I think I have 7 going right now?)

This looks like something you need to sort out on your own. I will say nothing more as I am not entirely the most motivational of speakers when it boils down to it.

I'm getting the impression this is less of a "I don't think people like me" thing and more of a "I just want attention" thing, so I'm backing out.

You have over 10,000 posts, clearly people have been and continue to be wanting to work with and do things with you, and clearly people you have worked with like you and enjoy working with you.

If you haven't been able to do ANY stories YOU wanted in all this time, then you're either not making effort to bring them up to people, or your not marketing them right, or you've been letting yourself be a pushover.

If, despite the above, and despite people here stating they enjoy you and your work, and despite your many matches and threads, you feel your just incompatible with anyone here, then frankly, that sounds like your problem, and something you need to look into and figure out for yourself, not make some bs poll thread where you basically say its everyone else's fault for whatever issues you are apparently having.

If you feel you have to leave, be honest, with yourself if no one else, about why you feel you have to.

Does saying this make me sound like an asshole? Probably. But it seems you feel people aren't being honest with you.

This is an honest response. How can you tell? Because, since we've never interacted and aren't friends, I don't care enough about you to bullshit you.

Gotta agree there. You have over 10,000 posts in 4 years for pete's sake, the idea that nobody is coming to you is pretty unlikely.

Look, I'm not trying to bust anyone's balls here. This not the first, nor will it be the last, time somebody on here has pulled the "I feel bad and want attention, and it's in no way my fault that I feel bad, because I'm perfect, so it has to be everyone else's fault" card.

So do what you need to do, but don't do it under false pretenses. You said yourself nobody is being mean to you or trying to drive you out, so it's basically your decision if you should leave or not, for your own reasons, not because of anybody else.

If you want to do matches, go look for them. I pesronally am a simple PM away from setting something up.
