Did they really just bring him back and have him face Cody in probably the biggest 5vs5 shambles in years?

One of the scenarios everyone thought could happen but nobody wanted to happen of course has happened. Classic WWE booking, although I am curious to see if they will play with the "Buddy gets pushed even if he sucks" rumors all over the Web.^^

Re: Topic: Wrestling?
So, another Survivor Series has come and gone and honestly...I dunno. I can't call this a BAD SS, because the matches themselves were mostly good and the crowd was active and it was kinda fun, but it does feel like a...directionless show.
I don't think WWE really knew what to do with Seth Rollins gone. They had a real chance tonight to throw a curve ball of some kind into the works, with Ambrose or Owens and they just kind of...didn't.
Sheamus, much as I like him, hasn't done anything since winning MITB. He lost to Orton, He beat Orton, lost a pre show at HIAC, then lost a meaningless match tonight, playing a comedic role beforehand, and now he's the main champion of the company. Just seems a little...odd.
Plus, he's aligned with the Authority...not exactly new. Right now the story is, Roman Reigns got screwed by the MITB winner, who pinned him to win the World Title, and was/became allied with The Authority as their main guy as Reigns chases him.
How is that ANY different than earlier this year with Seth Rollins? How is that ANY different from 2013 with Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan? WWE's creative team is so desperate for ideas that they are just rehashing the exact same storyline we've already had for two years straight.
Sure, having Owens or Ambrose, (or hell, even Del Rio) wouldn't FIX the problems, but at least it would be something different than what we've seen. Plus, at least those two get reactions from the crowd. Aside from chanting "You Look Stupid", nobody in the crowd gives, or has given, a shit about Sheamus in a long time and he's been NOWHERE near the main event level. Hell, he was left off the last two PPV cards because he's had NOTHING going for him.
Maybe WWE can figure something out, but they were having a lot of trouble before Seth got hurt, so who knows what will happen now. Maybe the people in charge legit don't realize what the problem is, or that their are problems to begin with, maybe they think things are just fine. That's...kinda sad.
On the bright side, the actual matches tonight were pretty good. Reigns/Del Rio was a fun back and forth, with some cool counters and even got a "This is Awesome" chant from the crowd. Reigns has showed that he CAN work and CAN have good-great matches and that he has improved, though sadly, he also showed later in the night he still can't promo. It's been a year and half since he went solo, he should be comfy in front of a microphone by now.
Owens/Ambrose was a good match too, nice back and forth. I found it funny that Reigns has been shoved down our throat by Vince as the second coming of Cena-Christ, and yet the crowd is still not FULLY sold on him, but Owens has been just doing his thing and being a total heel when and where he can, and the crowd LOVES him for it.
Funny enough, I didn't think the main event was as good. Some of that makes sense, since we saw them compete earlier, but it was just an alright match from two guys who can do so much more working together. It was more of a Raw match than a WWE World Title PPV match.
New day continues to be the best thing on the show. Long Live The New Day.
The Undertaker/Kane vs Wyatts match was good for what it was. It was mainly just a "Best of Undertaker" thing, something to give fans a chance to appreciate him. It was nice, and the way it was presented, it really kinda gave the impression that he might be on the way out. If Mania 32 REALLY is where he decides to call it quits, I think we might all be ready for it.
Wyatts themselves make good dance partners for Kane and Taker, but sadly I don't think Wyatt will ever reach the level he was at leading up to Mania 30. It's a shame.
Overall, good stuff in the ring...but weird direction for everything in the process.
Looking forward to seeing how they piss off everybody with the Royal Rumble this year XD
