Muriel Spencer vs. Death Bunny ~Today's Subject: Zoology 101! Today's Lesson: Lagomorphs!~
Standard Match
Winning Conditions: Pinfall, Submission or Knockout
With a look of determination on her face, and her usual theme music blasting from the speakers around her, Muriel Spencer stepped out onto the entrance stage of the AFW Arena. Her gaze was affixed firmly to the ring that lay in wait at the bottom of the ramp. Without hesitating, she began the long march towards it, the teacher's steps seemingly confident, but on the inside her heart was pounding against her chest.
It had been a little over a year since Muriel had taken part in any televised matches. She hadn't been resting on her laurels, of course. She had done a small bit of touring and public appearances for the AFW, and had been in more then a few un-aired dark matches and house shows. She had been keeping herself busy and keeping herself in shape, but fighting always felt different to her when she knew more people were watching. The main televised arena meant more people in the audience, not to mention the countless viewers watching at home, and after a year of absence from TV, she hoped she could still put on a good show.
Adding to her slight nervousness was her opponent for the night. Death Bunny. She had groaned when she had heard the name, both because of her knowledge of Death Bunny's particular style of viciousness, and because she had a certain distaste for bunnygirls, after a certain Avalanche match a few years before.
Nonetheless, she had vowed to do her best and win the match tonight, and as she reached the ring, she took a deep breath to calm her nerves and climbed straight up the ring stairs, stepping onto the apron and through the ropes. She didn't waste much time posing or gesturing to the cheering audience, simply offering them a simple smile and a wave as her greeting, the blonde heading straight for her corner. Her music died out, and she focused her gaze on the entrance to the arena, patiently awaiting her opponent's arrival.

#DeathBunnyvsSpencer
Several unanswered seconds would pass by before pitch darkness descended upon the arena and the ghastly pulsations of D.B.'s techno theme encompassed the arena. Grisly and morose images of deathly symbols on the Titantron would be the main source of illumination, dampening the alleviated mood from the previous entrance. Her wide-brimmed hat kept her lowered head hidden from sight as the bunny girl trudged out from behind the curtains with her hands in her tattered trench-coat pockets.
Their was a certain buzz of anticipation surrounding this match considering it was her first on-screen tussle since her notoriously infamous handicap match several months back. Her heinous track record in the ring having earned her a reputation of someone who although may not get many opponents on her dance card, her appearances and the controversy-laden aftermath that ensues are absolutely worth the prolonged absence.
Beneath her perpetually scowling facade, D.B. was earnestly aching to put her skills to the test once more without the unnecessary baggage or drama that came from the Dojo/Coalition feud. Constant training bouts and the occasional underground money fight were keeping her primed and focused in the meantime, although this very well may have just been something to sharpen her teeth on until Kelly eventually comes crying to her once more to save her All-American backside.
Stomping up the steel steps until she finally entered the ring, D.B.'s tipping of her hat off her purple haired head would signal the house lights to brighten up the arena and for her theme to fade away. The sinful appeal of her scant attire combined with her notorious reputation led to rather a mixed reaction of fervent boos and mild catcalls. After hooking up her hat and trench-coat on the metal turnbuckle, D.B. would approach the middle of the ring with a cock-eyed expression towards Spencer. In her head swearing that she looked eerily similar to one of her middle school teachers...
"You know, your sumo buddy has been a particular 200 pound pain in the ass for me..." Bunny addressed towards Spencer in a commanding tone with her arms folded across her puffed out chest. Briefly researching Spencer's past brought up that little tidbit of information that tied her to Akashi...

Re: Muriel Spencer vs. Death Bunny ~Today's Subject: Zoology 101! Today's Lesson: Lagomorphs!~
Miss Spencer waited patiently in her corner, waiting for the music that would herald the arrival of her opponent. A second went by, then another, and as time moved forward the teacher began to grow impatient. She folded her arms over her chest with a huff, beginning to anxiously tap her foot against the mat.
When the first sounds of Death Bunny's theme began to play, it's steady beat pounding through the arena, the teacher breathed a short sigh of relief, taking a pair of steps out of the corner. She leaned forward, trying to watch Death's entrance through the darkened arena. It was hard to get a good look at the woman through the pitch blackness that surrounded the ring.
She waited for Death to finally enter the ring, and when the lights came back on, she quickly began to look over the bunny's body, mentally sizing her up. It wasn't hard to do, not with Death's lack of attire, and after a moment of inspecting her she nodded in approval. Death seemed fit, and strong, and given her reputation, Muriel knew she was going to have a rough match ahead of her. It was perfect for her return to televised matches.
She stepped forwards to meet Death in the center of the ring, and opened her mouth to greet her opponent. However, Death addressed her first, and the sound of the bunnygirl's words caused the teacher to frown, looking at her with a sour look.
"Miss Warrens," she began, after loudly clearing her throat. "Miss Tanikaze and I are hardly buddies with each other. Please, do not confuse her and I as friends or anything. We were a team, once, and we were hardly even that."
She shook her head, the reached out, offering Death a hand. "Regardless. It is good to meet you, and I am quite looking forward to this match."

