24/7 Championship Match - Carmen Rodriguez (C) vs. Soledad 'Sola' Vega - All Good Things

Carmen could not get her t-shirt on fast enough. The laughter, the silliness, the whole scenario was so far from what she’d expected to go down tonight, it was insane. Sola had wrapped her around her little finger with ease, made her nerves dance, and no matter what happened tonight, her luscious young opponent would always have a small win over her.

She spotted Vegan from corner of her eye, saw that little wink, and groaned. If Army ever heard about this, he’d never let her live it down.

Carmen couldn’t remember the last time she was so relieved to see a referee, as she started to usher the crowd back, making them clear the dance floor. The music stopped, and all eyes were suddenly focused straight on them.

Cameras live.

Millions watching.

It was time.





”Attention!” The DJ, a short woman lime-green hair and comically large sunglasses, stood up and spoke, her voice echoing throughout the Downward Spiral. ”The following is a match to determine who will be either the new or continuing Tension 24/7 Champion!”

The crowd clapped and hollered, eager to not just see a Tension match happen in their midst, but a championship match at that. The DJ waited for them to die down, then started playing a clubified remix of Carmen’s theme, Buster Voodoo.

”Introducing first,” The DJ began and gestured towards Carmen, clearly not familiar with wrestling tradition on introduction orders. ”From Bayoman, Puerto Rico. She is the only silver-medalist in wrestling today, and your 24/7 champion. Ladies and gentleman - Carmen Rodriguez!”

Carmen stepped forward with her arms raised as a spotlight shone down, soaking in the crowd’s appreciation. She bounced on her heels and did some light stretching, waiting for Sola’s introduction next. And thinking that she desperately wanted a cold shower.

Sola took a few, heartrate-balancing breaths. Reaching back, she scooped her drink off the table and down it in a single go. This was so much more intense, so much more immediate than her usual pre-match rush. Really, given everything that had happened between them, Sola was amazed that Carmen hadn't taken that opportunity to bust Sola over the head, before the match even started. Come to think of it, Sola was actually surprised she hadn't done the same.

The ref was waving her in, now, seemingly impatient with the challenger's dawdling. Whatever. Sola grinned and rolled her eyes. Making sure that the eyes of as many bystanders as possible were still firmly on her, the teenage street fighter wet her lips, and made the walk toward her opponent.

Sola sashayed her way across the floor, hips swaying generously from side to side. The fighter ran her fingers through her long black locks, pulling them their full length above her head before letting them tumble softly down her shoulders, once again. Showing off her hair's length, body and shine before gambling it all for the title.

Sola couldn't help but smirk, as the DJ introduced the champion first. Not good karma for Carmen, she hoped. She listened to the cheers and hollars of support for the champion, as her introduction was given. Sola chewed her lower lip, lightly, watching the fighting fit champion bounce on her heels, and stretch out that lean figure of hers ...

Then, it was Soledad's turn. "And, the challenger," the DJ opened, as the music transitioned into a remix of M.I.A.'s Bad Girls, "from Ponce, Puerto Rico ... Soledad Vega!" Not to be outdone, Sola struck a pose for the fans. Kicking her stance wide, leaning into one of her hips, Sola bent down straight at the waist. Extending her back, Sola swept her torso forward quickly. Hands to her lips, the latina street fighter blew a kiss to the fans in attendance, while giving them a generous view of her ample chest, swaying softly in her flimsy top. Just for emphasis, mid-way through her sweeping bow, Sola slowed down and made certain to lock eyes with the champion. Then, Sola brought herself back up to standing, raised her arms for any response the fans might give her, and waited for that opening bell to finally sound.

As Soledad’s introduction came to a close, the DJ began to play a fast-paced, high-pitched tune, setting the mood for the fight that was about to come. Carmen barely noticed it - a good beat, but she was more focused on the woman winking her way at the moment. Her eyes hadn’t left Soledad since the referee began speaking.

