Angels & Airwaves

Mercy groaned as she buried her face into the sid of Angel's big boob. She hugged her lover but just pouted against her while the cab sped off to their next destination. She felt stupid and bad. She had pretty much ruined Clyde's big celebratory party just because she was selfish and couldn't talk to him in private. With her teeth clenched, and her lips pursed, she exhaled, sighing as her lips vibrated against Angel's boob.

Worse than ruining Clyde's party, she was now in a funk and felt like she might ruin her and Angel's fun weekend. She shut her eyes and squeezed her lover.

"I'm dumb..." Mercy muttered and lifted her head a bit. "You were right. I shouldn't have invited you. I shouldn't have even came..." Mercy's head flopped back against the Latina. "It was bad. I just ruined his whole night. Now he's going to think I'm a horrible bitch forever." Mercy said as she sulked. "It was so super awkward too." Mercy squeezed Angel's thigh. "I'm sorry!" She muttered. "I didn't want it to be like that. Maybe I hoped... or thought... that he could take it better?" Mercy paused. "Well, I guess he didn't take it too bad all things considered... I've seen how Clyde gets. He honestly took it pretty well..."

Mercy sat up. "Hmmm..." She thought for a moment. "That kinda worries me..." She said and winced.

Angel hugged Mercy gently, a soft look on her face as she listened to her lover speak. She had slipped out of her jacket once they had gotten into the cab, so Mercy could snuggle right against the thin fabric of the t-shirt that covered her boob, causing the Latina to squirm slightly at the feeling. She especially started to shift around when she felt Mercy's lips vibrating against her, but she wasn't really in the mood to really enjoy the sensation.

"You're not dumb," she muttered, giving the pinkette a squeeze in return. "And no, chica, you did right bringing me. That was a rough crowd in there, and Clyde was getting heated while you two were talking. You needed someone backing you up."

The Latina sighed though, and gave Mercy another squeeze. "Don't be sorry. I'm the one that should be sorry. I got distracted by Adrian and didn't get in there when you needed me. That was my bad, chica..."

She trailed off, glancing out of the window of the cab as the vehicle traveled swiftly through the city, but after moment she curiously looked back at her lover.

"Mm? What are you worried about?"

"Yeah?" Mercy lifted up her head and looked at Angel. She furrowed her brow. "He's always just trying to be cool." Mercy said. "That's pretty much why he does anything, so people will think he's cool and it's just... it's so obvious to everyone but him that he's just... not."

Mercy shook her head. She straightened up a bit but still remained close to Angel. "That was always the thing that bothered me, even when we were dating. Like, yeah, it's great that you want to impress me and treat me well, but, like, c'mon. Not for nothin' but I'm not a puppy dog. I don't need to be treated like that. It's like he was never around a girl before he met me."

She paused and leaned in, a mischievous smirk across her face. "Then again, he did date Heather before me." mercy poked Angel and giggled. "But, yeah. He just tries to hard. Anyone with half a brain would figure out that telling strangers to come drink at your house would be a horrible idea. Honestly, I probably did him a favor. Getting so upset and throwing everyone out probably saved his house from being set on fire by some drunken idiot!"

Mercy laughed and then sighed. "I dunno. I just hope he doesn't try and get weird. Like, restraining order weird. I was hoping we could still be friends, but." Mercy shrugged. "Maybe it's better if we're not. I don't want to have to keep looking over my shoulder all the time and I don't want to make you worry either... I think you showed up right when you needed to... so, don't worry about it!"

Mercy waved her hand dismissively and hugged Angel's arm.

Angel groaned, rolling her eyes at the mention of Heather. She hated how often that name seemed to come up in her life, especially as of late. Her time with Heather had passed and gone, and she really didn't want to hear about the woman anymore.

She looked back down at Mercy again though, lifting a hand to gently brush a few strands of hair out of her lover's face. "Just forget about him, chica. You don't need to be friends with him. There's no good that can come out of that, you know?" She shrugged, and squeezed Mercy a little tighter, still squirming as the woman rubbed against her boob.

"And don't worry about making me worry. That's what I'm here for," she continued, closing her eyes as she tried to enjoy the moment of closeness between herself and Mercy. "Besides. If he gets weird and tries to do anything, I'll take care of him. I'm not worried about him at all. It's you I worry about, chica."

"Forget about him, huh?"

Mercy thought about it as she leaned against Angel. It was smart advice and she had more or less went to the part for that reason, but Clyde had been in Mercy's life for a long time. Even if she didn't really want to think about him and wanted to move on with her life, she didn't feel like she could just forget about him that easily, nor did she just want to. She didn't hate Clyde, just the opposite, she liked Clyde. They just... as far as dating went, it wasn't going to work out.

"Yeah, I guess..." She said half heartedly after thinking about it. "I don't really think he'll do anything, but... you never know..." Mercy added and then nuzzled Angel's boob, smiling coyly.

"But... why are you worried about meeeee?' She said, peering up at Angel with puppy dog eyes.

Angel felt her cheeks flush, as Mercy looked at her with those eyes, asking her question.

