Rafael Vega (Debut) vs Matthew Matthias, A Judoka Makes His Move!

Rafael's back was to Matthew as he celebrated and showed off for the crowd. He'd never had that much attention and praise showered on him in his life, so he was understandably a bit overstimulated and distracted. He didn't even notice Matthew had left the ring or even jumped back in until he could feel the vibrations from him running across the mat.

"Duuude! That was so--hrkk!" Rafael was cut off from expressing his enjoyment of the match as Matthew grabbed him by the throat and started to squeeze. Rafael was bent over the ropes and off-balance, and his shorter arms couldn't reach Matthew's torso to do anything about it. No one told him he was going to be attacked after a match, was this part of AFW's branding? The wild and bloodshot look in his foe's eyes was dead serious, and the joyous look on Rafael's face started to turn into fear. Wait......was he actually trying to kill him!?

Oh, the blonde king was watching, all right. How could Kamo Ryusaki not come to get a front row seat to watch the boy that he pulled up out of nothing make his debut in the AFW -- against the guy that, let's face it, seemed to be nothing more than a jobber! Whatever his name was. Kamo couldn't even remember what letter it had started with. He'd brought Casimir with him just in case the guy decided to go on one of his crazier moments, and Rafael needed someone to back him up. It was lucky enough that he had, because as soon as Rafael had gotten the win, something about his opponent just seemed to snap -- and before he knew it, Rafael was being throttled.

Kamo watched him for a moment, as Casimir began to stand up, closing the metal chair that he was in before he looked over at his boss. With an almost imperceptible nod in his direction, Casimir was off. He pulled the chair up and jumped over the railing, moving to slip into the ring as Kamo slowly stood up. Casimir was already in the ring, sliding up behind Matthew before Kamo had even reached it -- so that metal chair swung up to slam straight into Matthew's back!

The blonde pulled himself onto the outside of the ropes, pulling the top rope up before he stepped in, for once not being booed out; Matthew going psycho made Kamo a necessary evil. But they weren't being cheered on either. "Do you know who the fuck you're messing with, you little plebeian shit? Rafael here is my charge, so if you mess with him, you're messing with me. And Casimir here too. And…well, I sure hope you need a reminder of the shit we can do to you if you don't play nice with us. Though it looks like Casimir is more than happy to remind you."

Matthew could feel Rafael's pulse slowing in his hands as he gripped down tightly, a maddened grin on his face as he did so. He began to choke harder and harder until suddenly he felt the cold hard steel smack directly into his back. Matthew initially slumped down from the pain, but ignored it and went straight back to the choke, growling as he did! He turned around to see his attacker and his grin suddenly faded as he noticed Kamo, and his attack dog Casimir staring straight at him. Matthew looked as Kamo stared at him with an angry grin and proclaimed that Rafael was working under him, and threatened to hurt him once more as Casimir also looked on, steel chair at the ready.

Matthew stared at them for another moment, he wanted to hurt the judoka so badly, but he knew he was fucked in a 3vs1 situation, so he slowly and finally released Rafael from the choke. He stared at them for another few seconds before slowly leaving the ring, eyes not leaving either man. He slowly began to walk backwards up the entrance ramp, specifically staring at Casimir as he did, that disgusting smirk on his face onced more. It wasn't over between them two, Matthew was going to make sure of it.

Shit! Shitshitshit! This was bad! Rafaels brain told him as the oxygen deprivation began to poke little holes in his vision. Where was the referee? Why was no one helping him? Did they think Matthew was just acting? The feverish struggles that Rafael made to try to slam Matthews arms down so he could get closer were getting weaker, his throat was burning even more, he was really not going to last very much longer.

Cue the miraculous intervention of god knows what, Rafael could barely understand that someone had gotten into the ring, but he couldn't understand what was being said. The world was so blurry, it felt like all color and detail were being drained by the second. Whatever was happening, it made Matthew stop choking him for a moment and Rafael made an ugly hoarse gasp for air. The break didn't last long nor did he really even get the full inhale as Matthew was back to choking him right away. As fate would have it, this second choking attempt did not last quite so long as the first. The moment he was finally released, Rafael dropped to his knees to cough and splutter hoarsely like a fish out of water. Never had he been so painfully and frightfully close to illegal incapacitation. Needless to say, it was zero fun.

Once his breathing was somewhat under control and he stopped hacking like some smoker, Rafael was finally able to look up to see what had saved him, as there was no way Matthew just backed off on his own after that look of real insanity. To his genuine surprise, it was none other than his benefactor, Kamo Ryusaki! The young judoka hooked an elbow on the top rope as he pulled himself up to a shaky stand, his other still hovering over his reddened throat. "Mr. Ryusaki! Mr. Casimir! I....you-..you saved my life!" Rafael coughed as he tried to get out the words despite the stinging in his lungs and throat. His words might have been an exaggeration, but they sure didn't feel that way to him. The innocent looking expression of pure gratitude on his face filled up the Jumbotron, and he wanted nothing more than to hug the blonde and blue haired men to death for their help, but that would probably embarrass them more than it would express his thanks.