She responded to Vega’s little taunt by taking a deep huff, stepping back, and balling her fists. Blocking out all thoughts about Soledad's teasing Ignoring thte way her hips swayed, her hair bounced, her breasts threatened to spill out for all the world to see at a moment's notice...

Gah. Damn it.

The referee stepped between them. Looked left. Looked right. Nodded her head.

”Fight!”

Carmen dashed forward the second that the referee was out of her way, coming towards Soledad with a mad high speed charge. Fists tight, eyes forward, guard raised - she moved like she was back in the middle of a boxing ring, closing the gap in rapid fashion.

She came into range and opened fire on Soledad, throwing out a couple of left jabs that would definitely knock the smirk off her sexy face if they connected.

Sola smiled, as the music got underway. This was a new experience for her, and the young street figther wanted to take it in. Not kicking someone's ass in a club, of course, that was old hat. Having an officially sanctioned championship bout in one, that was new. A championship bout against her own hometown hero, no less. Sola took in the music, the sight of the crowd, the lights, everything. Grinning, Sola resolved that this fight was going to be one for the books.

Keeping her eyes locked with Carmen's, Sola gave a teasing lick of her lips, and waited for that opening call. Sashaying her hips into a fighting stance, Sola raised her arms. She kept it loose, wanting to stay mobile and adaptable. For all of her smack talk, her taunting and her intimate teasing, Sola did have enough respect for Carmen that she wasn't going to be taking this match lightly.

And sure enough, Carmen was on the move the second the referee gave her the space! The crowd gasped, and Sola couldn't help but shake her head in disbelief. She had managed to get under the champ's skin, it seemed, and now Carmen was coming out swinging!

Sola got her arms up, barely managing to block the first jab. The second, however, got through her weak guard. Carmen's fist connected with Sola's face with a loud smack, sending the challenger stumbling back. Shaking her head, Sola could hear fans in the crowd reacting, cheering the champ or mocking the challenger. Face reddening, Sola determined that she'd make Carmen pay for that. Once the club stopped spinning around her.

Carmen could hear the crowd’s gasp, even over the pulsing, pounding beat, as she quickly slid along the dance floor. Not that they didn't think she was capable of such a feat, but they hardly expected it. Typically, Carmen prided herself on a more measured approach to combat than her brother, trying to take her time, make her opponent come to her.

Not tonight. Maybe that had been the plan before, but now Carmen wanted this over with in a demanding fashion.

Soledad managed to block her first jab, but the second one found the purchase Carmen was looking for, and worked better than she’d hoped. Her opponent was staggering back now, firmly on the defense, and both her wrestling and boxing training told her how to handle such an opening.

Attack, attack, attack.

Dipping into her wrestling toolkit, Carmen ducked down and charged forward with her arms extended, coming straight at her opponent. She wanted to grab hold of the smoldering, sexy Latina, force her into a collar-and-elbow, then push her until she had Soledad’s back up against the bar.

Sola was shaking her head wildly, trying to fend off the effects of Carmen's punch before the champion could press her advantage. Of course, this being Carmen, that was easier said than done. The veteran was on top of her in an instant, locking arms with Sola and pushing her backward.

"M-merde!" Sola grunted, as she felt Carmen lay her hands on her. Completely off-balance, Sola was only able to offer token resistance. Her legs tense, her hips bucked against Carmen, but the champion had the hold locked in and was pushing her right back, into the bar!

"Gaaahhhh!" Sola groaned, as her back hit the bar. The edge of the bar dug into her back. Sola's back went onto the top of the bar, as Carmen trapped her against it. Sola pushed against her, accomplishing nothing except pushing her upper body futilely into Carmen's arms.

Sola's face reddened, as she shook and quivered in effort to push back against the champion. The opening of the actual match was a far cry from their first physical encounter, or their run-in tonight. In fact, this was far more frustrating, far more humiliating, than any of that.

Carmen let out a furious battle cry as she pushed Sola back, mixed with rage, irritation, and a few other emotions she didn’t quite want to quantify. Her feet hammered against the hollow floor as she pushed forward, nearly crashing into a couple of drunken patrons on their way.

