I don't think it's fair to complain about Cena retaining the title every week.

He's helped take a title that for a long time meant nothing and elevated it to a point of importance. He's made the US title matter again.

It's not like he's having squash matches every week either. He's putting over NXT talent, and he's putting them over hard. Zayn and Neville both looked fucking great in their matches again him, and last night (even though they didn't actually have a match), he made Kevin Owens and the NXT title look damn meaningful.

Not a fan of Cena the wrestler. Never was, never will be. But I appreciate his willigness to carry the US Belt and help showcase NXT talent, like Alexandra says.

You know what? That's a fair argument. I just wish there was any chance of Cena losing the title in one of these open challenges instead of it being a no stakes Cena is gonna win every open challenge and if he loses the title it'll be at a ppv. But he does make his opponents look decent in the match and he's really hyping up the US belt, so there is that.

He did....which was weird. I think the crowd confused him.

Pretty damn good match. Lots of fun back and forth, cool superkick counter from Tyler, Finn kicked out of the Beauty Shot, then leaped off the damn NXT entrance stage onto Tyler, then later hit that double stomp of his for the win.

Next up, Charlotte and Bayley vs Emma and Dana Brooke!

Yeah, that was cool.

Bayley and Charlotte win after Charlotte gets the pin on Emma with Natural Selection...was an alright match. Simple, fast paced. They kinda botched the ending though. Was a timing issue, Bayley was just a bit too slow in making her spot, causing a stall for a second, was just barely noticeable. Good show so far.

Next up, Baron Corbin vs Rhyno!
