Tag Match - Alicia & Amanda vs. Akiko & Yukiko: A Storm of Frost and Flames

Akiko and Yukiko stood together in the locker room, eagerly preparing for their first official tag-team match. It would be the first time in years that the two ex-street gang leaders would be fighting alongside one another, although the battlefield this time was going to be a far cry from what they were used to. Nevertheless, the two perky, energetic girls were undaunted, slipping into their bikinis for the match; Akiko in a vibrant orange one, Yukiko's a soft blue.

"It sure was pretty snarky of them to pit us against a similarly named tag-team like this..." Akiko remarked, as she slid on her pair of matching boots. "Then again, it's kinda a generic theme, so maybe we were askin' for it..."

"Akiko-san, I'm pretty sure you used to think the title everyone gave us was the coolest thing ever." Yukiko giggled, sliding into her own pair of boots.

"Sh-shut up, Yuki-chan. Th-that was back then..." Akiko mumbled, blushing slightly as she remembered some of her childish nerdy thoughts from some years ago. She liked to think her tastes were more refined now. Still nerdy. But more refined.

Their bit of banter was cut short as the room signal sounded, informing the girls it was their time to enter.

With a blast of squeaky J-Pop music, Akiko and Yukiko both entered the arena, making their way down the ramp towards the ring. Still the introvert, Akiko appeared somewhat stiff, as she smiled and waved to the fans. The peppy Yukiko looked far more in her element, with a slight hop in her step, smiling brightly and waving with both arms. As they finally reached the ring, the two of them both climbed up onto the apron in their corner. Going through some quick, last-minute stretches to stay limber, they awaited their foes for tonight, eager to get a good look at them.

Alicia and Amanda were backstage in the locker rooms as they prepared for their debut match, both of them were excited and anxious about their first match although both of them expressed it differently. Alicia was smiling as she quickly changed out of her normal clothes while Amanda was taking a slower pace. "Are you ready to show those losers who have a similar name as us?" Alicia spoke out as she slipped into her light bluish white bikini as her sister changed into her red bikini.

Amanda didn't respond to her sister's musings as she didn't see a real problem with similar names since they had their own flair to it. Alicia however continued to talk, a common thing during every conversations with the twins "What are you talking about Amanda? We're going to cream them! Come on I hear our music!" Alicia let out as she head out the door with Amanda trailing behind in a more stoic calm manner.

A generic theme song took over the arena speakers as Alicia appeared on stage first as Amanda came after her more excited sister as the two of them approached the ring, Alicia climbing up the apron and jumping over the ropes while Amanda walked up the stairs and through the ropes as the twins stood across their opponents. "So you're the 'Frozen Flame Combo?' What kind of a stupid name is that!?" Alicia let out, already antagonizing their foes as Amanda let out a frustrated sigh as her sister was up to her old habits.

"Ugh, I knew we shoulda made a new name..." Akiko muttered under her breath, feeling slightly uncool.

Yukiko however, didn't hear her, as she was bristling with indignity. Yes, the name was a bit childish, but to her it was symbolic of her friendship with Akiko, something she held very dear. The cheesy romantic at her core couldn't stand anyone mocking it. Especially when it was pretty much the pot calling the kettle black.

"Oh yeah!? You're one to talk, 'Roses of Ice and Fire'!" She spat back angrily. "So lame and cliche!" Feeling riled up, Yukiko marched towards the center of the ring, challenging Alicia to come forward and meet her.

Akiko remained back, watching Yukiko storm off. She seemed more confrontational than normal, though Akiko did not think much on it. "She's probably just anxious..." she thought to herself, remembering Yukiko's love of fighting.

Alicia did not take the retaliation insult well, "What!? It is not lame and cliche! It's a classic, like the story!" she shouted as she saw the one in the soft blue heading towards the center of the ring as she also moved forward. Amanda was about to stop her sister, but stopped herself as she knew that Alicia was extremely difficult in this state and decided to let things play out the way Alicia wanted it instead of stopping her.

Confronting Yukiko in the center of the ring, Alicia made no small attempts to try and bully the other girl into submission as she got in her opponent's face. "What the hell is a Frozen Flame Combo!? You can't freeze a fire! At least ours make sense!" she shouted as she continued to question their opponent's name, "Tell you what, for having such a boring name, me and my sister will keep your beating light and easy!" Alicia boasted, continuing to demean and insult her opposite while Amanda watched her sister from afar.