Re: Muriel Spencer vs. Death Bunny ~Today's Subject: Zoology 101! Today's Lesson: Lagomorphs!~
D.B. grimaced from the first introductory words out of the Canadian teacher's mouth. Hearing Spencer's authoritarian manner of speaking and being addressed by her last name like that brought up unpleasant memories of middle school. D.B. was still racking her bunny eared head trying to remember the name of the teacher Spencer eerily reminded her of, knowing that it was going to be nagging her for the rest of the night.
"Well...anyone who doesn't consider that fat-headed rikishi a friend already gets a few points in my book. Put er' there..." D.B. remarked after peering down at Spencer's outstretched hand, leaving her hanging for a few seconds before extending her own and reciprocating the gesture of good will with a hearty handshake. "Gotta say, I'm glad to see you're past experiences with bunny girls hasn't soured you towards the rest of us. Trust me, we're not all as obnoxious as those two~..." D.B.'s uncharacteristically warm greeting would continue for as long as it took for the bell to ring, prolonging the bewildering friendliness and never letting go of Spencer's hand in the meantime.
Though once it finally did, D.B. would immediately drop the façade. Narrowing her eyes and using her handy grip to attempt to yank Spencer forward and put her flexing arms to the task of binding themselves tightly around the teacher's slender waist. The deathly bunny girl hoisting her at least two feet off the canvas before just as swiftly slamming her back first to the mat in a ring shaking spinebuster, rebounding back up to her knees afterwards.

Re: Muriel Spencer vs. Death Bunny ~Today's Subject: Zoology 101! Today's Lesson: Lagomorphs!~
It took Muriel a moment to realize that something was up. She was trying to be trusting, despite Death Bunny's reputation. After all, you shouldn't judge someone by what you've heard about them, right?
But sure enough, D.B. yanked her in, squeezing the teacher against herself for just a moment before slamming her back down with the spinebuster. The blonde's body struck the canvas hard, Muriel letting out a loud, shocked grunt as the bunnygirl bounced back up to her knees above her.
She was stunned. She hadn't been expecting the cheap attack, and she had barely even realized that the bell had rung. She lied there a brief moment, trying to gather her wits, before slowly trying to sit back up again, completely open to anything else that Death might have planned for her.

Re: Muriel Spencer vs. Death Bunny ~Today's Subject: Zoology 101! Today's Lesson: Lagomorphs!~
Rebounding back up to a kneeling position after delivering the spine buster, D.B. remained straddling atop Spencer's abs and surveyed the damage with cold indifference in her eyes.
"Nope...some of us are waaay worse..." D.B. coldly remarked towards the floored teacher. Despite the somewhat unorthodox and obviously violent response to her congenial handshake, she initially took a vague liking to the blonde Canadian with the beehive hairdo. The honorable show of respect and professed animosity towards the rotund sumo were all earning Spencer points in D.B.'s book. The darkly bunny girl perhaps needing to practice on how best to express that in the future.
Hefting Spencer up that high had taken a little more wind out of her sails than she thought. Therefore D.B. opted to keep matters grounded for the time being and take advantage of having the teacher dazed and confused. With her blue jeaned rear keeping Spencer pinned down to the canvas, D.B. would lean over to yank Spencer up to a half seated position by grasping behind her neck. "I'd close my eyes if I were you, Teach..." Grinning down at Spencer, D.B. would attempt to club the floored teacher with multiple forearm strikes, allowing her to fall back to the canvas after each clubbing blow. Only for D.B. to raise her up by the back of her neck for the next one...

