Re: It Shall Not Come To Pass
Abattoir was...not quite crestfallen, that was maybe too passive a descriptor. There would be time for that later, when she could mope about what could've been and the fun she'd missed out on. Right now, she was mainly livid. Styx had taken it upon herself to show up and kick the nak muay's sandcastle over, and now she was laughing about it, too! Abattoir wasn't even sure how to defuse the situation but you could bet your ass she was getting in the middle of it to stop everything. If she couldn't get what she wanted, nobody was going to get what they wanted.
The crowd's disapproval rose in a crescendo as Abattoir dove through the ropes, charging full-bore towards Alicia and Styx. It was a full on sprint, and judging from the fury in her eyes, chances were good that her method of separating the two of them would be more than a little forceful. Enraged and (in her eyes, at least) having been thoroughly cheated, she was in no mood to be gentle about it.
"Stop it!" she shrieked, storming up the ramp and making a beeline for the brawling pair. "Stop it now! No, no no no NO NO GOD DAMMIT--"
Granted, to anybody without context - especially if they couldn't hear her increasingly enraged attempts to stop the attack - it really just looked like she was coming to join in.

Re: It Shall Not Come To Pass
Backstage, another girl watched the match. In a private room, she got her gear on, watching the show live on her I-phone. She didn't have a match booked, but had planned to appear anyway and make a challenge to a certain group of people, and had spent the night getting her gear and face paint on, waiting for the right opportunity.
Then Alicia came out and got attacked, and opportunity arrived.
The Friction crowd, loudly booing the sneak attack on Alicia, looked on in surprise as a silver blur came out from the back and down the ramp, smashing hard into River Styx, knocking her away from Alicia, throwing hard fists into the big womans sides and head, before ramming her back first into the guard rail next to the ramp.
Backing away from Styx, the silver haired newcomer moved again, stepped between the fallen Alicia and incoming Abattoir, the new position giving her and the crowd a clear view of who it was.
After several weeks of being gone, Silver Ace was back.
"Miss me?"
She asked, buying time for Alicia to get back to her feet.

Re: It Shall Not Come To Pass
There Styx was, minding her own business, just beating Alicia around, when she found herself under a rapid fire assault. At first she was a bit confused - why did people insist on getting mixed in her affairs and signing themselves up for a beating. But when she turned around saw just who it was, things made more sense.
And, just like that, all hell broke loose. Granted, it had started to break loose the moment Styx jumped the rail, and if Abattoir and Alicia had their match, it probably would’ve broken loose eventually. But now that you had four wrestlers on the outside, each with their own histories and beefs and reasons to smack each other around and unique ways of doing it and appetites for wanton violence…
The referees made their way out from the back and quickly came down the ramp, getting in between the WAR members and their potential prey, trying to stop a brawl from going down. Not that they could do much more than really delay it, given the size difference.
Before things could spill out again, however, the announcer made her way up to the middle of the ring, microphone in hand, to try and draw the crowd towards her.
”Attention!” She called out, her slightly irritating squawk of a voice resonating through the rafters. ”Attention! I have just received word that the main office that, instead of a singles match, these four women will now be competing in tag team-”

Re: It Shall Not Come To Pass
CLANG.
Remember when I said Abattoir tantrums were extremely rare, but incredibly unpleasant?
As the referees had swarmed the ramp to keep them apart, the nak muay, welling up with a surging, primal anger, had shoved her way through a group of refs and stomped her way back up to the ring, chair in hand. The announcer got exactly two-thirds of the way through the change to the match lineup before a prodigious chairshot to the back of her skull, with a noise like the sound barrier breaking, dropped her face-first to the mat in a daze.
Standing over her, Abattoir flipped the chair upside-down and brought it down on the woman's head with a dull thwump. And then she did it again. And again, and again, and again, and again.
The first four or five rows had fallen uncomfortably silent by the time she rose, heaving for breath, and seethed into the microphone: "These four women will not be meeting in tag team competition. There is no tag match, so the two of you can fuck off back to the locker room and--"
The bell rang, and her hopes were shattered.
With an incendiary burst of shrieked obscenities, Abattoir hurled the chair into the crowd and (ignoring the anguished cries from the third row) stormed over to the corner. She didn't even spare a glance for the other three, opting instead to turn her back to them as she got onto the apron. It was definitely the most dignified protest she'd mounted since this whole thing had started, albeit probably the least effective.

Re: It Shall Not Come To Pass
Alicia was more than a little confused if she was honest.
The last thing she’d known was having River Styx chasing her down the ramp, kicking and stomping and generally making her life miserable. She’d been vaguely aware of the shouting coming from behind her, nearer the ring, but her focus was almost entirely on Styx.
And her imminent try at taking the bald woman’s legs out from under her. Except she’d never got the chance because someone else had promptly ambushed the ambusher. And that was vaguely hilarious, even though at first she had absolutely no idea who the hell would come out to save her.
It wasn’t Valley, that was for sure. Not Mikayla – not anyone she could think of. Short, white-blonde hair, about five-eight…
The redhead blinked, clambering back to her feet and rubbing at where Styx had clobbered her, deciding it was more important to take care of the threat the bald thug still posed before worrying about who was playing knight in shining armour. Whoever it was seemed comfortable taking Abattoir, who was running down, which left Styx to Alicia.
She took a step towards where Styx had been bashed against the rail, fists coming up…
Except the referees promptly intervened at last, swarming down between Alicia and the WAR mastermind before she could get her hands on Styx. The redhead struggled for a moment, before giving up with a snarl as she saw her opportunity getting away from her.
Her head spun towards the ring as the announcer started to talk, raking a hand through her hair irritably. Only for, unlike Abattoir, that snarl to start to ease into a smile as the woman talked. While she certainly did still want that one on one match with the nak muay, she also very much wanted the chance to get some retribution on Styx for ruining the match.
It was at that point, with the nak muay demolishing the announcer with repeated chair shots, that Alicia belatedly realised who’d come down to save her. And she did a double take.
Silver Ace?
Really?
Not having the time to waste worrying about that, the big redhead stepped forward to join Ace.
”Thanks,” She kept her voice low, pitched for the other wrestler alone to hear, ”Looks like I owe you one. I’m going to need a minute though.”
She waved down at her clothing.
”Not sure I want to be fighting Styx like this.”

Re: It Shall Not Come To Pass
Ace winced, as Abattoir made sure the ring announcer, a cute young thing who could have had a bright future ahead of her, ended up getting left a bleeding and twitching limp body in the ring, Ace yelling at a couple ref's to get medical help as even more staff ran out to keep the fighters separated.
Well that settled it. WAR was clearly filled with insane people who all needed to get their asses kicked. Making a mental note to check on that announcer later, Ace looked over at Alicia as she got up to her feet and thanked her for the assist, offering the woman a face painted nod.
"No problem. Meant to call these guys out later, but I couldn't let you get
attacked like that. I owed you. You helped Gallium, I help you...Besides, knowing these two, I think I'll be glad to have you on my side for this..."
She whispered back, as the refs and staff started herding them towards the ring to begin the new match!
