A New Game (Open RP)

Spoiler:

The speakers would start to play Akiha theme song, Fire by The Music as the young raven hair Japanese girl made her way to the ring.  The audience would boo her but she wouldn't pay any attention to it as she continued to make her way to the ring with a microphone in hand.  Tonight she was going to make history and no one was going to steal it away from her.  Akiha would climb the stairs before entering the ring.

The raven hair wrestler would then look around, taking a moment to take in the crowd as they continued to boo her.  She would wait a moment for the crowd to stop dying.  This was her first promo in AFW and she was going to make it a good one.  Once the crowd died down, she would finally put the mic near her mouth.  “Greetings everyone, as you know I am Akiha Kosha.  I may not have been in AFW for too long but I've been throwing myself match after match after match.  But I have noticed something, these matches are always the same.  I mean the way you win is usually the same, the 3 pin count, submission or count out.  I mean sure there are a few other matches that have their own special rules but we rarely see them.” stated Akiha as she would then take a moment to pause.

“So I decided to create my own kind of match.” said Akiha as the crowd would suddenly start booing her again, not letting her finish.  The Japanese wrestler would close her eyes and wait for the audience to quiet down again.  “You can, at least, let me state the match rules before you start booing me.” said Akiha in a slightly annoyed tone.  “Now I call this match a continuous pin match.” stated the raven hair wrestler as she let the crowd take this in as they would now all start talking to one another trying to figure it out. “So let me explain the rules.  You need to get a ten pin count to win but... but your counts carry over.  So if say I pinned my opponent and got to a three count, the next time I pin them, the referee would continue her count from she left off and thus the next time her hand hit the mat, she would yell four.  Also, no winning by count out or submission.” announce Akiha as she allowed everyone to take a moment to think about it.

“So now that everyone in AFW has heard this, is there anyone that is willing to take me on in this first ever continuous pin match?” ask Akiha as she then lowered her mic and waited to see if anyone would accept her challenge.  If she could get a match and win it, she would go down in AFW history for not only creating a new match type but also being the first to win it.

"Hold up! Hold up! Hold up!" a familiar voice to Akiha would shout out over the speakers as O.Van quickly walked out with a mic in hand, dressed in his grey suit and slicked back hair. He was well acquainted with Akiha, or rather he would like to think so after the last encounter they had when they solidified a match between their two clients. Now he felt a little less intimidated now that there wasn't five women who would beat him senseless if he made a smartass comment, now he only had to worry about one.

"Miss Kosha, I'm a little hurt that you would take to an open challenge instead of coming to me or one of my girls for this auspicious event! A lot of people don't know this, but I am a huge history buff! I especially specialize in wanting to create history! O.Van claimed, which no one could really contest since no one besides a few of his clients really knew him. "I know of a girl, one of my clients actually, who would be much excited to be a part of history, in the first ever Continuous Pins Match! As the winner." he said, emphasizing on winner as he looked right at Akiha's eyes, "Hey, that's what she would say, I assure you! No one wants to see you beat me up." he said, wavering a bit as he was unsure of how true his last statement was.

As Akiha had just finished announcing her new match and open challenge a familiar voice filled the stadium.  The raven hair wrestler would turn around to see O.Van.  The two had met and were rivals in a way, not as wrestlers but as managers.  She would give a smile knowing that O.Van had a large roster of girls in his stable.

O.Van would talk about how he loved wrestling history and that one of his girls wanted to be part of it.  “Well Mr. O.Van, I wanted to give everyone a fair shot at creating history.  Still no need to be hurt, I intend to let you have one of your wrestlers take me on.  Though I have no intentions of losing, so your girl better be ready to become the first person to ever lose a Continuous Pin match.” stated Akiha in a confident tone as she gave a smile while stepping forward.  “So then, who is the person that wishes to face me?” ask Akiha as she then made her way back, giving O.Van a chance to talk.

Although Akiha showed some interest in taking his protege away from him and underneath her own wing, O.Van quite liked the opposing manager. He liked that she had a good head on her shoulders with a good mind for business, especially with the new match she came up with. It took ambition and courage to come out and announce such a challenge. Also gave him an opportunity to get the certain client of his off of his back and not drive his head into the ground.

"Oh it warms my heart seeing that we get to embark on such a endeavor together. And when I say 'we', I mean you and my client."

O.Van was delighted to see that Akiha had a feisty attitude regarding the match, refusing to accept defeat in her own match, and there was no reason why she shouldn't. "That's the spirit! The exact spirit that my client has. You see she's normally a tag team specialist, but recently she's been wanting to strike out on her own and prove that she can be a single's competitor! By no means because she and her sister haven't been in much matches." O.Van spoke as he walked around the ring, talking about his client, though pointed many hints at who wanted the spot.

"My client, one of my more recent employers is none other than Alicia! The Snow Rose, and don't be fooled by her name, is very fired up to stand on a single competitor stage and what better stage than a brand new match type?! I must really thank you, you have no idea how much you are helping me and her."

As Akiha stayed in the center of the ring, she listened to what O.Van had to say.  It looked like she would be facing someone who was part of a tag team.  When O.Van mentioned her name, Akiha didn't recognize it.  Still it didn't really matter, as long as they had a good match and Akiha won, it would be all good.  Once O.Van was done talking she would step forward again.

“You can thank me after the match though I think you might not be so inclined to do so after I win the match.  If you have no other issues then why don't we have Alice show up.  I don't want to keep the audience waiting or is she not ready yet?” ask Akiha as she placed the mic close to her face before backing off a bit and looking towards the crowd.  “Tell me, do you guys want to see this match right here and right now?” ask Akiha as she then placed the mic towards the audience who all cheered.

The one manager and part manager part wrestler where standing in the ring as the fans cheered for Akiha calling out Alicia. O.Van looked around at the reception and was in marveled at how the fans cheered for Akiha, a testament to her charisma. Or maybe they were cheering for Alicia to show up? Perhaps his client was the one who were excited for? Or most likely they wanted to see if this match was going to be as amazing as the two of them were saying it was going to be. The sleazy manager scoffed it off as the fans being stupid and falling for the simple cheap pops.

"Alicia is very much ready. She's hungry, she's waiting for an opportunity, this opportunity for the light to shine on her! And you're right, I think the match sound be, right now." O.Van said as Alicia theme started playing in the background as the manager left the ring, having done his part for his client and wanted no part in being in this spotlight anymore. It was time for the competitors to rock it.

Alicia soon exited the stage, wearing her white singlet. She looked like someone who was under a decent amount of pressure. Her body looked stiff and tense, which fit exactly the way how she felt. She had a matches that were personally important for her, but none where business and career wise important to her as this was. A victory here could lead to much better things in the league as she walked down the ramp, passing by O.Van who made his way to the back, giving each other a quick glance before Alicia raced towards the ring.

Sliding underneath the ropes and quickly getting to her feet, she locked eyes with her opponent across of the ring. She had butterflies in her gut, so for the moment she kept her mouth shut while she tried to get her emotions under control.