Part of the charm of the 'Frozen Flame Combo' name had been the magical sense it had to it, though, to Yukiko that fact seemed clearly lost on this girl here. She decided not to waste her breath on it. As an ex-gang leader, it was not the first time Yukiko had had to deal with impetuous young upstarts. She knew if anything was going to get through Alicia's thick skull she was going to have to beat it in there.

At the same time, there was no way she was going to back down with her opponent right in her face like that, plus it had been a while since she got to spit trash talk...

"I'd like to see that happen!" She scoffed right back in Alicia's face. Akiko-san and I will have you two groveling at our feet, praising how cool our name is!"

Roses of Ice and Fire, just like the classical story of the same name, or so Alicia thought she couldn't actually be for certain. But she wasn't going to admit that to her opponent, for even losing a single step against Yukiko was an unacceptable happening. "Ha! Groveling? What are you, 50?" Alicia mocked Yukiko for her choice of 'out dated words' in Alicia's words, "After we beat you two into the ground, I'm going to have you kiss my foot and begging for forgiveness for ripping off our name!" Alicia boasted as her sister let out another sigh in the back.

Amanda knew that Alicia's mouth and escalating nature would become a factor in this match as it seemed like the girl she was arguing with had a similar mindset. It further drove home the point that there was more similarities between the two teams besides their names.

Meanwhile, Akiko let out a yawn, as she lounged against the corner post, watching Yukiko verbally go at it with the loud girl from the other team. Akiko wasn't sure if Yukiko herself was aware of her bad habit of trying to rile up her opponents before fights, but it never really had caused that much of a problem before, so she never really brought it up. Still, she was starting to get bored, and the match did need to start eventually...

"Oyyyyy! Yuki-chan, wrap it up already! We gotta get this thing started!"

Yukiko probably could have gone back and forth at it all day, but Akiko was right; they weren't here just to argue. Deciding to finish up, she decided she was going to make this girl put her money where her mouth was.

"Okay, how's this then? The losers have to admit to the winners that their name is better." Yukiko suggested smugly. It was petty, sure, but getting some recognition for the name she treasured so would be more than satisfying to her.

Completely oblivious to how long this argument was lasting until the other member of the opposing team spoke out, Alicia realized that she wasted too much time talking as Yukiko threw down the gauntlet. However, Alicia was not satisfied with just admitting the other team name was better and raised the stakes. "If that's what you're offering, then how about we add a little bit more? Losers kiss the Winners' feet!" she shouted, proud of her stipulation as she was confident that she and Amanda were going to win and taking pride in having their opponents do something demeaning rather than just accepting their tag team name to be better.

Amanda on the other hand rolled her eyes back briefly into her head as another outrageous thing came out of her sister's mouth once again. She always had to deal with the repercussions of her sister's fiery attitude, which ironically was opposite of her title, but she always did it for her sister. Even if she didn't agree with what her sister ranted about, most of the time.

"Fine, you're on." Yukiko smirked, confident she was going to make Alicia eat her own words. "I better not hear any complaints later when you're kissing our feet." And with that, she spun around, returning to her corner for the time being.

Akiko sighed a bit, hearing Yukiko buy in to their foe's silly wager. At the very least, it was a far cry from some of the more ridiculous bets that Yukiko's impulsiveness had gotten them into. The maid cafe and the streaking incidents certainly took the crown there. Luckily this girl appeared to be on the un-creative side.

"I don't want them kissing my feet. That's gross." Akiko stated blunty, slightly annoyed at her light blue partner.

"They can just kiss my feet twice or something." Yukiko replied breezily, clearly not that concerned.

Preparing for the match to start, Akiko climbed outside, while Yukiko remained in the ring to fight first. Per their usual strategy, the impulsive Yukiko would act as the vanguard, while the calculating Akiko would hang back while observing the fight and coming up with a plan.

"Ha! Tough talk coming from future losers!" Alicia shouted as she walked back to her corner, brimming with excitement on having the joy of inflicting humiliation on already defeated opponents. Amanda was too pleased with the new kissing feet stipulation as she let out another sigh as she climbed out on to the apron, "Ready to stomp them into the ground, Amanda?" Alicia confidently spoke as she stood ready in her corner, waiting for the bell to ring.

Shortly after, the bell rang as Alicia was quick out of the corner, looking to engage her opposite in form of Yukiko. As their strategy dictated, Alicia was to be the first in the ring due to her quicker style to weaken and scout her opponent while her sister would come in and brutalize with her harder hits. Alicia had no clue that their opponent shared the same tactic while Amanda knew that it was the norm in tag-team action.

Approaching the center of the ring, Alicia would wait for Yukiko to come close as she lifted her hands to try and initiate a test of strength lock up.
