Haruka Date vs. Chisato Sakurai

Haruka smiled contentedly as she slammed Chisato into the turnbuckle. It was a good defense, she thought, and more importantly it worked. Haruka took a tentative step forward before turning around. The Silent Phoenix was completely blindsided by the spectacular aerial assault Chisato had hit her with. She flew back and skidded to a halt near the center of the ring.

There wasn't a whole lot of getting up from that one. Haruka tried feebly before returning to the white expanse of the mat. All she was concentrated on was getting her breathing right again. There she was, face down and eyes closed. Haruka tried to get up again, this time trying to concentrate a little more.

Flying through the air as this time both feet hit Haruka with more force than the first attempt, Chisato crashed on the mat on her stomach. Prepared for the rough landing, she quickly got to her feet as she saw that Haruka wasn't as quick to her feet as her. Now was the chance she was fighting for, she had to capitalize on it.

Approaching the downed Haruka, Chisato wanted to begin wearing down her opponent and making it easier to deal with as the match went on. Reaching for Haruka's right arm, Chisato would wrap her left arm around it and her right arm grabbing the wrist as she pressed her body into the shoulder and pulling the arm at the same time, locking Haruka into a Fujiwara armbar.

If she had managed to lock in her submission, Chisato would now take the time to breathe and calm herself down, needing to take this fight to a lower pace and pick apart Haruka, though it was still early on in the fight to say that it was a sure-fire plan to victory...

Haruka cried out as the armbar was expertly locked in. The Silent Phoenix offered no resistance as Chisato carefully found the best position to cause the most pain. Chisato might have been able to calm herself a bit but Haruka lacked such a luxury. She tried to pull and twist and shimmy her way out of the hold.

The efforts were not concentrated or singular and Haruka managed to calm herself. What she could not do was panic and flail around like a rookie. What she could do is try to twist her body so that she could send her knee right into Chisato's bum. The move would be a little obvious, but Haruka tried it anyways, mustering all the power she could and bending herself to her full capacity.

Chisato saw that Haruka was making the right decision by not panicking and trying to calm herself down despite the pain of the submission. To try and balance it out, Chisato would wrench on the arm, pressing herself into the shoulder and pulling back the arm. However she wasn't able to do that long as Haruka kneed her in the butt.

With the way that Haruka was twisted, Chisato had to stop leaning into the shoulder as it would allow Haruka to roll over on her back and Chisato with her focused pressure on the arm would be used against her and be rolled over. To counter this, Chisato would slide her body out and away from Haruka, stretching the arm out more and keeping her butt away from Haruka as she hoped that this new position would force Haruka to twist herself flat on her stomach.

Haruka had never learned the defense for this. The Silent Phoenix could throw kicks with the best of them but this was pure wrestling and Chisato had managed to worm her way out of the range of Haruka's violent knees. And now even more pressure was being applied to her arm and she was in even more pain. She managed to resist the urge to cry out in pain.

The Silent Phoenix was now flat on her stomach. And like a phoenix, she would have to rise from these ashes. Haruka tried to focus herself, to try and pull her arm through the hold and use her strength to break her arm free from the excruciating hold.

Chisato was getting over confident, she was feeling so great about herself that she managed to take down Haruka and keep her grounded with this painful hold. It didn't matter if she was going to tap out or not, Chisato knew that she was dealing damage to her opponent and that all that mattered.

However her grip wasn't kept up as Haruka quickly and powerfully ripped her arm away from Chisato. Eyes widened, Chisato was in shock that she allowed for this to happen as she quickly rolled away from Haruka to prevent her from counterattack. The sudden change in events made Chisato aggravated and agitated as she knew that she needed to keep advantage in her corner as she haphazardly raced at Haruka...

Haruka was up. Her arm was aching, her heart was pounding, the crowd was off their seats in anticipation. But more importantly, Haruka was up. The Silent Phoenix was in her stance and even with her arm in pain she was still formidable. Chisato was darting towards her and she knew she would have to go in to action quickly if she wanted to win.

Unfortunately for Chisato, thinking and acting quickly was one of Haruka's better traits in the ring. The situation didn't call for one of Haruka's more daring or graceful moves. Hell, she didn't even jump, knowing her green-haired opponent's momentum would send her flying. This was the time for going back to basics. She took one step forward to try and find her balance and then shot her knee up as quickly as she could, trying to find Chisato's chin.

Rushing in was a poor decision for Chisato and she paid for it greatly as Haruka's knee rammed straight up into her chin, causing Chisato to do a half flip as her legs shot up and her body twisted to land on her stomach. Her vision and head was spinning after the vicious hit as her hand shakily went up to clutch her jaw.

This was the punishment for letting Haruka go from the armbar and hastily charging in to try and in vainly keep her advantage. Now the motions of momentum were against her as she laid on her stomach.

The loud clunk of Haruka's knee colliding with Chisato's jaw bounced around the arena. The crowd was cheering raucously after Haruka's successful attack. The Silent Phoenix would do her best to keep that momentum going. She made it to the ropes in just a few lightning steps and leaped to the top one. For a second, she perched on top of it, like a frog. But she knew her balance on the top rope was precarious, and bounded off ot it.

Haruka did an elegant flip in the air before trying to bring down her body weight on Chisato. If she could pull the move off, she would rock Chisato's body with pain. The Silent Phoenix hoped that her knee was enough to rattle Chisato's defenses out of her.

Still rocked with confusion, Chisato laid on her stomach as she was blissfully unaware of Haruka's movement as she soon was brought the painful truth as Haruka jumped off the top rope and crashed on to her back. "Gahh!" she cried out as she arched her back with Haruka on top as her hand quickly shot back to her lower back to try and relieve the pain. It did not help.

As soon as Haruka got off of her, Chisato would quickly start to roll towards the edge of the ring, hoping to get a break in on Haruka's momentum as she would try to find a breather outside on the floor as she rolled out from beneath the bottom rope.