They managed to clear the bar in time, though, right before Carmen slammed her smaller opponent into it. Good start. Good position. She had to keep working with this.

Sola still had plenty of energy left to work with, of course, that match had barely started, so it was only natural that she give Carmen plenty of resistance. The 24/7 Champion was pushed back, shoved a step away, but only a step. Out of range for a punch, but that was hardly her sole option. She still had to two function limbs to work with.

Carmen raised her boot up and shot it out, throwing a swift push kick into Sola’s chest, looking to plant her heel right in the middle.

Sola writhed and squirmed in Carmen's grip, her back grinding against the unyielding bar. Grimacing, the teenage street fighter couldn't help but think about how much worse this was, than trying to fight her way off of the ring ropes. Still, this was what she wanted, Sola reminded herself: a fight in the streets, no rules, just her and the champion scrapping it out!

Sola's shove got her some breathing room, but only just barely. Sola pushed herself back upright, and took a breath as she tried to shake her shoulders and loosen her aching back muscles. When she turned herself back to face Carmen, the champion was already back on top of her, with another attack!

"Damn!" the street fighter exclaimed, as Carmen's boot came down hard on her chest. The impact of the kick knocked some of the wind out of her. Carmen's foot sank hard into the latina's soft chest, drawing a loud cry of approval from the audience!

The impact knocked Soledad back against the bar. This time, she fell. Bouncing off the bar, Sola fell straight down to her backside. Legs spread eagle, Sola sat on her ass, arms wrapped tight around her aching chest. Wincing in pain, the latina leaned forward, and breathed deeply. She knew how important this was; needing to work through the pain, Sola had to get herself in this fight, before Carmen could take too much of an advantage, over her!

As Carmen brought her leg up and drove it into Sola’s chest - an easy target - she made a mental note to thank Felina, her cousin and a skilled kickboxer, for helping her improve when it came to kicking. It didn’t come naturally for a pure boxer, but now that she’d gotten a few under her belt, they were paying dividends.

Seeing Sola reel from the blow was satisfying, amazingly so, and it only got better from there, as the arrogant youth fell flat on those fulsome hips she so clearly prided herself on. A pretty picture, but one she couldn’t indulge in for too long. After all, King had made the mistake of letting Soledad surprise him while he had the upperhand, and there was no way she’d make the same error.

”Levántate.” Carmen hissed, her harsh voice barely carrying over the speakers, and reached forth to grab Sola’s unbraided hairs. She got a tight grip and started to pull the youth back to her feet, forcing her buxom opponent to rise in the harshest way imaginable.

Sola sat flat on her ass, head lulling lazily from side to side. Both of Soledad's hands were pressed firmly into her soft chest, nursing the tender flesh. Her chest was aching like hell, and she couldn't help but wonder if Carmen had managed to crack something with that hard kick, right into the bar. "Uuhnn," Sola moaned, trying to rouse herself, and gather the strength to push herself back upright.

Carmen wouldn't give her the chance to get back up under her own power, however. Before Sola knew what was happening, Carmen had a wrapped a fistful of her long black locks around her hand, and was yanking her helpless body right off the floor!

"Aaie!" Sola cried out, as she got hoisted roughly up to her feet. Reaching up, Sola snapped her hands around Carmen's wrist, trying to mitigate some of the pressure that was currently threatening to rip her hair clean of her scalp.

"Liberarme, perra!" Sola said, her voice a high whine. The teenage street fighter grit her teeth, as she got hoisted back up to her feet. The reversal of fortune, right off of the opening bell, was enough to leave her seething. Red-faced, the shift from dominating the pre-match encounter to beign treated like Carmen's bitch was humiliating. Feeding on that anger, Sola released one hand, clenched her fist, and drove a hard strike to Carmen's abs. It was far from a full-strength punch, but Sola's pride wouldn't let her simply lie back and take it, any more!
