The Arisawas vs. The Rodriguezes - World Warriors

"Hrrk!"

Goto's eyes bulged as he was roughly pulled up to a standing choke. His feet shuffled but despite the position, he felt much more confident than he had just a few moments ago. His hand went up and grabbed onto Army's head. He then pushed his hips forward and then thrust them backwards, trying to drive them into Army's hips and put him off balance.

Goto then arched his back, trying to flip Army over him and put him on his butt on the canvas and reverse the hold, but with Army still in a sitting position.

”Yup.” Army pulled Goto up, higher and higher, tighter and tighter, looking to squeeze the life right out of him and drop his ass flat on the mat. ”Thought you’d say that.”

Granted this wasn’t the most glamorous way to win a match, but if it got the job done? Fine. He’d seen a taste of what Goto could do with Carmen, and he didn’t feel like playing around too much. A solid idea, but one that flew out the window when Goto’s hand grabbed a handful of his hair.

Up and over Army, crashing down hard on his butt after the world was done spinning. He’d move away from the ropes before, so that kept the crash from being as nasty as it could’ve been, but he was still unmoored and stunned for a critical moment.

Once Army was planted on the canvas, Goto reached up and wrapped one of his thick, muscular arms around Army's throat and firmly secured the chokehold. Although he was pretty sure that Army wasn't going to be able to snapemare him the way Goto just had, he wasn't going to leave anything to chance.

Goto dropped to his butt and wrapped his arms around Army's legs and then tried to lean back, hoping to lock his ankles together and put the Rodriguez boy in a tight scissors while he leaned back and put even more strain on Army's neck. It wasn't exactly a triangle or armbar, but Goto thought that maybe he could get Army to either tap or pass out in this hold.

In hindsight, Army should’ve seen this coming. Goto seemed to have some sort of MMA/Karate thing going on, so these tight sort of holds were right up his alley. Probably should’ve moved closer to the ropes before he had the chance to lock anything in.

But he missed that opportunity. Instead, Army - big, strong Army - got wrapped up by Goto and found himself on the floor, thrashing around from side to side. He reached for the ropes, but they were far away even for his long arms. The best he could do at the moment was struggle and pull at Goto’s wrists, desperately looking to break the hold.

”Off...me….” He growled through his teeth, with what little air he had left to spare.

"Ha! Still talking?!" Goto chastised while he arched his own backm trying to bend Army's body while adding pressure to the scissors and the choke. "Waste your breath! Fine by me!" Goto continued to tease. Though he was a professional, Army's own loose tongue as well as finally getting in a spirited fight against another pro like himself and, to some extent, being in a setting that was somewhat new to him was exhilarating enough for him to talk a little bit of smack back.

‘Talking’ was probably going a little bit too far when it came to describing what Army was doing. It was more like he was making a weird, sputtering sound that was somewhat reminiscent of words. It was just about the best he could do, really - he was fading and fading fast. The ropes were far away, Goto was on him tight, and things were looking exceedingly bleak.

Carmen made the call, after a moment’s deliberation: she had to intervene.

She stepped through the ropes, slid over, and gave Goto a quick kick in the back of his head, hoping it would be enough to make him let go of the hold. The crowd immediately broke into jeers and the referee started pushing her back to the corner, where she went with her hands up and not a word of protest. The damage had been done.

Goto's eyes widened. He was completely caught off guard and it came sharply. A stiff grunt of pain escaped his lips, but it had done the job. Goto released Army, shoved him and rolled to the side. Wincing, he pushed to his hands and knees and looked around just in time to see Carmen sliding back out of the ring.

Goto hopped up to his feet and stared down the female Rodriguez. "How shameful." He barked and motioned back to Army. "Stripping your own brother of his honor!" After another shake of his head, he turned back. He knew he couldn't leave Army to his own devices.

Studiously examining Goto and Army whaling away at eachother, Natsu's eyes never pried from the masterful exhibition of walloping strikes and submissions. This was exactly the kind of throw down fisticuffs that got her blood pumping. The kind of raw and visceral combat that all the other girls in her high school could never quite appreciate for some reason....Whatever, they were weird.

She stood on her tip toes throughout the entire exchange, having to offer credit where it was due. That Army guy was really holding his own. But now she felt kinda regretful about blowing him off at the beginning of the match when she was going all gaga over Carmen. Natsu felt even worse when Goto started to cinch in what looked like a dragon sleeper. Whatever it was, it looked like it sucked. Still, it was kinda inevitable. Nooobody beats her big bro when he starts getting into his groov-....

"Hey!!"

Natsu's internal admiration of her bro would come to an immediate halt when Carmen booted Goto upside his head with a blindsided kick. Vaulting over the top rope and sprinting straight towards the interfering Rodriguez, Natsu had ill-tempered revenge on her mind as she stepped on the small of Army's back and leapt off his unintended support structure to attempt a high-flying forearm smash to the back of Carmen's head!!

Carmen didn’t do what she did without knowing how Goto would react. Even though they’d known each other for a small amount of time, he struck her as a pretty straightforward man, and all his earlier rambling about wanting to take on Army spelled it out. He didn’t want to be interrupted.

Well, too bad. Carmen didn’t want to lose. And while she wasn’t going to outright cheat, a little skirting to save the team suited her fine.

What Carmen didn’t expect was the short cheer that came from the crowd afterwards out of nowhere, and she certainly didn’t expect a heavy blow to crash against the back of her head. She took a header off the apron and fell flat to the floor a second later, where she took a spell to lay there on the floor with wide, blinking eyes. She wasn’t quite sure what happened, but she knew enough to be pissed off by it.

Army was a bit confused by...all of this, really.

Didn’t get what happened with Carmen, didn’t get what was happening with Natsu. Still, he knew a golden opportunity when he saw one, and when Goto turned around, he went for it. The Puerto Rican Bomber popped up, wrapped his around his chest, jerked back and tried to send him flying away with a catch-and-release belly-to-belly suplex, hoping he could get some serious hang time with the move.

Goto had almost no time to react as Army closed in and wrapped his arms around him when he turned around. Bringing their manly chests together briefly in a tight squeeze, Goto's struggle was brief and his chance to retort verbally reduced to a growl of surprise as he was lifted up and impressively heaved to the canvas by the male Rodriguez. The Japanese warror sailed through the air for a moment before crash landing onto the canvas a few feet away from Armando.

"Gh! Nnnnghhhh...."

Hitting the canvas with a hard thud, Goto groaned and wearily tried to roll onto his hands and knees and begin the slow process of trying to stand up.
