Seasonal Yuletide Christmas Bash Extravaganza!

If nothing else, the glistening silver of the tacks was remarkably festive with the Christmas attire.

Abattoir had spent more than enough time gallivanting on the mat amidst the thumbtacks; if she spent much more, her advantage would be lost. And so she planted her palms (impaling a couple tacks on her gloves), sat up, and was about to push herself upright when it became very clear that the advantage was already lost - Jessica was on her feet already, and the nak muay had just enough time to widen her eyes before a kick drilled her in the chest, snapping her back down to the mat.

The impact of shin to breastbone sucked, of course, but the slam back down to the mat was just as rough. A couple tacks glistened at the back of Abattoir's head, which had bounced off the canvas. She blinked again, dazed for a moment, and tried to roll over. It was probably a good idea to start working on getting up.

Despite it all, Jessica was feeling good. Despite the hundred tacks still very much implanted into her skin, despite the fact that a hard elbow earned her that particular reward, Jessica was feeling good as her kick found a temporary home in the center of Abattoir's chest. She supposed that was a good part of getting her ass kicked so much as a child, the fact that she could take a lot of damage and keep going.

Now it was time to see exactly how much damage the masked girl could take. She had one roll away but unfortunately that was not quite enough to get out of the range of Jessica. All it took was one big step and Jessica was standing over her. She bent down to try and pick her up.

Perhaps it was a bit premature, but Jessica was nothing if not reckless. She tried to tuck Abattoir's head between her thick legs and pick her up. From there, she would go for a tombstone piledriver. If the move came off, it would be Abattoir head first into the tacks. If it failed, Jessica would be wide open.

It was impossible to be stealthy in thumbtacks, given the way they crunched, and so Jessica's arrival was announced several seconds in advance. Abattoir aborted any further attempts at getting up and waited for the other girl to arrive. Often in past matches, she'd gained an advantage by conserving her energy and waiting for her opponents to think she was more dazed or hurt than she really was, only to surprise them with a well-timed counter.

As it turned out, either this was one of those times or she was capital-D Dead, because they were barely past the opening blows and Jessica was now trying to fucking tombstone her. Abattoir hissed in surprise as she was flipped upside down (and the crowd let out a collective "awwww" of disappointment upon discovering that, despite the mandatory Christmas costume, she was still in compression shorts under the skirt) and began thrashing wildly, trying to unbalance the Violent Violet. Even being let go and falling onto the tacks was preferable - eating a piledriver on them would do massive damage.

Once she was able to get a little leeway, shifting from side to side and trying to make Jessica stumble, Abattoir snapped quickly into Part 2 of her plan. Her legs, already in perfect position, scissored tightly around the other girl's neck, and she pushed off with her hands, trying to take her opponent down. It wasn't exactly the best plan, but Jessica was bigger and probably stronger than she was, so simply trying to power out would've probably gotten her wrecked. Instead, she had to use all her momentum to try to counter - high risk, but given the alternative, a risk she was happy to take.

Well, this had gone less than smoothly. Jessica had managed to get Abattoir halfway there, but the other half was the crucial one and in the critical moment, the thrashing proved to be too much. The Violet Violet could not steady the masked girl and soon toppled over. While it wasn't technically a botch, it sure as hell felt like one. She let Abattoir go as she plunged down to the mat, right onto her bottom.

A few curses were enough to get her back into the game. It was foolhardy to go for such a big move that early on in the goings, but Jessica didn't regret it. Her opponent would know that she was pulling out all the stops from the get-go so it wasn't all bad. She brushed a few more tacks off her front while she got up.

Jessica prepared herself for battle. It was an awkward move and both of them needed a moment to get their head back in the game in Jessica's estimation. Her arms were at the ready and her center of gravity was low. Let this masked girl come, she thought.

Whew, free. Abattoir flailed a bit as the two toppled over, then scrambled away. Jessica seemed stunned for the moment; having narrowly avoided being murdered, the nak muay had a chance to catch her breath. Holy shit, this one didn't play around. It was always fun to face an opponent with some real killer instinct, though, so it wasn't like she took it personally.

Speaking of killer instinct, time to grab a weapon while her opponent was still recovering. Abattoir grabbed one of the merrily-wrapped presents from around the ring, untied the bow, and popped the top off. One arm rummaged around inside the box. What would it be? Brass knuckles? More lighttubes? A staple gun, even? She withdrew her hand...

...it was a big plastic novelty candy cane. Light as a feather and, worse yet, playing a cheerful rendition of Joy To The World that sounded like a music box. Abattoir stared in annoyance as the crowd roared with laughter, then flung the candy cane into their midst (braining some poor guy at ringside) and threw her hands up in frustration.

