Sucks for Rollins. He was always my favorite Shield guy, demonstrated that he is a surprisingly good promo man and was also very entertaining in his role as master architekt.

I was actually looking forward to the match with Reigns, too. It probably would've been pretty good, too. Really sucks all around.

At least some midcarders are gonna get an unexpected paycheck at SuSe now in the tournament. This probably also sadly means that the chance for a traditional Survivor Series match has sunk too with the tournament taking the lions share of focus.

That's a damn shame, but considering the near constant events they had Seth Rollins working it's not entirely surprising. Having him work two matches in one RAW is where they started pressing their luck. Since I've started getting back into wrestling some time last year he has been a constant fixture, so seeing the product without him will be like a whole new show.

...But...if there was ever a time for those midcarders to be elevated...and for whole new story lines to be written...

That's not really saying a lot tho. Many on the roster who can wrestle circles around Reigns are either people who likely never would've been legitimately considered for a run as world champ anyway, or people too involved with other story lines for a title run to make any sense for them right now. And they've pretty much been grooming Reigns for the role for quite a while now anyway. He was bound to get there sooner or later.

I'm at least expecting the tourney matches to be good, though I guess it depends on who all gets put in it.