"W-what do you mean, why am I worried about you?" She asked, looking away from the paralegal, squirming a little bit more against her. "I care about you, chica. You're my..." She paused for a moment, feeling her breath catch in her throat, as she thought about her words. What was Mercy to her, anyway? Obviously they were lovers, but it felt like something more than that. It felt almost like...

Angel shook her head, clearing her thoughts as she glanced back at Mercy. "I'm worried about you because I care, chica. Someone has to worry about you, as much trouble as you seem to get into. It might as well be me, right?"

Mercy's grin spread wide when it looked like Angel didn't really want to answer the question and when she finally did, stumbled until she... didn't. Mercy wasn't sure if Angel's stuttering was adorable or, maybe a little sad. She could get the gist of what Angel was saying and definitely understood their relationship. If she was put ont he spot like that, she might very well answer in the same way, but still. There was a part of her tht wanted Angel to say the words. Maybe so SHE could say the words too.

It was tempting to tease her about it, press the issue and try and get her to say the words, but Mecy knew she wouldn't like it if she had it done to her.

"Mm." Mercy turned her head. "Yeah, I guess someone has too." She said drolly. She then cutely slithered up against Angel's arm nd leaned in to kiss her on the ear. "I'm glad it's you, chica." Mercy whispered seductively into Angel's ear. She had other ways of teasing her for sure. She then slid off her Latina lover and leaned forward.

She spoke some Japanese to the cab driver who nodded and continued along the journey. "I told him to go to this place where we can get some food and drinks. I only had the plain hotdog at the party. Did you even eat anything? Man, how lame." Mercy shrugged. "It's ok though. Even if we were full, I still wanted to come here. This place is on the 10th floor. I guess you can see most of Kyoto. That's really neat! What do you think?" Mercy purred and rubbed Angel's thigh.

"I figure that we can head to the hotel after and then tomorrow do some sightseeing." Mercy giggled. "If we wake up in time!"

Angel was glad that Mercy didn't press the issue too hard. She cared a great, great deal about Mercy, but she didn't think she was entirely ready to say just what she was really feeling. Not yet, anyway.

She still shivered though, as the pinkette kiss her ear, sliding against her as she whispered to the Latina. She closed her eyes, and smiled, trying not to laugh. Even at a moment like this, Mercy still knew just how to turn Angel on, and she almost wished they were going back to the hotel now.

She opened her eyes again, and shrugged back at Mercy, smiling as the woman rubbed her leg. "Sounds good to me, chica. I didn't get anything to eat at that mess of a party, so I'm starving right now, and after dealing with that shit I could use something to drink!"

She turned a little more towards her lover, and grinned, wrapping both of her arms around her and giving Mercy a tight squeeze against herself. "Sightseeing sounds good too, chica...though, I don't plan on sleeping until waaay late tonight, you know? I don't think either of us will be waking up too early tomorrow..."

Mercy giggled at Angel's words and hugged her lover back. "Yeah, right? Just, uhhh... we better not get too drunk tonight if we want to make make sure we can actually walk when we finally get up to go sightseeing! You know the last time I got sloshed with you, I was crab walking for three days! You really know how to work a girl's hips!"

She laughed about it more until the taxicab pulled up to the rather tall building. Mercy slid out and looked up. "Neat. The view should at least be good, though I think the food is supposed to be as well!"

After a quick elevator ride the two had their seats and were enjoying a view of Kyoto at night. The city itself was old world meets new world and it seemed like the restaurant was a bit of that as well. Mercy ordered drinks and food and took Angel's hand, just squeezing her fingers a bit and smiling, thinking that such overt affection might be a little weird even if they were all over each other, sort of, in the cab.

"You know...' Mercy said idly. "I never really planned to be with AFW. I just came over when Lukretia's Attorney did. I was working for her at the time and then... everything just went completely insane and then, when I was fired, I ..." Mercy paused. "I was actually kind of sad I was leaving. It's sooo weird." Mercy wrinkled her nose and then smiled. "I still hate wrestling though." She said, sticking her tongue out childishly at Angel.

Angel looked out over the city, smiling as she sipped on her drink, squeezing Mercy's hand. This was nice. She was enjoying this. She needed more nights out like this, just her and Mercy, relaxing and enjoying each other's presence. When Mercy made her last comment though, Angel looked at her and stuck her tongue back out at the woman, her leg sliding under the table to nudge Mercy, shaking her head at the pink-haired cutie.

"Sucks for you, chica," she teased, giving her lover's hand another squeeze. "It's part of your life now. You should really get over it, you know." She raised her cup, taking another sip from her drink, then gave Mercy a sly smile.

"But...you know, chica, it wouldn't hurt you to learn a little bit more about wrestling. You know, more of the basics. I saw your match against Lilly, and you did okay." She sat down her glass, and met Mercy's gaze, smiling a little wider at her. "With all the trouble you get into, it wouldn't hurt for you to learn how to defend yourself better, yeah? Maybe I could drag you into the gym and teach you a few things."

She paused, then slid her leg further forward, rubbing it against Mercy's own, slowly up and down. "Or maybe you'd like to meet me in the hotel so I can show you a few holds, hm...?"
