Batman v. Superman

So a lot of things aobut this movie kind of bugged me, and they're all still taking time to digest.

I will say that, right now, the best way I can describe it is if they'd made they Avengers straight after making the first Iron Man, instead of building up to it with all the other films. I'm a comic fan, so I was able to keep up with it well enough, but I can only imagine how confusing it would feel to someone who doesn't understand who Wonder Woman is, for instance. It throws a lot at you and expects you to absorb it.

Zack Snyder needs to go the fuck away already

I honestly don't think the blame lies wholly with him.

There are some weird decisions in the movie, yeah - he goes to the well with dream sequences way too many times, for instance - but mostly this felt like a movie that was trying to do way too much at once. Like Snyder was given a bunch of things he HAD to do in order to setup the other films, and the result was cramming everything in.

Like, to go back to Iron Man, imagine how much of a mess that movie would've been if it had scenes setting up and referencing all the other Marvel films, and then it had the Incredible Hulk tossed in, too.

I'll be seeing it in a couple hours. Not looking forward to it

But I didn't hate it. Worse ways to spend two and a half hours. Just a big let down.

It was okay, mixed baggage at the worst. Definelty had e Spider-Man 3 syndrome of trying to do too much in one movie.

Just got out. Not TERRIBLE but not good either.


One dimensional characters, using too many comics influences, a giant space flea from nowhere final boss, totally wasting WW, and seriously, ENOUGH WITH THE JESUS IMAGERY/METAPHORS ALREADY. Finale felt very rushed.

I know their trying to do in 3 movies what took Marvel 6, but DC needs to get its shit together.

What I take from this thread is that if I was already apprehensive about going to see it (because I thought it looked terrible), I'm definitely not going to have my opinion changed and should save my money?

Pretty much. See it once just to catch up on story for when justice league hits

Like I said, too much in one movie, still good but would have been better spread out.
