The Fab Four?

Oh the beach.... the glorious beach. Alaina was happy to be at this Aussie beach as part of a Friction promotion outside of Japan. Warm weather and the beach were like everyday givens to this southern Californian. Japanese winters would be brutal sometimes. Alaina knew there was popularity for AFW abroad but was surprised that it had such a loyal following down under. She was not complaining one bit.

Alaina had signed autographs with Julia, both clad in bikini's for the event. It was right on the beach, and it was warm enough for it. Alaina was wearing a royal blue bikini with a silky, metallica shine to it. Her title belt was also shiny, and Alaina was inseparable from that. Interviews, appearances... you name it she had it with her. Alaina and Julia walked along the beach over to a small set-up where they were told they would be doing an interview. "It feels so good to be back in the warmth ya know? I miss the beach so much its not even funny!" Alaina said to Julia as they approached. She was soaking in the heat and sunlight, taking it in like a solar powered amazonian wrestling machine. Everything just seemed so nice on this trip... the dojo ladies had a fair following down here, evident by the autograph crowd, cheers and attention from many of the male fans.

As the duo approached they saw Madison, the Friction reporter extraordinaire standing on what looked like a small stage that had four seats. "Huh.... who else is coming to this interview?" Alaina asked out loud as she walked up with Julia.

How long had it been since Julia had been able to go enjoy some time at the beach? Most of her summer had been spent in preparation for her efforts to capture the Entropy Championship. So the short answer to that question was, far too long, at least for Julia’s taste. So to be at one now, even for AFW-related purposes, was quite a welcome bit of enjoyment for the Higurashi dojo’s resident cowgirl.

Julia was wearing a red bikini with gold lining along the edges, perfectly matching her mask, which decorated her pretty blonde head.

Most of the day had consisted of signing autographs for fans along with Alaina, which had been a blast! The fans were Julia’s favorite part about her job, and it was always nice to interact with them. But now it was time to move on to the next part, an interview. And as she walked by Alaina to the set up area, she enjoyed the feeling of the warm sand beneath her feet, knowing after today it might be a little while before she’d have much time to come somewhere like here again.

“You said it, girl! We oughta talk to Junko and see if we can take a day or two off from trainin’ for a day like this back in Japan sometime this summer, don’t ya think?” she replied to Alaina as they drew near the stage. Like Alaina, she was a tad confused by the extra seats. “Not sure. No one said anything ‘bout anyone else bein’ here...did they?” It was entirely possible someone had mentioned it and Julia had just not been paying enough attention. Regardless, it seemed she and Alaina were in for a surprise one way or another.

A bikini contest. There was a time when Valley would’ve frowned very deeply at this whole idea.

That time just so happened to be about three years ago, when it became rapidly apparent that Slamazons Wrestling was on its last legs. The owner was desperate to shore up some cash, so he started appealing to the lowest common denominator, trying to play up the sexual aspect of having an all-women wrestling league. That had not been a pretty time. Valley did the deed, but hated every second of it, especially when no one showed up but a bunch of horny teenagers from the local college who probably hadn’t even watched a wrestling match since they hit puberty.

This time was different, though. The AFW was on good financial standing, so this wasn’t some cheap ploy to draw attention. It was just a little harmless fun with their audience, some questions, some posing, and an extra paycheck. Nothing wrong with any of that, especially when it:

a) Gave her a chance to show off her new bikini. White bandeau top, pink bottom, with a pair of matching sandals.
b) Gave her a chance to show off her new bikini along side her girlfriend/sparring parter/tag parter, Haley Cote. More commonly known as Silver Ace, the former Entropy Champion and continually rising AFW starlet.

”Finally,” Valley stretched out as she and Haley walked along the beach. ”Been wanting to get some sun for weeks now. Not exactly what I had in mind, but it’ll do.”

She looked over her shoulder and smiled Haley’s way. ”Like what you see back there?” Valley gave her girlfriend a quick wink and a little shake to go along with it.

Haley, who had been trailing behind Valley by a couple steps, let out a little "Eep!" and blushed, having been caught staring at her girlfriends cute butt and sexy legs. In the near two years since they had met, Haley had never been to the beach with Valley, and never had the chance to see her in a bikini until today. Needless to say, Valley rocked it so well that it was hard for Haley not to start drooling.

"Heh, you bet I do Val. You're the hottest girl on this beach!"

Not that Haley was any slouch herself. The silver haired (having dyed it today for the fan interaction) girl, taking advice from her friend Alaina after their last trip to the beach to "strut her stuff", she had come clad in a tight green bikini, only thin flaps covering the center of her breasts, with thin strings around the back end to connect them. Her bottoms, also green, couldn't be seen, covered by the small towel wrapped around her waist, flapping around her slender and tan legs.

This entire trip had been incredible. Between training and matches...and recovering from matches, it was rare that the two got to have a "Date Night", and once they learned they would be sent to Australia on a promotional tour, Haley insisted they leave a few days ahead of time for tourism, and it had been such a blast.

They had seen the sights of Melbourne, had visited big aquariums, even had somehow gotten lucky enough to get last minute scalper tickets to see AC/DC live at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall. They had gone shopping! Even better, every night had ended by going out to eat at some fancy restaurant before retiring to their hotel. Sure, it had been pricey as hell (making Haley secretly grateful for being rich), but had been SOOO worth it.

Today had been a "work" day though, interacting and signing autographs with fans on the beach, and later Haley would be competing in her first ever bikini contest. Nervous as she had been, she was also thankful that Valley was with her to help her through it.

Coming along to stage where they were to take part in a Q&A, Haley blinked in surprise to see two other girls already sitting in chairs over there.

