Sandalwood Cooper

Sandalwood Cooper
Sandalwood Cooper
Nationality: American (Portland, Oregon)
Height: 5'8
Weight: 133 lbs.
Age: 20
Theme: Kickstart My Heart--Motley Crue
Wrestling Style: Sandalwood is a highly aggressive fighter who favors flashy, fancy moves! Her strategy usually involves hitting people hard until they fall down, then either pulling them back on their feet so she can knock them down again or climbing up on ropes or turnbuckles to perform flashy, high flying springboards, frogsplashes, and hip drops on her opponent. Her knowledge of holds is very sketchy and she doesn't have much of an on the ground or hold game, but she makes up for it by being fast and strong.
Sandalwood's also an entertainer--which is why she does so many flashy moves--but it also means she gets distracted. If she's comfortably ahead, she'll stop attacking her opponent and instead address the crowd, hyping them up and getting them excited. She lives off the cheering and roaring of the crowd; when her adrenaline gets pumping, she can truck through debilitating pain and injuries, and become a really, really tough opponent to take down for good. However, if she loses her steam, or if she gets knocked around too bad, she gets sloppy and generally starts going down quick; her body isn't as tough as her mind is.
Favorite move is a double-foot dropkick to the face after hopping up into the air.
Backstory: Sandalwood grew up in Portland, Oregon. Her parents were major hippies, as was most of her community, but were very supportive of their girl in whatever she wanted to do. What she wanted to do was compete--Sandalwood turned out to be a major athlete! She played tennis, soccer, football... the list of sports she tried only grew longer the longer she was alive. However, everything changed when she signed up for the Portland City Woman's Wrestling League.
The Portland City Woman's Wrestling League (or PCWWL) was little, out of the way, and above all, host to some pretty terrible wrestlers. It was no wonder that a woman with as much natural talent as Sandalwood would rocket to the top of the rankings ("It only took me, like, two days or something!"). Her repeated and one sided victories went straight to Sandalwood's head; after six months of practically running the PCWWL, she decided she was a world class, unbeatable wrestler, and decided that the only place for her was the AFW itself!
Little did she know that her opponents had all been crap and the AFW had some weeeeiiiiiird rules...
Personality: Sandalwood actively tries to get excited about anything and everything. She's made a conscious decision to live life to the fullest, to make every event as cool as possible, and the effort has paid off. She's got an attractive enthusiasm and zest for wrestling, making her a shoo in for crowd favorite. She's quick to make bombastic and outrageous boasts; its the best way to make people remember her, too!
Her philosophy for self-confidence is 'fake it until you make it'. Wake up every morning, look in the mirror, and say 'I can do it. I'm awesome!' Say it until you believe it, because unless you believe it, its never going to happen! This leads to her being very intense in matches; she fights them like others would fight a tournament match, especially after her failure of a debut against Taylor Parker. She strongly believes that anyone can beat anyone if they want it more.
Match History:
Record: 0-1-0
Wins:
Losses:
Vs. Taylor Parker via pinfall
Sandalwood debuted in the Rookie Beat the Clock Challenge, a series of timed matches where rookies fought each other, trying to beat each other as fast as possible. Sandalwood's opponent was nominally Blossom Fields, but much to her chagrin, Lukretia pulled the rug out from under her and had Blossom Fields face the current champion of Friction, Angel. Sandalwood was set to go up against Angel, but before their fight could commence, Taylor Parker ran into the ring, taking everyone by surprise. Sandalwood would normally have not really cared--except that the two of them made the whole show about themselves, while having the nerve to completely ignore Sandalwood herself! Unfortunately for the Portland champion, her defeat at the hands of Taylor was crushing, to say the least. She was left unconscious on the mat as the two wrestlers basically flirted and strutted around like peacocks for a few seconds, before she was unceremoniously carted off back stage by fellow rookie Ashura...
Likes: Fruit, bright sunshiney days, poetry
Dislikes: Her name, cheaters, foods with weird names.
