Making a Tough Call

Akiha was making her way out of the gym, ever since she had won the semi-finals of the Lighting Tournament and the Avalanche qualifier match, the raven hair wrestler had been pushing herself, hitting the gym more often and spending time with trainers to improve and expand her skills. She wanted to make sure she was at her best when she would arrive at Avalanche and more importantly she wanted to win and make a name for herself, to show her parents and everyone else that she was a real wrestler, someone to be taken seriously. Today she had spent several hours in the gym working out and learning new moves and as a result, her body was sore and she was pretty tired, thus the Japanese raven hair wrestler began to make her way to her locker room.

Hilde Von Creuzfeldt stepped deftly through the locker rooms of the AFW facilities with a small attache case swaying gently at her side. She didn't really like to bring business outside of the office, but Lukretia was out on business and this had to be done as Avalanche season was in full swing. She admitted to herself that she did like to get out of the office every so often, but she pushed that aside and tried to stick to her sense of obligation to her duties.

As she carefully and discreetly peeked around to try and find the girl she was looking for, she felt a small thump in her chest. She'd missed the locker room herself. With a sigh, she stopped at a point where she could see most of what was going on and carefully scrutinized the dark haired girls passing through.

She was looking for Akiha Kosha. She had a few matches under her belt but was still fairly new. Although Lukretia knew her name, for the moment she wasn't too interested in the girl so it fell upon Hilde. She just hoped the girl was actually around and she smiled in relief when she spotted the girl.

Striding up to the much shorter girl, dressed in her business suit and short skirt, she adjusted her glasses and then cleared her throat. "Excuse me, Ms. Kosha?" She asked, her German accent apparent even though her voice was quite gentle.

As Akiha was making her way down, she spotted someone who was looking at her before they began to say they needed to talk to her.  At first she didn't know who this was back then after taking a moment to think about it, she recalled the person.  Hilde, one of Lukretia assistants, Akiha had encountered her a few times due to the fact that she was also a manager. “Greetings Ms. Creuzfeldt, what do I owe the pleasure to seeing you again.” stated Akiha in a professional tone as she gave a soft smile though it was also clear that she was pretty tired and exhausted.

Akiha wondered what the assistant wanted with her.  She seemed to be dress very professional at the moment, unlike the Japanese wrestler who was currently wearing some shorts, a plain t-shirt and had a towel over her shoulder.  Though if Hilde had come out of the office to speak to Akiha it must be something urgent, otherwise they would have probably just sent an e-mail or something to arrange a meeting.

"Same." Hilde said with a gentle smile. She then wasted no more time, seeing the girl probably wished to shower and leave for the day. The German was thankful to have caught her.

"it's regarding Avalanche. It seems that you have made it to the finals of the Lightning Tournament. However, you have also qualified for the upcoming rookies match. Unfortunately, you will not be able to compete in both." Hilde said, frowning. "So, I must ask you which one you would prefer to be in." She gave the choice, but was pretty certain there was no choice at all to make.

Akiha listened carefully to what Hilde had to say, knowing it would be something important.  Hilde informed her that she could only part take in a single Avalanche event and would have to make a decision between the Avalanche rookie match and the Lightning Tournament.  The Japanese wrestler took a moment to think about it.  “The rookie match can survive without me but the Lightning tournament cannot.  So I will stay in the Lightning tournament and drop out of the rookie match.” stated Akiha in her usually professional tone as she then waited for Hilde response.

Hilde nodded and smiled. "I thought you might say that." She mused. "Well, I'll take care of the rest." She said and sat down on the bench nearby and opened the attache case she set on her lap. She pulled out a manila envelope and handed it to Akiha. "This is the contract information. Just sign it and bring it back to me as soon as possible."

Hilde stood up. "That's all I needed, Ms. Kosha. Is there anything else before I leave? Is everything going well for you here?" She asked genuinely.

Akiha nodded her head as she grabbed the envelope. She would need to read the contract carefully and probably reread it several times as well. “Thank you and yes, things are going pretty well for me, in fact, better than I had hoped. What about you, is AFW treating you well?” stated Akiha as she continued to speak in a professional manner.

Hilde brought her mouth to her hand to stifle a chuckle at Akiha's words. She understood the girl was trying to stay professional, but that was a particularly loaded and complicated question.

"Ahhhh, well... I would say Ja for the most part." She said, smiling. "I very well enjoy my job, but things are quite complicated as well. It's ok, though. Thank you for asking, Ms. Kosha." Hilde said and bowed politely.

Akiha nodded her head at what Hilde had said. It seemed she may have asked a complicated question without knowing it. “I see. Well, I would love to stay and chat but I must be going to my locker room. I am a busy person, just like yourself.” stated Akiha as she would then give a small bow before starting to make her way back to her locker room.

"Ja, auf viedersehen." Hilde replied with a smile and left as well.
