UK Elite vs Amanda Freeheart and James Justice.

Standard Tag Team match won via pinfall or submission

In the back Ryan and John were preparing for their first tag match of the new year, they wanted to start this on the right foot. The last match had been at the Tension Climax PPV against the number one contenders Sion and Daisuke, which had ended up in a no contest. But the fact of the matter was that during the match Ryan had ended up tapping out and nearly fell unconscious, something that he knew wouldn't be forgotten. The match in the end was a wash, but the proof was shown that the enemy nearly prevailed and obtained the belts. This year was a chance to set the record straight, and set up some momentum and re-establish their dominance. After all in spite of that slight in the last match, the UK Elite's W/L record was not to be denied.

Mr Knight was dressed in his usual attire, the MMA shorts was reserved for more significant matches. When the belts were on the line for example, John meanwhile stayed as he usually was with a white shirt and black jeans and boots. With as always his trademark blue leather trenchcoat, Lucy had taken her seat up in the VIP booth. To sit comfortably as her right hand man and Brother destroyed the competition while sipping on some wine.

The paragon of Britain had looked over the opponents for tonight's bout, Amanda Freeheart was someone he'd fought before awhile ago. It was a rather simple affair, though she did end up kissing him after the match. Something that thankfully hadn't ever been brought up again, for he feared the wrath of Anampo. And the other opponent was James Justice, who frankly was only noteworthy because of the lopsided matches he had been in.

Most notably against the 3 members of the new group SEME, who if Ryan was honest just seemed like a bunch of hot air blowers. In fact they only popped up on the UK Elite's radar because of that match, as shocking as that might sound. When it came to critics for the most part they all just sounded the same after awhile, they had to be more noteworthy. Like Sion and Daisuke, they at least proved skilled in the ring.





The British duo gave a nod to each other, they were all smiles tonight. Time to get the ball rolling, before they left their champions locker room Ryan and John grabbed their tag title belts. "Well my friend, it's time. Let's make an example out of these foes, show them that good old British might." Mr Knight said as they made their way through the backstage area.

John smirked and slapped Ryan on the back and said "Heh, too right pal. Honestly I'm looking forward to this, be a nice change of pace to fight against some other folks."

The lights in the arena proceeded to go pitch black, and a union jack patterned spotlight began at the ring. And then that was then the theme song of the UK Elite began to play, the song known as Imperial Code II the spotlight danced around the arena till the 0:48 mark of the song. At which point it bathed the tension tag champs as they entered, to as always a mixed response.

Since their inception the UK Elite had been very divisive amongst the fans of Tension, they were either politer than thou spotlight hogs. Or honourable champions who had breathed new and much needed life back into the tag division of Tension. Mr Knight and John merely smiled and nodded, gone was the usual elaborate entrances of Britain's finest. No limos or royal guard here.

Ryan and John walked down the entrance ramps, making sure the shine of their title belts was noticed. Those belts were proof that they were the champs, polished to a mirror like sheen. The paragon of Britain and the master of creation then climbed up the steps to the apron, John opened them to allow Ryan to enter first. However being the British gentleman that he was Ryan first wiped his shoes on the apron as if it were a mat, with a joking smile that earned a chuckle from the artist.

After entering the ring Ryan and John would stand at opposite corners of the ring, giving a nod to each other the young men would stand up and lift the belts up high. A sign to show they had the gold, and it was theirs. Once the basking in the limelight was done the British duo would both stand at one corner, awaiting their opponents. This was the chance to talk and plan for the battle ahead.....

James met up with his partner before the music began to play and he had to admit, he was pretty impressed. They left for the ramp without saying a word before they got to the top of the ramp. Amanda just stared while James grinned, "They don't look to tough." James began, but Amanda just looked at him like he had just said something in another language. She then turned back to the ring and walked down, sliding under the ropes and standing in her corner. James soon followed behind, climbing onto the ropes but remaining outside of the ring, allowing Amanda to start off the match.

Well the enemy made their way to the ring, Ryan and John took the chance to get some light stretching in while muttering to each other. They had already discussed what they would be doing in this matchup, James and Amanda didn't seem like they knew each other very well. Probably just met, so they might find out that they worked out naturally. But Mr Knight would believe it if he saw it.

Though this sudden meeting of the enemy team would work as a benefit to Britain's finest, who had built a strong rapport with the other. Still that didn't mean it would be easy, James didn't exactly have a stellar record in terms of in-ring competition. But that was just a rough statement than anything else, Amanda was someone Ryan had met in the past too. Probably the better out the two.

Though this was just estimations, nevertheless the UK Elite made it a habit of scouting the enemy before entering battle. After all it was better to scout rather than send the flagbearer first, it seemed as if Amanda was starting first for her team.

"Going first boss?" John muttered, Ryan simply nodded and gave a smile to the artist. Mr Carnaby stood on the apron, bouncing lightly from side to side.

Ryan was usually stoically calm in the ring, but Amanda had encountered the young Brit before. And had seemed like a decent sort, so Ryan would give her a small smile and say "Hm, good to see you again." before he settled into his stance. When the bell rung Mr Knight wasn't in a rush to get things started, instead he'd step around a little. Before trying to move in for a elbow and collar lockup, Amanda was a bit of a big girl in comparison to most women. So Ryan decided that maybe trying to slam her about wasn't the best method, at least not at this point.

Amanda smiled at Ryan as James nodded and stepped out of the ring, "It's good to see you to deary, how have you been?" she chuckled and bounced on the balls of her feet to try and get her blood flowing before moving forward to meet with Ryan, offering her hand, "I hope we have a wonderful match, though I'm sure the outcome of this one will be much more different than our last match." she smiled and stepped back a little, waiting for the bell, "As you can see, it isn't just the two of us fighting this time and my partner is rather tough." she smiled and began to circle around the ring.

Well Mr Knight would admit, Amanda had a rather cheerful nature. It was good to see, and he wanted to make sure that this was a good match. That was always the objective, well second to winning of course. As the tag champs Ryan and John made sure to try and set the bar, as was their role in holding the belts after all.

"How have I been? Well I'm a champ now, funny how that turns out I suppose. Yes let's have a good match, though don't be so certain of your victory Ms Freeheart. It's admirable you have faith in your partner though, one cannot be a tag team otherwise." Ryan stated as he stood ready to go while motioning with his head to John, who merely nodded. It wouldn't be long before the bell rang, and that was the indicator that it was now go time.

The paragon of Britain circled the ring in a way similar to Amanda, though he made certain not to stray too far from his corner. Tag teaming 101 there, once Ryan neared his opponent however he'd try to lunge forth and trap Amanda into a collar and elbow tieup. Whereupon Mr Knight would try to deliver a couple of swift knees into her gut, Ryan wanted to play aggressive here and get the ball rolling in the favour of the UK Elite.

Amanda grinned a little and moved up to engage the brit in the collar and elbow tie up. She pushed against him a little bit before she found herself bent over with the wind knocked out of her. Her midsection hurt and she groaned before his knee connected with her midsection again, causing her to rise off the mat a little bit before she gasped for air, coughing a little. She felt like she was about to vomit from how hard the knee strikes were and her legs began to give out on her, causing her body to drop a little.
