An Unfortunate Thread of Fate
After the rather messy incident some weeks ago, Mei-Li hadn't really gone out much. Though she had gotten over it for the most part, she still feared possibly running into Lu Jiao again, and in all honesty had no idea how she'd handle things. It had been the first time ever one of her impulse flings had ended so horribly, and given it was her first time with a girl Mei pondered if that was even normal. Still, with all the time she ended up spending indoors because of that, Mei was able to concentrate a lot more on her studies, and could proudly claim that she could speak Japanese. On an elementary level, at least.
After a quick meeting with her manager and turning in some paper work, Mei decided to spend some time wandering about the AFW administration building. She had heard there were some facilities available to the fighters, like swimming pools and sports therapy trainers and such, but she hadn't really taken the time to check them out before today. Dressed in a lime-green sun dress, the rural Chinese girl was humming cheerfully as she strolled aimlessly down the hallway, casually looking about for something interesting.

Jocelyn had been training, looking to stay in fighting shape while she waited for the next call. After a pretty intense workout, she had hit the saunas and done a bit of relaxing. One cool shower later and she was ready to leave the facilities and head out for the day.
So, without a second thought, she strolled through the AFW corridors, not minding the people she passed by. She would glance at them, just to note them down but they didn't matter. She wasn't even really looking for a fight, so her usual scowl was dampened slightly.
However, when one girl came into view, Jocelyn took an extra second to look her over, feeling a familiar air about her. Clearly she was Chinese, but...
Jocelyn froze. It was Mei-Li.
Jocelyn bit her lip. She had honestly felt bad for dragging Mei-Li into the middle of things with Yi Lan. Jocelyn the n furrowed her brow. No. Yi Lan was the one who had dragged Mei-Li into it. Jocelyn had been the bad guy from the get go so she just played the part.
Either way, she just stared at Mei-Li, trying to figure out what to do. It was actually tough for the Chistralian but after a moment of analysis paralysis, her body moved for her.
Jocelyn jumped at Mei-Li and crashed into her, she went quickly for the girl's wrists to try and pin them, and her, to the nearby wall.
<Don't scream! Please! Don't move! Just hold on for a second!> Jocelyn stammered quickly in Mandarin.

Re: An Unfortunate Thread of Fate
Continuing to hum, Mei-Li was happily oblivious to the coming danger until it was to late. Slammed into by a mystery assailant, the Chinese girl quickly found herself pinned against the wall by her wrists. Her adrenaline suddenly skyrocketing, she readied her counterattack, only to abruptly freeze once she saw her attacker's identity:
Lu Jiao.
The way the woman had acted the last time they met, Mei had assumed she wasn't in the AFW. No. No that could have just been another lie. Believing she wouldn't run into her here of all places was foolish. Feeling her heart sink, Mei had little doubt her last fling had ill-intentions for her, but somehow couldn't bring herself to act. Despite Jocelyn's pleas, she most likely would have screamed, had it not gotten stuck like a lump in her throat.
< "Aa-aahh... Ah... Y-y-you..." > Mei-li stuttered.

Re: An Unfortunate Thread of Fate
Jocelyn's face was close as she pinned Mei-Li against the wall. She stared into the girl's eyes and could feel her breath against her lips. Her countrywoman's ample chest pressed against Jocelyn's small one as the Chistralian tried to quickly think of a way to make sure that things did not spiral out of control.
<What are you doing here!?>
Although Mei-Li had said that she was joining AFW, Jocelyn hadn't actually believed her. Not really. And even if she HAD, she had figured the girl was so overcome with grief that she couldn't actually bring herself to seriously join a wrestling league.
But she had just said the first thing that came to mind. It probably wasn't the best choice, all things considered.

Re: An Unfortunate Thread of Fate
As the initial shock wore off, Mei rather abruptly pulled her hands free and tried to shove Jocelyn away from her.
"Wh=what you I...!" she tried to stammer out some broken Japanese, but quickly gave up a returned to her native tongue. < "I-I told you I was joining the AFW! Wh-what are you doing here!?"
A sudden fear jolted down her spine, as the idea Jocelyn might have joined the AFW as well to try and track her down. Though in reality that was not the case...

Re: An Unfortunate Thread of Fate
Jocelyn stumbled back when Mei-Li pushed her away, almost in shock that the girl was doing it even though it was completely in her right. Jocelyn launched at Mei-li again, trying to pin her back against the wall one more time. <Stop it!> She barked in Mandarin.
<Just stay still and let me explain things to you properly!> She demanded, despite probably going about it the worst way. She just needed Mei-Li to calm down and except things, but Jocelyn wasn't really thinking things through. <I didn't think you meant it, ok!?>

Re: An Unfortunate Thread of Fate
As Jocelyn came at her once more, Mei-Li began to feel both personally and physically threatened. Shaking off her nerves, she shifted into full combat mode.
< "S-stay away from me!" > she shouted, very swiftly stepping forward to intercept her 'attacker', while thrusting out with a palm strike to the chest.

Re: An Unfortunate Thread of Fate
Jocelyn was hastily cut off from anything she was trying when the rather efficient palm jammed into her chest. Her eyes bulged and she stepped back. She figured out well enough what just happened though she was honestly shocked.
"Shite.." She barked in English. "Listen, Sheila!" She growled and backed off enough to put her hands up in her own fighting stance. If Mei-Li was going to get frisky, then Jocelyn could too! <I didn't mean to drag you into all that!> She barked in mandarin. <And, I've been here for years.> She insisted.

Re: An Unfortunate Thread of Fate
The shocked look on Jocelyn's face actually made Mei-Li feel bad for a moment, though she quickly had to shake it off as the girl fell into a battle stance as well. Being in such a public place, and wearing only a rather flimsy sundress, left Mei pretty reluctant to fight, but somehow she felt it was already unavoidable at this point.
< "H-how shameful for a veteran like you to treat a novice as such...!" > she spat back somewhat indignantly, while trying to apply a sense of dojo logic, despite the fact that neither she nor probably Jocelyn ever actually trained in one. Mei had always wanted to, though.

Re: An Unfortunate Thread of Fate
<It wasn't ME!> Jocelyn spat as she tensed up. <I was perfectly fine with the night we were having alone! It was that bitch ex roommate of mine who HAD to make sure you got involved! And... then you took her side!> Jocelyn spat back, clenching her fists.