Re: Muriel Spencer vs. Death Bunny ~Today's Subject: Zoology 101! Today's Lesson: Lagomorphs!~
Muriel shuddered, as Death Bunny grabbed her by the back of her neck, forcing her back up into a sitting position. She lifted her arms to try and push the bunnygirl away, but she was still weak from the surprise attack, still trying to gather her bearings.
That's why when the first blow came in, she couldn't stop it. Death's arm met it's mark, and sent Miss Spencer back to the mat with a sharp cry of pain. She grabbed for her neck, rubbing it gingerly, but then the Gothic bunny pulled her back up, striking the teacher again.
And again.
And again.
Each of her blows met it's mark, and there wasn't much Muriel could do to stop her. She could feel the pain of the focused, repeated strikes surging through her skull and her neck, the teacher writhing uncomfortably beneath Death's body. She reached up weakly, trying to push the girl away again, even as she was pulled up for another blow.

Re: Muriel Spencer vs. Death Bunny ~Today's Subject: Zoology 101! Today's Lesson: Lagomorphs!~
Capitalizing on having laid out the well-mannered Canadian within seconds of them having introduced themselves, D.B. opted to keep Spencer grounded to the canvas by resorting to no frills brawling tactics. Namely by keeping Spencer pinned beneath her weight and wailing repeated forearm strikes into the primp instructor's cringing mug.
D.B. felt the rapid tapping on her shoulder by the referee urging her for some manner of separation considering the chaotic manner in which the match had kicked off. She scoffed but willingly obliged for the time being by rising off of Spencer, but not without one last disrespectful pie faced shove back to the canvas. The blatant sign of disrespect summed up her disappoint in Spencers initial performance, and would garner a chorus of boos from the audience now rallying behind the battered teacher.
D.B. would stalk the perimeter of the ring until the battered teacher would at least muster the energy to bring herself up to her hands and knees. Only then would she re-approach Spencer to dig her fingers into her beehive hairdo to hoist her back up the rest of the way and then attempt to place her in a constricting side headlock.

Re: Muriel Spencer vs. Death Bunny ~Today's Subject: Zoology 101! Today's Lesson: Lagomorphs!~
Muriel was slammed back down against the mat, but the relief of Death Bunny finally rising up off of her body was greatly appreciated. She needed a moment, a chance to shake off Death's stinging, clubbing blows, a chance to clear her head and get back up. Granted, she thought it was silly that Death was giving her any kind of a reprieve, but she wasn't going to look a gift horse (or in this case, a gift bunny) in the mouth, especially after her cheap opening attacks.
The blonde laid on the mat for several long seconds, then with a groan she rolled over onto her belly. She couldn't afford to rest for too long, not with the bunnygirl lurking around somewhere nearby.
She began to push up to her hands and knees, when she suddenly felt a sharp yank on her hair. A hiss passed through her lips, and she felt her tight hair bun starting to loosen, as Death started to yank her up to her feet. There it was. There was the end of her reprieve.
Before she knew it, Death's arms had snaked around her neck, and at once the teacher began to panic. She started to gag as she felt the headlock tightening around her, and her own hands shot upwards. They grabbed onto Death's arm and desperately began tugging on it, trying to loosen the hold before the darkly-clad bunny could torture her too much with it!

Re: Muriel Spencer vs. Death Bunny ~Today's Subject: Zoology 101! Today's Lesson: Lagomorphs!~
The brief moments of respite D.B. had opted to allow Spencer were a rare courtesy extended towards the Canadian instructor. Partially from the referee's shrieking in her ear to break up the beat down, but also from considering just how one sided things were progressing from just one simple slam. Since this was her first solo match in what seemed like an eternity since joining the Coalitions ranks, D.B. felt the need to prolong this encounter and get as much of a refresher course she could out of it. She was quite frankly feeling a little rusty, and considering that her last one on one opponent was kayoed in less than two minutes....D.B. felt the need to pace herself this time around.
"Tch..." Fastening the headlock with emphatic tugging strains, D.B. extended her toned leg back for a more centered balance throughout the hold. Her bulging bicep compressing against Spencer's cheek with aggressive reassertion's of the maneuver whenever Spencer felt herself close to making any leeway in squeezing her head free. Seconds ticked off the clock as D.B. continued her slower-paced but more methodical approach in wearing down Spencer.
Gritting her teeth from the torquing pressure she brought to the hold, D.B. would eventually walk the both of them towards the nearest ropes once Spencer was sufficiently whittled down in the headlock. If uninterrupted, the bunny girl would attempt to place Spencers prim face along the top rope with D.B.'s arm still encircled around it. Thus would start a tumultuous rope burn as D.B. would drag and scrape Spencer's face against the sharply threaded surface until they came to the nearest turnbuckle to have her pretty head slammed into.
