This was it. It was Alaina's first matchup since her embarassing loss to Brittany Luuve. She finished fitting her knee and elbow pads, and adjusting her matching leopard print 2-piece ring attire. Alaina was uncharacteristically quiet today, not really talking to her dojo partner Julia as she got ready for the match. Lately a lot of things had been weighing on her. She had a rematch with Silver Ace coming up, she was dumped by a cheating boyfriend, she was screwed out of the entropy title by Gwendolyn and a paid off referee, finally there was her destruction at the hands of Brittany Luuve. It was a humiliating loss, and it took her out of the entropy title picture altogether.

Tonight she was going to make a statement. Alaina was no longer going to be pushed around be a whipping girl. Her debut had her lose out to a cheating scheemer, Z.Z who robbed her after the match along with her friend Fathia. That had set the tone for her first year in Friction.

That ended now. The two women left the locker room and were right by the entrance ramp when Alaina's theme hit the speakers.

"Hey Julia, are ya ready?" Alaina asked as the two went down to the ring as dojo partners for the first time. Alaina high fived a few fans, and did smile but it wasn't the same as her old giant grin and bounding entrance where she high fived everyone she could. There was no posing at the bottom of the ramp to fire up the crowd either. Alaina was all business today. As she climbed into the ring she nodded to Julia and settled into a corner, waiting for her opponent.

Julia couldn’t help but feel concerned. Something had been...off with Alaina all day long. She knew the Amazon had had a rough patch of matches recently, from being screwed out of her first major title opportunity to being destroyed in another match following that. And that hadn’t even been the full extent of her recent troubles. Julia could certainly understand the frustration, but carrying those kinds of frustrations into a match was often a recipe for disaster, one way or another.

She followed Alaina out of the locker room, and quickly noticed she almost had to jog just to keep up with the other woman. The music hit and the two burst through the curtain. Julia quickly put on her usual bright-as-the-sun smile and began waving to and high fiving the fans as she walked by, though she noticed Alaina kept any acknowledgement of the crowd to a bare minimum. At least, in comparison to what she’d normally do. “Y-yeah...” she replied, forcing her smile to stay in tact. And once Alaina was in the ring, Julia tried to liven up the mood in the arena. “A-LAI-NA! A-LAI-NA!” she started shouting out, and within a matter of seconds a vast majority of the crowd had taken up the chant too. “Stay cool in there! Ya got this, girl!” Julia called to Alaina from near her corner as they waited for the Amazon’s opponent...

Akino Sanada had just left the locker room and was calmly making her way through the backstage area toward the curtain. Not long ago she’d had a successful debut, in a hardcore match no less. A rematch with her opponent from that night would be taking place in the not so distant future, but for now the one-eyed woman was only focused on her immediate challenge. It was a classic David vs Goliath style matchup for sure, but it took much more than size to intimidate Akino. If her debut had shown anything, it was that she was one tough bitch who could take a good amount of punishment. And she was curious to find out just how tough this bigger girl was.

Her music played, and she walked through the curtain and down the ramp, clad in her blue and white maid outfit. She didn’t make any extra attempt to do anything insulting to the crowd, but she didn’t do anything to acknowledge them either, and simply walked straight for the ring. And once she made it there, she climbed on in and moved right to her corner, eyeing the Amazon across the ring from her.

Not much of a talker, Akino elected not to say anything, and simply waited for the bell to ring and get this match under way. And once it did, Akino crouched a bit and started to cautiously inch out from her corner, though she knew she’d have to be wary of Alaina’s size advantage. For the moment she would simply play it cool and wait to see what her foe would choose to do.

Alaina looked surprised. A maid? She lost so badly that management had her fighting against a house cleaner? "Hmph." Alaina huffed, shaking her head as Akino entered the ring. "Amazon versus a housecleaner... so thats what they think of me..."

In just about every other match, Alaina greeted her opponent and offered to shake her hand before the bell. Not this time. As the bell rang, Alaina moved forward and planted one foot while swinging her hips around, swinging her right leg as hard as she could at Akino's ribcage in an attempt to hammer her with a strong mid-section kick!

Akino just rolled her eye when she heard Alaina’s words, but offered no response. Whether it was because of the eyepatch or the maid outfit, almost everyone had an almost identical reaction. Whatever. Let everyone underestimate her all they wanted. She didn’t care. If Akino had anything to say about it, the amazon would soon find out this “housecleaner” was much more than that.

As she inched cautiously toward her opponent, Akino saw the powerful leg of her opponent hurling toward her, and quickly jumped back to let the limb fly by in front of her, though she took a mental note of how dangerous such a simple move was from someone as strong as this.