"Hey! Alaina! Julia! Whats up!? We didn't know you were gonna be here too!?"

Alaina smiled as she saw the other two women approach. She was friend with both Valley and Ace, having spared with them and fought them in official matches. Sure she considered them high bench marks that she had mixed results against and wanted to beat them in the ring... but outside the ropes they were two of her favorite people. Aside from Julia, these two and Misaki Toyoda were probably her favorite ladies in Friction. "Julia, take a look at who is joining us! This is gonna be fun...." Alaina said with a grin to her best buddy and tag partner.

"Wow... look at you two. This interview got a whole lot more interesting and this bikini contest got a whole lot closer huh? How are you guys doing?" Alaina said a she approached, her arms held out wide to hug both women at the same time. Alaina looked over at Ace, grinning especially wide. "And for you, I have a special surprise today but I don't want to spoil it.... just you wait until the end of the interview." Alaina said with a playful wink. "So from my experience Madison is probably running late, checking over the questions she is gonna ask us. Whats new with you two? Got any exciting plans for taking Friction by storm?"

“Hm?” Julia heard a voice calling out to her and Alaina, and was pleasantly surprised to see it was coming from Ace. “Well hey there, gals! Same here, really, but nice to see ya both!” she said a she went along with Alaina to meet Ace and Valley, where she’d give both of them a hug individually.

Julia hadn’t ever met Madison before, but Alaina’s guess sounded perfectly plausible. That just meant they should have plenty of time to do some chatting before thing kicked off over here, so it was perfectly fine with Julia. Besides, she didn’t know Valley or Ace nearly as much as Alaina did. Couldn’t hurt to fix that a bit.

Oh, my. All the sudden, things got very interesting.

Valley wasn’t exactly surprised to see Alaina and Julia here - after all, they were two big faces in the company. Both of them coming off their hot Entropy match, one of them a champion, the other a hot talent and a girl many considered to be the best high flyer in the league. Strong contenders for the World Title in a year or so. Pedigrees didn’t get much better than that.

”No big plans so far, but the year is young.” She hugged Alaina, then eagerly moved on to Julia, giving her a happy embrace. ”It’s great to meet you, by the way. Big fan of your matches, cowgirl.” Valley skipped back and gave Julia a playful poke on the chest. ”Everyone keeps telling me how great you are in the air. Better than me, even.” Valley’s smile became a little devilish as she titled her head forward. ”We need to have a match, sometime.”

Haley joined Valley in greeting their buddies, giving Alaina and Julia a brief hug. She hadn't seen them since before Avalanche, though it looked like they had settled the entire "Dual Entropy Champion" situation.

"Hey girls! First off, lemme just say, Avalanche? HELL of a match you guys put on. I swear, it stole the entire show! That top rope Amabomb was awesome!"

She said, giving Alaina a congratulatory pat on the back for becoming champion, before turning to Valley and Julia.

"Oh good lord, you two in a match? Everyone will have to spend the entire time looking up and wondering just where you are. Still, would be pretty exciting to see."

Alaina grinned at the suggestion of Julia vs. Valley. That would be something she would do anything to see. "Oh man... I would end up in a neck brace just from trying to keep track of you two! Seriously, you speedy people are insane. Its enough to make a power wrestler nuts..." Alaina said with a shrug. "All your flying, diving, strikes and submissions make me feel like a punk for just being able to lift you all up over my head and press." Alaina was happy to see them though. As far as she was concerned Valley and Ace were both primed for the big time. They fought a few tag matches, and are just as good together as they were solo. In a lot of ways those two reminded Alaina of Sonic Boom.

As the women talked, a voice called out to the four bikini-clad grapplers as Madison came running up! "Terribly sorry to keep you waiting ladies, please take a seat so we can get started!" Madison said excitedly as a cameraman also ran alongside her. He set up and got a nice shot with all four women being interviewed in sight. "You all look absolutely stunning today, but lets not waste any more time! I have a few questions all from fans for this interview before you have your contest..." Madison said with a grin. "All righty, my first question is from 14 year old Yuki from Kyoto, and is for everyone on the panel. Since you have arrived in Friction, what has your favorite match been to watch? It can't be one that you participated in."

Alaina had to think about this one. She had seen a lot of great matches here. "Hey Yuki!" Alaina said, waving at the camera and smiling. "That is a tough question, because there are a lot of matches I could watch over and over! If I had to pick one, right now I would say Taylor vs. Adrian best 2 of 3 that match was insane!"

“Hey, right back at ya, girl!” Julia happily replied when Valley said she was a fan. And she wasn’t just being polite either. Julia had wanted to meet Valley for quite some time now. She’d watched several of the girl’s matches, and was more than impressed by what she’d seen. But she’d also heard about Valley’s stance on the Entropy division, and that had only made Julia respect her even more.

At the comments about a potential match between them - or rather, the comments about how hard it would be to follow the two of them, Julia couldn’t help but laugh a bit. “Well damn, now I really want to make it happen! Sorta funny ya mentioned that, actually. If I’d come outta Avalanche with the title, I was--” Her sentence was cut off as Madison arrived, alerting them it was time to start. “Oh. Well anyway, I’ll tell ya ‘bout it later.”

She smiled as she turned to face the camera with the others while the first question was asked. “Hmm... Tough one, but I think for me it was Taylor vs Angel at... Angel also had a match with River Styx that I really loved. Oh, and I watched Alaina’s match with Kei a lot to get ready for Avalanche. Wouldn’t have admitted it then, but damn that was a great match.” she said, chuckling and giving Alaina a little nudge with her elbow.
