Tension in Ueno: Cross-Promotion 2 out of 3 Falls Match: Suzumi Ishikawa vs Kyo Akamatsu

Suzumi thought she had him yet again, wrenching on his leg. At least if he escaped he might be a bit slower? However, escape he did and Kyo quickly demonstrated that he has still very much in the fight by catching Suzumi in a surprise armbar! She let out an ear splitting scream as her left arm was stuck, and quickly being wrenched painfully! She had to get out, and was nowhere near the ropes!

This was bad, very bad! "Its gonna take more than that..." Suzumi muttered weakly through grit teeth as she tried to sound defiant. However,r she was really on her last legs and in desperate need of an escape! After being stuck in the hold and knowing that her left arm was not going to be anywhere remotely close to 100% she tried to get his legs far enough apart so she could slip her other arm and torso up between his legs and take away the pressure of the hold! From there Suzumi would try to punch away at Kyo's mid-section with her good arm to free herself completely!

Somehow, Kyo's desperate move worked, as he managed to reverse Suzumi's grip and snag her in a surprise armbar. He heard the Tsunami scream, kick and squirm in his grip. Grinding his teeth, he leaned back, wrenching back even further on the trapped limb-- although he didn't want to go so far as to dislocate the Tsunami's shoulder, he also knew that he had the chance to make her tap here and now and finally end this match.

"Come on, Suzumi-san, give!" he shouted. Given their positioning, he knew that Suzumi couldn't possibly get them close enough to the ropes, and would have to tap sooner or later. "I don't want to break your arm, so tap before I--"

He was cut short as Suzumi suddenly rolled towards him, pulling her entire torso up between his legs. Before Kyo could shake her loose, Suzumi balled a fist and slammed it against his midsection. The first blow made him gasp, but wasn't enough to make him release her. The second one, however, did the trick-- breathing hard, he released Suzumi and flopped onto his back, panting for breath and bracing and arm over his midsection. "Nnaagh..."

Suzumi was hurting bad....if she didn't end this Kyo was going to! Suzumi moved over to Kyo, setting him up in a sitting position. The crowd cheered as they saw the start of her finisher....The Tsunami Sleeper! Suzumi moved behind Kyo and wrapped her legs around his waist, while pulling his head back and wrapping her right arm around the front of his throat! Kyo's torso was being crushed while his head, which was bei g forced back for extra pain was also being choked out! Suzumi did a taunting flex with her lef t arm to fire up the crowd more!

Truthfullly she should have used her left arm to soften Kyo with strikes, but it was so hurt from the armbar she could only use it for a taunt!

Kyo hissed through clenched teeth as he rolled onto his back, winded from Suzumi's repeated punches. By this point, the two wrestlers were getting worn out, and neither of them was showing quite the same finesse with their moves as they were before. Many in the audience were now beginning to wonder what would happen first-- whether one of them would tap out, or if one would simply collapse in exhaustion.

As Suzumi crawled near him, Kyo felt alert, especially as he was grabbed and pulled into a seated position. The next thing he knew, Suzumi's slender legs wrapped around his waist and locked, while her arm wrapped around his throat. "Gggghk!" he gagged, his face instantly turning red from the lack of air (not to mention the way Suzumi's body was so closely pressing up to his). Pawing at Suzumi's arms, he pressed his booted feet against the mat and pushed, trying to roll the two of them towards the ropes and snag the bottom rope before he passed out...

Suzumi slapped on her hold and felt like she finally had him right where she wanted him! However, that was not the case as the duo sent rolling over! "W-what are ya doing? You don't.... damn it!" Suzumi shouted as the referee signaled for a rope break, Kyo's intent finally becoming clear to Suzumi. She was frustrated and exhausted at this point, getting up to her feet and sending a hard stomp down onto his sternum before backing away letting him up to his feet.

"Will ya just stay down and tap already?" An exhausted, exasperated Suzumi asked.

Kyo felt nothing but relief as he was freed from the sleeper, taking several wheezing gasps of air as he was able to breathe again. Breathing hard, he curled an arm over the bottom rope and draped his upper body against it, momentarily vulnerable to the Tsunami. She didn't let him off easily, and Kyo gave a sharp cry of pain as his sternum was stomped.

Slowly, he tried to pull himself up on the ropes. "I could...say the same...about you..." he breathed as he finally pulled himself up and gingerly turned to face Suzumi, blinking as sweat stung his eyes. He felt near-dead at this point-- another move from Suzumi would probably be enough to finish him.

Suzumi was stone faced and serious, looked right through Kyo. She moved forward with her arms out trying to get him to lock up with her in a grapple! The whole match was all about submissions and grappling so this was a fitting way to continue on in Suzumi's mind. "Ngh.... just give up already! You really are something ya know that?" Suzumi said as she began to grapple with Kyo!

She couldn't recall the last time she was this exhausted from a match. Panther Risako made her sore, and she hurt like hell after but this level of simply having nothing left in the tank was new to her in AFW. She was being taken back to her hey day in Wrestle Angles in this one!

Suzumi wasn't the only one who was hurting. Kyo was sore in places he hadn't expected, and he couldn't remember the last time he had fought an opponent who had been able to match him so well at submission holds and bring him so close to tapping. Win or lose, this was going to be a memorable match, and he just hoped that Suzumi remembered it as well: he felt more than a little thrilled at the idea of making a good impression on a Wrestle Angel, after all.

As the two wrestlers stood again, Suzumi lunged at him, almost taking him by surprise with a grapple. "Tch!" Digging his boots against the mat, Kyo locked his arms with hers, grabbing onto her elbows as he pressed forward against her. Around them, the crowd went wild as they went for a classic showdown grapple, and their foreheads pressed together as their eyes locked. "Nngh...back at you...Tsunami..."

Half a minute into their grapple, however, Kyo suddenly switched tactics. Releasing Suzumi's arms, he instead shot his arms low, aiming to wrap them around her waist and lift her slightly in a bear hug! He wasn't one to resort to bear hugs often, though, and quickly remembered why-- the feeling of Suzumi's breasts pancaking against his chest, and her warm breath on his ear, was distracting as all hell. Red-faced, he nonetheless squeezed Suzumi tightly for a few seconds, before suddenly dropping back to hit her with a modified suplex!

Suzumi's eyes widened in shock as Kyo grabbed her around the waist and lift! The form may not have been the best, however she landed on the back of her head and neck! If he was trying to target a specific spot and wreck it, Kyo succeeded in spades! "N-no! AHHHHH!"

Suzumi's shout and the thunderous impact left no doubt in anyone's mind that the duplex was like a dagger to the heart. She flopped motionless against the mat, save for her hands grabbing at her neck to cradle it. Her chest rose as she took deep breaths, and her whole body felt like pain surged through it with each passing second. This sure didn't look good for the lady!

After nailing Suzumi with the duplex, Kyo sat up again, breathing hard and still a little red-faced from that close encounter. Glancing over at the Tsunami, he saw her flailing uselessly at the mat, grabbing at her neck in evident pain. For a moment, Kyo was worried that he had done more damage than he had intended, but then thought better of it. Suzumi was a veteran wrestler, and a Wrestle Angel at that. She could take it.

All the same, it looked like she was almost done. She had given Kyo a good fight, and deserved nothing less than to be finished off in style. Crawling over to Suzumi, Kyo rolled her onto her front, before grabbing at her legs and intertwining them with his...setting her up for his finisher, the Akamatsu Crippler!
