I've already got my bases covered with my ties to Tat. It'll be different for everyone, however.
I see us continuing on. We have enough people that are active on here to do so.

Tat let me keep Kelly and Chesna together. It will be all off screen but I'm not complaining. I'm holding onto the memories with a white knuckle grip.

I'm concurring with all you lot are saying. I was in the middle of something with Tat but it wasn't overly vital though I'm gonna miss it, still I'm totally confident that everything's going to be fine. Our star shines as brightly as the sun that I praise. ^.^

Re: AFW Moving Forwards (Tat leaving)
Sarting in AFW was hard some years ago. I had the luck that some of the veterans were searching for new people when I arrived here, but the inpolite behavior of some people nearly drove me away if Alexandra and Dynamo44 had not encouraged me to stay. It is a fine line between being an ironically funny guy and just a jackass, and I think we all cross over that line eventually then and when. But if you are more often a jackass then a funny guy, something is wrong. I think this has indeed been much better lately.
Many other senior site members are much harder to come by and will probably only message you if they run out of ideas or if you write a match that wins them over in your favor. I can say that I have RPed with a large majority of the top 50 posters here, but with the largest majority of them it was me who came up with an idea, and that is quite tiresome and draining sometimes if your ideas don´t land with them but the alternative for them would be to be stuck in a thread they never wanted to be in, and I am pretty sure that has happened to quite a few people here. And then you simply don´t click with some people, and nobody is to blame for that. My personal strategy is to not put all my eggs in one basket. With Tatyina leaving, obviously many eggs are now lying on the ground so to say.^^
Then there were people who I thought were absolutely brilliant but did not feel valued by the community, which always surprises me then. it is my opinion that people don´t underestimate you intentionally, people just think that you´re an adult and can handle yourself with being patted on the back all day.
Then there were the few chosen ones who found entrance into the highest circles of player nobility without much posting before to break this unwritten rule. But from my personal point of view, these people had very interesting characters and could play, but only played some months and then went away. You can usually find them in the range of having between 270 and 400 posts, enough to make about 5 or 6 threads and then vanish.
Hamish1024 once had the idea to make a who is who of AFW, and I think that is a great idea to create a living background. Sadly the work for something like that is simply monumental.

Yeah a whos-who thing wouldn't work, in character, or out.
People would just bitch about who got considered most important and who wasn't considered most important.

Alexandra wrote: Tat was tied up with EVERYONE. His leaving has left a huge, HUGE hole in things.
I just wanted to also say (now that I have the time and will to say it) that, Tat himself has been left hanging multiple times. He was deeply invested in Luffy and made chars just for him
(Did you know the Higurashi's were supposed to hook up with Luffy's Sumomo Twins, daughters of former AFW Champion Kirin Sumomo? It would have happened had Luffy not left and instead one of them married Taylor Parker.)
but Luffy left and then Hawthorne came along and he left Tat hanging. Cirno came and went when they had things going. Blue was his go to go gal for several years and did more with her than anyone before she had to leave.
from 2009 till Aug 21st he basically never took a break outside of roadtrips and got left hanging numerous times but kept on trucking even after losing partner after partner.
When Blue left he pretty much retired Morrigan, Jocelyn, Johnny and Allie Parker.
So for those of you who are upset by the departure, I hope this might help you cope a bit. It's simply his turn to move with his life and we gotta deal. And not even with just with Tat but with others as well, departures are going to happen, but I hope to have a good attitude with moving forward like he did. I've rped with him since 2009 and I pretty much lost ALL my major storylines and years worth of relationships and rivalries. I'm going to miss a lot of it. It sucked at first but after learning that Tat is doing something he really needs to do in life, I can't be upset. But he's still there on Trillian to talk with and to me, thats the most important thing.

Re: AFW Moving Forwards (Tat leaving)
I wasn't trying to be accusing. Tat's been left hanging before. We've all been left hanging before.
I was simply stating that we've never had a member leave before that's left this big of a gap with their departure. That's all.