Jessica was back on her feet by the time she turned around, and so Abattoir rushed her, trying to sink in a headlock and take control back. Candy canes. Ridiculous.

Jessica couldn't help but smirk. Her opponent looked so sure that she was going to get something awesome from her little bag, but only a hokey plastic candy cage emerged. Ineffective at best, and fucking ridiculous at worst. To Jessica's dismay, she then bullrushed. The girl should stick to Asian bullshit, Jessica thought, because anyone could see this headlock coming from a mile away.

Despite the fact that Abattoir had telegraphed her move like it was urgent news to Dodge, Jessica still knew that she had to act with great speed if she wanted to breathe and move freely. She planted her weaker left for for leverage and spun. Not just because it was pretty, not just because it was elegant, but because it was pretty elegant, the way the spinning back kick came off.

It was more of an MMA move then it was a wrestling move, but the Violent Violet was sure it would stop the masked girl right in her tracks. Although, she wouldn't be able to see her target, Abattoir's rib cage, while she was facing the other way...

In her urgency to maintain the advantage (fucking candy canes wasting her time), Abattoir had gotten way ahead of herself, and her haste ended up leaving a serious opening for her opponent to exploit.

She was on her way in to grab hold of Jessica when the other girl turned, pivoting in place, and by the time she realized it wasn't an attempt to avoid her so much as an attempt to spin into a kick, it was way too late to do much more than try to back up. Momentum proved to be way too much to overcome, though, and Abattoir took the shot right in the solar plexus. In a sense, she'd done half of Jessica's work for her - running forward had added quite a bit to the impact.

Winded for the moment, Abattoir dropped to a knee. One hand clutched just under her ribcage, at the spot she'd been kicked in, and for the moment her attention was entirely on the world being full of pain. Ohhhh shit, that one had hit hard. This meant war.

There was always a shock of pain that came with a good kick. Her foe had helped her by running into it she supposed but that didn't alleviate the electricity that shot through her leg. She brought her leg down and quickly sprang into action. Jessica was more used to using her body to bring pain but this was a no DQ match, so the Violent Violet went to go grab something brutal and painful and nasty.

She had to move quickly and quickly she moved. Her long legs helped her traverse the distance to the grab bag quickly and she rifled through it. From the bag two light tubes emerged, one red and one green. 'Tis the season she reckoned, for gifts and chaos. Jessica moved back to her hopefully still kneeling opponent.

A kick could take a lot out of a girl. Two light tubes smashed over a head could take a whole lot more. The Violent Violet raised both tubes up very high and brought them down. She of course was aiming for her opponent's head, but if they landed on her at all Jessica would be content.

Lighttubes incoming. She had to move.

Abattoir tried to focus every ounce of her energy into getting herself to move, but the shot to the gut had left her dazed. Her muscles weren't responding. And now, as she was paralyzed, practically locked inside her own body, Jessica was drawing closer with the tubes. She had to move, or else this was going to be over. She had to move she had to move she had to move--

The burst of energy came just as the Violent Violet raised the lighttubes. Much later than Abattoir would've liked, but there was at least enough time to move. Small favors. She burst forward in a sudden explosion of movement toward Jessica's waist and took both tube shots across her shoulders, and the glass shattered, lacerating the skin on her back - oh this fucking Christmas costume, her normal ring gear would've protected her there - but it wasn't her head, and she was still conscious.

There was a hiss and a pained exclamation through gritted teeth, but adrenaline kept her going despite the agony of the glass. The nak muay shoved forward, trying to double-leg her opponent down to the mat. She could feel the hot blood steadily streaming down her back, and grimaced. Fuck. She was getting the shit beaten out of her in this thing.

Jessica yelled. First in frustration as the tubes did not quite hit her opponent's head, then in surprise as the girl lurched forward towards her legs. There was too little time and too little space for Jessica to do anything about it at ll and she hed her legs requisitioned from her as she was taken down to the mat. The white canvas came up to meet her and she let out a sharp "Oof!"

Ground game was slow and boring and Jessica wasn't as god at it as she wanted to be. Standing up, Jessica was a force to be reckoned with but on the ground she felt like a neutered dog. Her strength and experience lent her some abilities but for the most part she was not as good as she should have been. The blood streaming down Abattoir's back consoled her a little bit but for the most part Jessica was not a happy camper.

Jessica brought her hands up in a guard. Abattoir was now on top and that meant that she was in a dominant position, much like if they were going at it another way. She peeked over her fists to see what would come her way and try to be ready for it.
