Danika Gorski vs. Beyonce

Danika was getting dressed, wearing a red mini-skirt and black tank top along with her black knee-length boots. She was just humbled in her last match, and sure wasn't about to let some woman named after a singer get the best of her. Not a chance. She worked her way from the locker room towards the ramp, waiting for her song. Danika normally felt confident about these matches. She had the speed and technique. she was good. She.... just hit a few roadblocks along the way. Its not like she never won any matches, she did win! Once. And she was going to do it again!

As Danika made her way out, she heard a smattering of booing, along with scattered applause. It seemed like people still didn't know who she was... or care who she was? Impossible. She was destined to show the rest of Friction that she was among the best around. She climbed up onto the apron and through the ropes, into he ring. Danika stood in the center of the ring with her hands on her hips, looking up the ramp for this Beyonce woman. She sneered as she looked forward to kicking this woman into next week by the time this matchup was done.

For now, Danika was to wait.

After a pause in the crowd's fanfare, there was a long pause. However, when the crowd was anticipating Danika's opponent, instead they got Helvetica Lee, bursting onto the ramp. Even before Helvetica's injury, it would have been a less than exciting match-up: the pudgy American was a top-rated fighter in her own mind, alone. Even for a rookie like Danika, it wouldn't have been an even match.

Helvetica, however, seemed to pay it no mind. She exploded onto the entrance ramp wearing her regular ring gear, with a strange addition: a sports jacket, slung over her shoudlers, barely hiding the sling that kept her broken arm in place. There was a mixed reaction from the crowd. Some booing, from those that recognized the American. Some cheers, from the few that hoped Danika would be beating the hell out of her, tonight. But the "student of the game" recognized either group of fans, as she walked down to ringside, fixing her gaze against Danika's deep brown eyes.

Walking the entire circumference of the ring, Helvetica finally stopped at the announce team's table. She picked up a headset, then looked up to the entrance ramp. She said something, but the live crowd wasn't privy to it. Frustrated at the lack of reaction, Helvetica held her hand out, insisting on a microphone. Eventually, someone on the ring crew gave her one.

"Ladies and gentlemen," she said, huskily, "I just asked you. Are. You. Ready?" She paused, before stepping away from the table and toward the ring. "Are you ready to see the display of power and form in perfect harmony? To see AFW competition graced by a legitimate competitor? A shoot fighter that will stop at nothing, to see her enemies driven before her? To see that poor girl in the ring" she paused for a second, then glared up at Danika, "laid waste before your very eyes?

"Then please, fix your eyes on the ring," she said, leaning back against the table, "as we welcome Beyonce!"

"Then put your hands together, and show your appreciation ... for Beyonce!

Helvetica's introduction was followed by rather calm and serine music. After only a few moments, from the entrance ramp stepped Beyonce. She was dressed in an oni mask, with a studded club across her shoulders and large prayer beads around her neck.

Her naturally toned and muscular body was as intimidating as her garb and she slowly walked down the ramp, keeping the hollow eyes of the mask focused on Danika. She had found Helvetica's introduction to be rather obnoxious, but she understood what she was getting herself into when dealing with the American. It was Helvetica's job to be loud and speak in Beyonce's stead. She was good enough for that.

As the Japanese-Egyptian stepped into the ring, she began to slowly peel off the outfit. First, the mask and the club, then the prayer beads. Then the wrist guards, leaving her only in a pair of slightly loose red pants and boots, with her chest and wrists taped up quite tightly.

After a moment of stretching, her red eyes focused on Danika as her face gave no trace of emotion. She was ready for the bell.

Danika smiled slyly at Beyonce as she came to the ring. It wasn't the singer, thats for sure. As the bell rang Danika waste no time getting to it. She wanted to come at Beyonce as quickly as she could and pound away at her foe! "Let us get this underway, yes?" Danika said as she suddenly ran right at Beyonce!

Danika rushed in and went low, looking to swing her hips around with her leg extended to sweep Beyonce's legs out from underneath her!

Beyonce only gave Danika a curt nod as she spoke. She was ready for the bell, and when it rang, and Danika charged forward, Beyonce did the same. She was ready and eager for the lock up, so when the sweep came, she was caught off guard.

Grunting as she hit the the canvas, she winced, but tried to roll onto her hands and knees to hop quickly back up to her feet.

Danika smiled as her sweep worked, but this Beyonce seemed to not want to stay still for long. Danika got to her feet just as Beyonce did, perhaps she just needed more persuasion to stay down? Women like this bugged Danika, did they not simply realize she had them outclassed? She did not care that Beyonce was in much better shape and bigger, that didn't really matter as Danika was confidently preparing her next move!

Danika swung her foot up, aiming a fast kick right to the side of Beyonce's head!

Beyonce was just getting ready to plant herself and regroup when the kick came fast at her head. She barely got an arm up, unable to keep the foot from grazing her head and making her stumble backwards.

Her features narrowed into a deep scowl while she reeled, unappreciative of Danika's early leading strikes.

Danika could read the facial expressions of Beyonce and loved what she saw. The woman was frustrated. Danika imagined that Beyonce expected a total pushover based on Danika's record. She must have ignored match tapes. "Take someone lightly and you get burned do you not?"

Danika took a couple steps back before running straight at Beyonce, looking to jump forward straight at the woman knee-first aiming her knee right at Beyonce's chest!

Danika's moment to speak and the few steps she took back was enough for Beyonce to get her bearings straight. She regrouped and charged at Danika, coming at the girl and going high with a clothesline aimed at Danika's neck. Beyonce left her feet, looking to clear Danika's knee before it crashed into her.

Danika looked on in surprise as Beyonce showed that she had speed to go along with her strength! The clothesline caught her perfectly across the neck and Danika feel back to the mat hard! She clutched her throat as she let out a couple wheezy coughs, kicking the mat in pain.

"Damn it..." Danika muttered as she rolled over onto her side, trying to gather herself. However, Beyonce's clothesline was fast and packed power. This lean, muscular woman wasn't going to go down easy and she had shown she could inflict a lot of pain quickly...
