An Uninvited Guest

It was a normal day in the life of Valley Doll.

She woke up around nine o’ clock after her alarm went off, then put it on snooze and went back to sleep for another hour. After that, she took a shower and fed her cat, then had a fine breakfast. There weren’t enough Honey Nut Cheerios for a full bowl, so she mixed them with the Lucky Charms, inventing Lucky Cheerios. Viola.

From there, things broke into the routine. She called Haley, the two of them met up for a workout, exchanged stories, talked about what was going on in their lives, had a little light sparing, nothing too intense. After a lunch, they parted ways for the day, and Valley got a little shopping out done. Bought a new case for her phone, picked up some groceries. Catfood for Valentine, ingredients to make an omelet, and she picked up a copy of the Force Awakens she’d been meaning to snag. Special Edition, because she had to have the Special Edition.

After that was done, she simply headed home, made her way into her apartment, and started to wind down for the day. She was still dressed in her workout clothes - white shirt, pink shorts, matching sneakers - and she was ready to take a shower and clean off. Something she would’ve done at the gym itself, if she hadn’t forgotten her gym bag. Again. Had to work on that.

Valley peeled off her shirt, revealing the pink - of course pink - sports bra underneath. She tossed it off into the dirty clothes hamper, kicked off her shoes and socks near the door, and started to head towards the bathroom, eager to get some hot water running.

Just an ordinary way to end an ordinary day. Nothing weird about. Couldn’t be more mundane.

Unbeknownst to Valley, there was a special guest waiting for her.

Lying in her bathtub, leaned back with closed eyes, her body mostly covered in warm water, was Amethyst Velour, rather enjoying herself as she waited for her blonde lover to come home for the evening. It hadn't taken Amethyst much effort at all to find out where Valley's apartment was, and it had taken even less than that to pop the lock on the door. She had made herself at home while she waited for Valley to come home, spending the day hanging around her lover's apartment. She had spent some time watching her TV, enjoying a nice meal courtesy of the Slamazon, and even spent some time playing with her pet cat.

Now, though? Now she was enjoying a nice, warm bath, enjoying the feeling of the warm water flowing all over her bare, naked body.

She was in no hurry to get out, either. Valley would be home soon enough, but until then, she was going to enjoy her time in the tub. It wasn't often that she got to enjoy a day off like this, though part of her was getting a bit anxious. She hadn't seen her favorite doll in so very long, and she was missing her quite a lot!

”Oh, Jesus Christ!”

Valley was fluent in English - duh - and had a decent understanding of Japanese, but there was no word in either language to properly encapsulate the feeling she had when she opened the door to her bathroom and saw a woman laying in the tub.

Surprised? Yes, no question there.

Confused? That, too.

Afraid? In so many ways for so many reasons.

She let out a shrill shriek, stumbled away and fell down on her butt, then scrambled around on the floor and dashed into the nearest safe zone her mind could register: the hall closet. Valley squeezed in, slammed the door shut, then leaned back against the towel rack and tried her best to not get a heart attack.

Who? What? Where? Why? When? How?

Her mind raced with questions, and she only had answers for a small handful of them. She recognized the purple hair, so that meant Amethyst. It could only be Amethyst. Which explained why she was there and how she’d gotten in, since she was crazy and this was a very clear crazy-person thing to do. She wasn’t armed at least, Valley had gotten a good enough peek to tell that. So what now?

Valley forced her breath to slow down a few ticks and patted her pockets, trying to find her phone, before she remembered that she left it in the kitchen. The kitchen, which was beyond the bathroom, which meant that she had to pass the insane, naked, purple haired woman on her way to calling the police. Also, she needed to do that soon, because the longer she waited, the worse this situation would became.

”Okay. Okay.” Valley did a quick hail mary and opened the door, checking to make sure the coast was clear before she started to tiptoe down the hallway. The whole time, she prayed that Amethyst wouldn’t come out of that bathroom. And, if she did, she also prayed that she would be wearing clothes.