Though Akino wasn’t a speed demon, she decided to see if she could use quickness to her advantage against her larger foe, and charged forward right after dodging the kick. She then dropped to a knee and attempted to reach out and grab onto the leg Alaina was standing on while sliding behind her. If successful, she’d then pull on it while pushing her shoulder into the hamstring of the amazon, hoping to trip her and bring her down to the mat. With any luck, keeping things on the ground just might neutralize the size disadvantage Akino was facing.

Alaina's kick missed and Akino took advantage of her opportunity! Alaina fell on her stomach hard! "Omph! Get off of me!" She shouted as Akino grabbed her left leg from behind. If this woman could keep Alaina grounded, that would nullify a lot of her strength advantage. Alaina wasn't happy about that at all! Getting outsmarted by someone dressed as a maid really got under Alaina's skin... normally something like that didn't register on her radar. Now? Now there was a focus that wasn't there before.

Alaina kicked at Akino with her right leg once she fell, trying to hit her hard enough to create some space and make her way back up to her feet!

Akino’s craftiness worked to her advantage, as she managed to catch the amazon by her leg and topple her down to the mat. “Make me.” she replied bluntly to Alaina’s shout, naturally unwilling to relinquish her advantageous position so easily. She’d keep holding onto the taller woman so long as doing so would keep her down.

Meanwhile, Julia was cheering Alaina on from outside the ring. “You’re ok, Alaina! Just stay relaxed!” she called out, trying to keep her friend level headed, knowing a simple takedown was nothing to worry about.

Whether heeded, or at least heard her wasn’t entirely clear. But Akino was just starting to try to twist the leg in her grasp to perhaps lock it into some kind of hold, the amazon’s free leg shoved her off. The blue haired girl lost her grip and was pushed back a couple feet, stumbling onto her hands and knees in the process. “Tch.” she muttered, before quickly pulling herself back up.

Alaina heard Julia outside and did her best to allow the cheers to motivate her just as the noise from the crowd did. Alaina worked her way up to her feet as quickly as she could, rising up next to Akino just about the same time Akino got up herself.

Alaina moved towards Akino reaching out to grapple with her, working her hands to a grip of Akino's head. Once this was established Alaina would turn and whip Akino over her shoulder in an attempt to hit her with a quick snapmare! If this hit, Alaina would get up and quickly deliver a fast kick to the maids spine!

Almost as soon as Akino was back on her feet, the amazon was already coming toward her. With not enough time to try to lunge away, the smaller woman had no choice but to try grappling back with Alaina as her foe’s arms came in. But she quickly felt them grab onto her head, and the maid was then flipped forward onto her rear with a snapmare. And then before she could react, Alaina’s leg then crashed right into the center of her back, creating a loud smack that echoed through the arena.

“Agh!” she shouted while grimacing in pain, and her hand moved over the spot that had been struck as she leaned back to lay on the mat. And outside the ring, Julia continued to cheer Alaina on.

“Nice shot!” she shouted with a bright smile.

Alaina nodded to Julia and winked, but wanted to keep up the pressure! As Akino was right in front of her in a sitting position Alaina sat behind her, pressing up against Akino's back. She wrapped her legs around her waist, and arms around her throat to get Akino is a rear naked choke!

Alaina loved this move. It was simple, effective and almost like a two for one deal. She squeezed on her midsection with her thighs as hard as she could while cranking up the pressure with her arms on Akino's throat! "All right... just tap out and save us both a lot of trouble!"

Akino was given almost no time to recover after the big kick to her spine, and within seconds the amazon’s legs clamped around her waist and her arms coiled around her throat, locking her in a deadly rear naked choke! Holy shit, she’s strong! Akino thought to herself, her eyes quickly shooting wide in reaction to the intense pressure as the larger girl’s limbs strangled and constricted her.

Immediately she began to kick and squirm about, though it quickly became clear the hold was on too tight for her to just slip out of, and Alaina was too heavy to drag like this. The smart move definitely would’ve been to tap out, and for a moment Akino even considered it. But the thought of surrendering this soon was too much for her to accept.

“No...chance...!” she choked out in defiance while grimacing in pain and discomfort, and lifted her right arm up. Akino then began to slam the point of her elbow down right against the center of Alaina’s powerful thigh repeatedly, like a jackhammer pounding against concrete. If she could make her release, or at least loosen the body scissor, the maid would then try to squirm out of the grasp of her lethal legs before attempting to reach out with her feet in an attempt to find the nearest rope to force the amazon to release her completely.
