Shot in the Dark: The Black Racer vs. Holly Matheson [debut match]

Holly's face reddened, as she tried to grind the Black Racer in the side headlock. It didn't seem she was wearing him down after all. Even worse, his reminders of her past failures- in particular, Killer King, who had made her scream out a submission with disturbing ease- left her suddenly feeling very vulnerable.

"Q-quiet, you!" Holly said, before she felt The Racer's hands brace along her back. Before she could do anything, however, The Black Racer hoisted her up, into the air. "Wait! No!" Holly protested, but all she could do was kick her legs and flail her arms in futility. She hung there in the air for a moment, her helplessness on full display to the AFW crowd. Then, in a flash, the Racer dropped her hard!

Holly's spine hit the Racer's knee, drawing a high-pitched squeal of pain from her lips. Holly lay draped out, arms and legs spread wide, spine arched and chest thrust up into the air. "Owiee~!" Holly whimpered, her eyes and mouth wide opened. The backbreaker had done its job, and left the British Bombshell helpless in her opponent's grip.

As the backbreaker connected, The Black Racer let Holly lay on his knee for a second before flipping her onto the ring. But as she landed on her belly unmoving, he said, "Come on, no dilly dallying". Grabbing her shoulders, he would try to lift her to her feet. "Come on Holly, this is just getting good." the racer said trying to get some fight into her. Then thinking about her speech of winning this match, he thought that maybe she just didn't think she could win anymore.

"Listen Holly winning is important and all...." the racer said shaking his head, sounding much less demonic. "...but what's really important is that the fans are happy, and that we can go our separate ways feeling good about giving it our all..." he explained to her as he grabbed her arm. "...and while that's just my personal opinion, you need to stop feeling bad about yourself and just get it together like I did!" he exclaimed as he attempted to whip her into the corner once again. Hoping she could give him a better challenge than this.

Holly could only lie there, twitching helplessly, draped out across The Black Racer's knee. When he dumped her onto her belly like trash, the British Bombshell could barely muster a reaction. With a quick, sharp whimper, she fell to the mat. "B-bloody hell," she gasped, trying to work past the massive pain. As the Racer got his hands on her again, Holly tried to struggle back. However, sharp spasms of pain running from her spine to her body made her powerless to resist him.

The Brit was surprised to hear the Racer sounding slightly different. It seemed as if the Racer was taking a moment ot tell her to try her best, stop beating herself up. Holly scowled, through her pain. It wasn't bad advice, but on a night like tonight- a night where Holly was once again woefully outclassed, it seemed- it was the last thing she wanted to hear!

"You condescending- aahh!" Holly's ungrateful rebuttal was cut short, as the Racer whipped the helpless girl into the corner turnbuckle. Yet again, Holly slammed into it full force. Writhing in pain, the Brit eventually sank her soft body into the supporting structure. She shook her head, wiping her face clean. Trying to brace herself, Holly knew the Racer was about to come rushing in again- she just had to try and be ready, for him. Sighing heavily, however, Holly strongly suspected that he would find her- yet again- shamefully unprepared to keep up!

Even with his best attempt at a pep talk, The Racer could not get Holly out of her negative mind set. She just kept saying how condescending he was while he whipped her into the corner. Or maybe she was just too beaten up, and couldn't fight back for much longer.

Either way, though, The Racer had to keep going. Taking a few steps back, he would get into a runner's stance. "Well let's get it over with then..." he said as he charged her. Flying in, he would attempt to jump and hit her with a double knee strike! Whether she decided to do anything about it was up to her.

Holly shook her head, trying to clear the pain. The Black Racer was kicking her curvy ass all over this ring, and if she didn't want to end this night in complete humiliation, she was going to have to start fighting back! Still writhing against the turnbuckle, Holly chewed her lip, and gripped the ropes. The British Bombshell braced herself, hoping she could find the strength to mount an offense, before her terrifying opponent could finish her off for good!

Opening her eyes, Holly was shocked to see him barrelling at her! "Aah!" she cried out. Acting on instinct, Holly spun out of the corner as the Racer threw himself at her knees-first, hoping to send him slamming into the turnbuckles! With her body running on fumes, Holly used the rope to brace herself in one hand, as she balanced on one boot. Swinging her foot with as much strength as she could, Holly swung a roundhouse kick right at the Racer's back!

And so The Black Racer came flying in and... "What the fuck!" he said as Holly spun out of the corner. Catching himself on the ropes as his knees connected to the turnbuckle, he would say "Now that's more like..aaackk!" he shouted as Holly roundhouse kicked his back.

