Nice UFC show tonight.


Kinda feel bad for Holly Holm. The Dragonslayer gets slain, put to sleep and losing her belt, fame, and worth all in one shot after a good back and forth.

Not much money in a rematch with Rousey now, and unless she does something else, Holly's pretty much the "Buster Douglas" of UFC now.

As for Mcgregor losing...overall not too surprising. Dude had like, what, 11 days to bulk up 25 pounds of muscle and get used to fighting with it? Is it any wonder he gassed out? Diaz is laughing his way to the bank right now, cause he just manipulated his way to probably the biggest win of his career.

I still think Holly and Rouset rematch has some stock to it. Especially if Rousey gets a shot at Tate, which will definelty put some buts in seats for that rematch.

Honestly, the only part of that paragraph that seemed weird was that somebody plays American Truck Simulator.


...What do people see in a game that simulates a boring ass job anyway? I worked a as a city bus driver, a similar, though obviously different, job, and I wouldn't want to play a simulator game of it.

because i can either spend hundreds of dollars and an entire week, neither of which i can spare, going back home and getting away from the misery of the frozen sunless hellscape i currently live in, or i can spend zero dollars and an hour driving through a vague downscaled model of home and, for a very short while, forget that i'm stuck out here for at least the next six years which is functionally eternity by my standards

it's not a satisfying replacement but we work with what we've got rather than what we want

seriously, they buy the shit out of those sorts of games: Truck, Farm and Train. I guess Truck simulator is good if you've got a few podcasts to listen to but that's about it.

And yeah, that... that's a set of results right there. Called the Buster Douglas parallels with Holm when she first won.

Results be what they are, I saw two compelling matches develop. Nunes vs Tate and Holm vs Rousey seem like the next logical steps for the bantamweight division. The winners of those two matches would find themselves in another title fight down the line.

I think the second fight would be more of a draw than the first, but I would absolutely love to see both of those happen. Maybe even on the same card.
