USA Vs Canada - Yvette King Vs Zoey Waters

Yvette had not done too bad this time. It seemed that she had managed to turn things around, her guard absorbing the punishment the Canadian Olympic boxer would throw at her. After her first two matches here, Yvette was determined not to start a sudden losing streak. That was what motivates her to launch the counter attack which started off brilliantly with Yvettes stomach jab found it's mark. Sadly though the hook missed, it was close, but it was a miss nevertheless. Yvette was somewhat frustrated now, eager to try and price a point again she was about to launch another attack, keen to keep Zoey on the back foot, but Zoey had other plans.

Zoey’s form had changed, her stance wider, everything sending small signals that she was getting ready to throw some sort of body uppercut, and so, Yvette adapted her guard to deal with it, positioning her two arms to cover most of her midsection, but left the centre column exposed. AR the last minute though Zoey changed stance and attack, and it seemed Yvette had fallen into the trap. The uppercut shot right between the arms that comprised of Yvette’s guard and shattered into her chin, sending Yvette staggering a step backwards in pain. Yvette would regain her footing quickly, but she was still reeling from the uppercut, so an offensive move was out of the question.

"Didn't you know? Brunette's always win against Blonde's, Miss Taylor Swift." She said as she watched her foe stumble back.

Zoey chuckled as her foe got hit by her unconventional uppercut, she smirked as Yvette reeled back. The brunette moved in not letting Yvette breathe without her punishing her for it. She would try to hug the blonde and tie up her arms in a cluster of a clinch. She would try to hug the blonde close and run her back into the corner. Pressing their sweaty and hot bodies together, she would breathe hot air into Yvette's ear and would smash and ram her fist into her blonde opponent's stomach. Firing body blow after body blow, she would try to knock the wind of her opponent again and again so she could pick her opponent more and more.

Yvette knew that any form of retreat would just open the flood gates and invite Zoey to make another attack. That's why she did her best avoid taking two steps back. It would have been tempting to step back more and more, but that would just give Zoey more time to think of an attack. Yvette was too focused to even pay attention to what Zoey was trying to say. Zoey most certainly did have a strange way of boxing, she ended up clinching with her and getting pushed back into the corner. Yvette got distracted by the hot air in her ear, this in turn started a chain of nasty events. This distraction let Zoey sink her gloved fist into her stomach. Yvette would groan and lurch forward slightly, her mouth making a visible 'o' shape as another punch landed its mark too. The crowd loved it, cheering each time a punch hit. Yvette had lost count at how many, 2,3,4 it got to 6 punches when the ref finally intervened, splitting them up and getting them out of the corner. After the final punch Yvette was slumped against the cornerpost. She hadn't dropped down, but was clearly using it as a support, gloves gripping onto the ropes for support.

Zoey had asserted dominance with the first round, and this was bad. If she let Zoey keep dictating like this, it didn't matter if she survive 10 round, she would still lose. But she wasn't exactly in great fighting shape, her stomach pulsating over and over from the hits, her stomach was also red, and there was no toned her abs were going to swell and bruise over the course of the match. After a few seconds Yvette pushed off the corner post and raised her gloves, the ref signalling for the match to continue. She needed to be careful, there was no point in even trying to win the round, Zoey had made that one clear, so for now it was a defensive cruise to the end of the round, which was not too far away, but still felt like hours. with her gloves raised, Yvette closed the gap between them, throwing a left jab at her face, using her leading hand to try and put some power behind the punch. She fully expected Zoey to use her guard to absorb it, so it was a useless punch for most people. But Yvette was of the thought that as long as she kept punching this round, and forced Zoey to go on the defensive, she could see this round through.

Zoey usually wasn't one to use the clinch this way but she had found an excellent chance to bully her opponent with some dirty boxing. With each blow, she could feel her foe's breath getting shorter and shorter. The Canadian boxer felt the knock out coming, the way her foe was reacting to her punches as she drove her fist again and again. She was chipping away at her, literally suffocating the blonde with how hard she was hitting her. After the last body blow, she was about to follow up with an uppercut and a downward 45 degree angle left hook to put her opponent out or on her ass.

However, she could feel the ref's arms trying to get between them before she could land the finishing blow.

Zoey eventually stepped back and dared Yvette to meet her gaze as she bounced back and fourth on her feet. She knocked her gloves together as she danced in the ring obviously showing her foe just how willing she was to fight. When the blonde made it back to her feet, the fight resumed. Zoey would lower her gloves and would lean back, moved her head down and under to avoid her foe's jabs with grace.

"Aww... am I moving to fast for you Blondie?" She wanted to goad the girl to chase her as she moved backward away and threw her back into the corner. She waved the blonde over and dared her to attack. "Here come on, hit me. I'll make it easy for you."

Zoey would eye the clock as there was a little more than 10 seconds left.

Zoey sure knew how to how to annoy Yvette. Her brash attitude and her cockiness made Yvette's blood boil. It would have been alright if Yvette was in control, but instead Zoey had asserted herself and took control of the round by pretty much removing all of the air out of Yvette's body. Zoey further infuriated Yvette by dodging her retaliatory strike, bouncing around like some sort of hyperactive doll. She bit down on her mouthguard, growling at the woman's remarks. She was asking for it now. Yvette would take a step forward while Zoey made her retreat into the corner. She had enough of losing. She had enough of people like Lorenza beating her and not getting any punches in. Now it was going to change.

Now Yvette knew she should fall for the trick of charging at Zoey. But right now, she didn't care. Zoey was going to get it. She was going to get it good. Yvette charged, almost running, knowing that there was few seconds left. Rearing her hand back, when she was close enough she would throw that fist forward with a ever so mighty roaring punch towards the Canadians face, letting out a almighty scream on anger as she threw the punch.

Zoey would smirk at her foe as she charged forward, the punch had so much wind up that she could see it coming a mile away. The brunette would side step just slightly to change the angle of how they were facing. She would throw out a hard long left jab while tucking her head down and using her shoulder to shield her head. As the blonde's punch glanced off her shoulder, while Yvette would essentially run into her fist essentially countering the force of her punch and her runnign momentum.

"You mad?" She taunted as she would then clinch with her foe and hold her close to stop her from retaliating. Holding her close as she would force her to watch the last seconds of the round tick away.