Even with the sharp pain in his back he laughed saying, "Hahaha...somebodies been watching Road House!" Obviously Holly was in worse shape than him, but he didn't care this just got fun. Jumping on his toes a bit he would ready himself for Holly's next move, figuring that she could keep this interesting.....

And then completely changing his mind he said, "On second thought, punching randomly always works! Bring it Swayze!" Then he proceeded to follow his broken logic, as he tried randomly swinging at Patrick Swayze...what?...No Holly! Damn how'd he get those two mixed up? Wait did he call her that? Oh who cares she'll probably think he was taunting her....

Holly smirked, as her kick found its mark. She was still visibly shaken by the beating she'd been getting thus far, but now was her chance to turn things around! The crowd started to come alive for her too, some of her fans lifting their voices to help her rally- maybe this would be the time she would finally turn things around!

Still, The Black Racer was laughing. Holly's smile twisted into a lip curl of pure confusion. No matter how she pummeled this guy, he seemed to keep making jokes. That got Holly's guard up, which turned out to be the proper response. The Racer's arm swung out for a punch, and Holly lifted her own arm to block it. She winced, the impact of his blow hitting her arm still hurting, but it was much better that, than her face!

"Keep talking," the British Bombshell said, with a glare, "we'll see how much you're joking around when I've got you pinned to the mat!" Luckily, Racer's swing had been wild, or Holly likely would have eaten it. The mad bastard was quick! Acting quickly herself, Holly shifted her arm, then, twisting from a block to a wrist lock. Gritting her teeth to work through her pain, Holly swung a leg up. This time, she would deliver a hard kick to the Racer's abdomen, hoping to soften him up for something bigger!

She blocked his first punch, but the racer knew he wouldn't do better. Sadly he couldn't get the chance to as Holly twisted his arm into a wrist lock. "Ow ow ow... Ha ha now your getting ackkk!" he laughed until Holly delivered a kick to his abdomen. "Ha...ha" was all he could manage as he wheezed and gasped.

That kick did some damage to his ribs for sure, as he backed up from Holly. "You can beat and pin me all you want, but trust me Holly, that is not gonna make me stop joking." he said starting to ramble, grabbing onto the top rope for support. "Cause while you have better training, experience, and well sanity, I have one thing you don't..." pausing for a second, he would then say "And that is the fact that I've got no interest in actually winning!"

He didn't care if this confused Holly, hell she could use this on herself! "I came in here to have a good time, and give the fans a show! Yet you make it seems like winning is all that matters here. Well it's not, so come on! Try your worst!" The Black Racer yelled, with what could just be a plan in his head....

Holly chewed her lip in determination, as her boot sank into the Racer's abdomen. She had taken some hard, body-rocking blows early on, but it seemed like she was going to be able to stick in there, and prove herself capable of hanging with the strange newcomer. All she had to do was keep focused, keep herself centered, and rely on her fundamentals to see her through!

"I've got you now," Holly warned, as the Racer went back to the ropes. "You think you can just keep treating me like a joke, you bastard? Because I'm about to show you why winning's important- it hurts a hell of a lot less than losing!"

Holly was hurting, but the rising feeling like she actually had a chance was pushing her on. Holly had a lot of pain to push back and fight through, unfortunately. The British Bombshell's back and skull were aching, making her slower, weaker. So instead, Holly tried to think about how much she needed this win, physically and emotionally. Arm extended, Holly was aiming to level him with a running clothesline over the top rope, aimed right for the Racer's neck. Eyes clenched shut in determination, Holly put all of her hopes into that clothesline, looking to knock her strange opponent over the top rope, and send him tumbling out of the ring! Holly's fans rallied behind her, cheering as the posh and pretty Brit gave everything she had to this attempt to take control of the match!

The Black Racer listened to Holly, hearing her talk about "hurt". She had no idea what real pain was, though. How the worst of pains didn't come from getting beaten down, from having your mind torn apart, or even from letting the people you love down. No, he knew that true pain was when all of the above came to wreck your life at once.

The things he went through, he wasn't in the mood to say tonight. But if he could find a way to laugh about those things, to even find the strength to walk on his own two feet, well then there wasn't a thing on this earth he couldn't take! As Holly came in for a clothesline, attempting to knock him out of the ring, The Racer knew just what to do.

With a few mere feet between them, The Black Racer dropped down, pulling the top rope down with him. There was no chance left for Holly, he thought, as she was going too fast. "Now this will hurt..." The Racer said, knowing this would be painful for the girl. Both physically and mentally...
